PROS: The biggest plus of using PrestaShop is that you can choose whether to run it on your native server, or to pick a cloud one that you like. I chose to run it natively (I have a pre-costumed OS X Client Server), and what I like the most is that I get to use it equally well on Microsoft and Linux. The tool is user-friendly, easy, and free, and for what I've seen so far, they are constantly working to improve the interface. Novice users without online business experience can also benefit from a free design interface to familiarize with the platform.
CONS: Not liking something about PrestaShop is just impossible. However, there are few hints I'd like to warn you about. First, don't run it natively unless you have the experience to do so! For the purpose, you'd have to know MySQL, some Apache basics, and PHP too.BIND and SSL are also desirable. To make things even worse, the ideal case is to run it on two servers (a back-up/maintenance one and a production one), and you can definitely mess up the database there if you don't know mySQL. For your first store, I recommend Bitnami Development, since running it on cloud is probably the easiest option available. Set up will run much smoother there, and back up will be automated. So, yes, choose that one!
The least favorable review
PROS: The only good aspect about it is that it's free, because I would never pay even a dime for it.
CONS: Your product import feature is one of the worst on the market. You should take a look at the import procedure that the old Interspire Shopping Cart (which is now Big Commerce) uses and learn from it. If you just don't care or don't know how let me know and I can refer you to some real programmers.

PROS: PrestaShop is a popular choice of the platform meant for start-ups and established entrepreneurs. Nowadays, online selling is known to be the biggest trend in business since most shoppers prefer to buy via the Internet rather than visit a physical store because it is more convenient. You can build a site with only a minimal budget. Using the platform will not cost anything; all you need is to pay for the add-ons to take advantage of its additional features. I enjoyed my experience in using PrestaShop because of its reliable support team who are willing to help you resolve any issues every step of the way. If you are planning to venture into online selling, this platform is worth recommending. It comes with stringent security measures that protect users against fraud, offer options for dropshipping purposes, SEO optimization, multiple payment options, and so much more. You can customize or upgrade anytime you wish by subscribing to their add-ons. The company behind PrestaShop has been around for a decade, and they have proven that they are capable of doing the job.
CONS: I find the product very useful and cost-efficient. There is no need to worry about recurring membership and pre-termination fees. Plus, it comes with so many features that you can maximize your online selling business. So far, the product is the best in the market, and there is nothing that I do not like about it.

PROS: PrestaShop is a very reliable platform dedicated to e-commerce, and it has a large community of loyal followers and users. It comes with a variety of free and paid modules that you can utilize to help promote your website, get more feedback, and improve your customer service. Prestashop is very versatile, and it plays a vital role in the growth of your online business. They utilize the hook strategy to keep modules interesting and marketable, which is a great idea.
CONS: I think that the API strategy needs a lot of improvement, which hopefully can be done in just a few months. It would be nice if they could upgrade the front end into VIU/JavaScript or REACT/JavaScript that would greatly help us enhance our client's browsing experience. We weren't able to customize our site right away because of incomplete action hooks, which plays a significant role in web development. We are also hoping that PrestaShop should start working on upgrading their search tabs, making it easier to filter data using either one of this information: Country, City, State, and Zip Code for faster access. There are a lot more features that need further development to ensure that our site would get the best rankings across all search engines.

