Overview of Nagios XI Benefits

Comprehensive Monitoring Of IT Infrastructure

With Nagios XI, companies and organizations can comprehensively monitor their IT infrastructure. Thus, the server and networking monitoring software ensures that they are able to monitor all the critical components of their IT infrastructure that affect how they run their business processes and everyday operations. It supports the monitoring of IT infrastructure components such as applications, services, operating systems, network protocols, and system metrics.

Visibility Of Network Components And Monitoring Data

Because Nagios XI allows the comprehensive monitoring of IT infrastructure, it makes sure that users will be able to easily view all the components of their network and all the monitoring data and information they need.

It is built with a web interface where users can access powerful dashboards, providing them with high-level overviews of hosts, services, network devices, and other components of their IT infrastructure including their business processes. At a glance, they will be able to access all the valuable information and data they need in order to monitor their network efficiently and effectively.

Powerful Monitoring Engine

The software also uses a powerful monitoring engine called Nagios Core 4. With this monitoring engine, they will be able to check the performance of their servers. Nagios Core 4 utilizes processes that help users scale up the way they perform server performance monitoring.

Helpful Configuration Wizards

Nagios XI comes with configuration wizards which are very helpful because they guide users to properly monitor new devices, services, and applications. With these configuration wizards, users no longer need to deal with complex monitoring processes and concepts. All they need to do is to enter the required information, and then they can immediately conduct monitoring.

Capacity Planning

Capacity planning is another powerful feature available in Nagios XI. This feature permits users to identify the issues in their existing systems and other  IT infrastructure components and come up with plans so they can upgrade their infrastructure. This way, they can quickly replace outdated systems and components, improving network performance and reducing costs associated with network problems and issues.

Advanced Graphs

The capacity planning capability of the software is optimized and accelerated by its advanced graphs. Through the aid of these graphs, users can quickly view network issues and troubleshoot them, solving them before they even escalate into more serious problems. In addition, the software sends alerts to IT staff, stakeholders, and end users via email or text when network incidents such as an outage occur. They will receive details about the network incident so they can understand its impact or resolve it immediately.

Multi-Tenant Capabilities

Nagios XI delivers multi-tenant capabilities. This means the software can accommodate multiple users and provides features so these users are easily managed. For instance, admins can configure the software so that stakeholders and clients can view only the infrastructure components specified for them.

Advanced User Management

There is another multi-tenant capability which can be found in Nagios XI’s advanced user management feature. Here, admins will be able to easily create new user accounts with just a few clicks. Once they’re done setting up new accounts, they can assign roles to the new users. Thus, they can easily extend the capability to monitor configurations and system settings to team members and end users.

Extendable Server And Network Monitoring Solution

To wrap it up, Nagio XI offers an extendable architecture. Through the aid of its APIs, users will be able to integrate the software with their existing in-house applications as well as with third-party applications. The software also allows users to access add ons developed by communities, permitting them to extend the monitoring and alerting functionalities of Nagios XI.
