DaVinci Resolve 14 Review

PROS: What makes this software very good is its affordability. You can use it for free and still get a full video editor, but if you want to experience all its features, you can opt to use the premium version. It is great with editing and compositing videos.

CONS: I sometimes experience lags and crashes while using the program. But I'll still recommend it 100% because all its features are worth it.

PROS: I was able to get a professional video editing tool at a relatively cheap price. To add to this, it has all the tools I need for color correction. Truly, one of the best tools in the industry.

CONS: It can be quite difficult to learn all its features since not many tutorials can be found online.

PROS: DaVinci Resolve is a recommended editing software for professionals. It offers color correction; a wide array of effects and transitions for videos, images, and audio; and a deliver section where you can export videos in different formats and codecs.

CONS: It can be quite difficult to learn for beginners, but as you practice you start to get the hang of using it.

PROS: It's the best color-grading application out there. I am a professional filmmaker and I can say that this is truly the best out of the best as it has way more tools, settings and possibilities.

CONS: If you are using this app for the first time, it can be hard to understand. You need to watch tutorials and sometimes seek for professional help in order to navigate the application better.

PROS: Its free version is already a full-featured video editor. I cannot say the same for most video editing software. The best part, it has a color correction tool!

CONS: My only con for DaVinci Resolve is that it can be a little heavy on laptops and computers, so it tends to lag.

PROS: DaVinci Resolve is very powerful editing software that is free and has everything you need for editing. It can even make you forget about other options like Adobe Premiere or FinalCut.

CONS: It can be quite difficult to learn for beginners. But then again, we have YouTube tutorials to help us with this.

PROS: An absolute blessing as it's free! We often had to create short videos for teachers and this application saved us from low-quality editing software because of its affordability. But despite this, the video quality it produces is at a professional level. It is just what we need for us to run our business.

CONS: It doesn't have as many plugins as other editing software.

PROS: What I like most about DaVinci Resolve is its feature called color grading and management. And when it comes to workflow, the sound and editing features are unbeatable. Using this app, I don’t need to navigate and use multiple applications to finish the project. It is a centralized platform where you can do almost all editing tasks and get the expected result you need.

CONS: So far, I never find any problems with the software. It’s good and works amazingly.

PROS: I like the features they included in this excellent tool. It supports multiple GPUs and 4K Video Output as well as audio waveforms on the compound, timeline, and multi-cam clips. I also appreciated its redesigned effect library because it is now easy to use, and searching effects there is much faster this time. Additionally, the noise reduction feature is doing great in fine-tuning the production’s audio.

CONS: It does great, and it comes with so many helpful features, but some still need some improvements for it to be counted as one of the industry-leading platforms.

PROS: The workflow is fantastic. What impressed me is the combination of amazing tools for color grading and color management. And the possibility to provide a whole timeline as separate clips for my specific stock workflow is truly impressive. Although the platform comes with many features that I don’t usually use, its modular design makes them almost unnoticeable—the sectioned workflow enables me to utilize only the features that matter to me most without having to overwhelm myself with unutilized features.

CONS: Everything in this software is great. No downside so far.

PROS: What impressed me most is that this online video editor has some of the most advanced features and tools that I can use without spending a dime. I personally like its audio editing tool because of the amazing end-result it provides.

CONS: You can’t fully explore your creativity because of certain limitations of features. But this issue doesn’t seem to bother me since it’s free.

PROS: DaVinci Resolve comes with a wide variety of powerful features, making it the most impressive video post-production suite today. It is robustly incorporated with video and audio editor, color management tools, and effects and compositing bundles. I like how they included some powerful improvements on this app, which matched other well-known video post-production software available today. Both its free and paid versions are compelling, but if you want to unlock more advanced features, you need to subscribe to the paid ones.

CONS: Its user interface can be quite overwhelming for newbies or to those who want to finish their projects fast. But all in all, it looks professional.

PROS: Many things I like about DaVinci Resolve! I appreciate its features such as grading and color tools, the ability it gives me to create and edit films, the ability to modify or add script and Fusion project directly into the timeline, and the exporting capability so I can change formats or complete the project on other platforms. All these amazing features can only be found on this amazing platform!

CONS: I like everything about DaVinci Resolve. I mean, come on, why should I complain about its excellence in helping me finish my projects? The end-results are just amazing as it yields high production values. Everything on this platform works as expected!