PROS: I have been using this Prestashop as a platform for building websites for the past few years. There are things that I like and dislike at the same time. Personally, it is a pretty decent app, and it does not deserve to get low or bad reviews at all. Users indeed tend to experience bugs occasionally; their paid modules or add-ons cause that. If you want to upgrade your site's features you need to choose the type of module that suits your needs. The problem is that a different developer or programmer is in charge of each module. If something goes wrong, it is quite challenging to ask for real-time support. On the positive side, my websites are getting good rankings in Google, Yahoo, and Bing as compared to my competitors, who are all under Shopify. I put the credit to PrestaShop for amazing SEO optimization strategies as solo web hosting proves that you are in control of your business operations. PrestaShop is highly recommended to small business owners because it can help you grow your company and increase your sales figures faster than a traditional business. It gives you the freedom to customize your e-commerce sites to look more visually appealing and efficient for your clients. However, you should expect bugs to arise now and then so all you need to do is to hire a third-party web developer to get things running smoothly. Currently, I could not find another company that can surpass the performance of PrestaShop, so I guess that I will continue to use the platform until such time I find something better. However, if they do something to get rid of the bugs for good, then I am one hundred percent sold to this company.
CONS: The price of the platform is reasonable; however, if you include the add-ons, it starts to become more expensive. In reality, if you want your website to stand out, it is essential to subscribe to several add-ons. I wish that they could offer a plan that incorporates everything that you need to keep your business running smoothly.

PROS: My site has been stagnant for the past year or so, and I am looking for ways to increase my daily visitors and get more clients. I stumbled across PrestaShop, and I immediately fell in love with its features and built-in functionality. It allows users to optimize their websites so it can load faster and give clients a better browsing experience.
CONS: I am continually having challenges in setting up the on-page that is essential in the optimization of my e-commerce website. I need it to increase my site's Google ranking, which is relevant for business. Another issue is that I could not edit the content of each page. I was told that I could find the link on the sidebar, but unfortunately, there is none, and it is frustrating. I am hoping that I can get more tutorials to avoid going through these issues once again.
Best tool to use if you are aiming to increase website traffic through SEO.

PROS: Our company specializes in SEO optimizations by assisting SMEs in building their site, promoting their brand, and increasing their search engine rankings. We have been in the business for years and tried various e-commerce platforms. I can say that among its competitors, it is PrestaShop that stood out. It gives us various add ons and features on how to create an excellent e-commerce platform for our existing and future clients.
CONS: So far, everything has been going smoothly with PrestaShop. I have nothing wrong to say against the platform. I hope that they remain consistent.

PROS: Worst experience with PrestaShop, I am a developer and I had worked on almost all kind of CMS but I have very bad experience with PrestaShop. Firstly their support always not responds. You have to purchase a module at a very high rate even if you want to make cash on delivery function. There always new bugs in their new updates like I updated my site to new Prestashop version and add to cart function stopped working for some products. Presta is just time wasting, Wordpress is much better at least you have a wide choice to customize your contents. Prestashop hosting is also not easily available on common providers like GoDaddy and Namecheap and hosting is very expensive and its price varies on the number of modules you install into your site.....
CONS: They should provide basic modules free of cost and also there should be free themes and their support should respond to customer queries. They should look for customer ease too instead of looting everywhere.

PROS: Ideal software for medium businesses, with turnover of maximum 5 M euros. Smart online solutions, where resources are complete, consumable, and reasonably structured. Just recently, they introduced a set of functional templates, those were very helpful to our business. Don't worry about the options you can't find, the user community will come up with some add on you can buy and add to your platform. Finally, the unbeatable advantage of being free! Yes, you read right-you won't have to pay a penny on platform mode , can you believe it?
CONS: The cache is still not good enough to handle peak loads the way it should. However, that shouldn't be an issue for users that mastered the program, I guess it becomes a habit after a while. What is really sad is that the product doesn’t have a proper back-up framework (Symfony or Zend, for instance), even if I think they did this deliberately, to transfer the spotlight on other advantages. Highly customizable, but not that personal.

PROS: It will sound funny, but I am indeed an online-store cart maniac, I went almost through every tool there is on the market to find something loads fast and creates stores efficiently. You can install it on your own server, share a server, or pick the cloud-based type, none of them will be a mistake. It is a Web 2.0 solution, painless to install, and much more modern than its competitors, and that was only one of my requirements. I wanted it to be mobile-friendly (the basic theme looks really professional and it is absolutely responsive), to have a well-executed SEO (products will rank incredibly high on Google after only 2 months), and to be backed by an amazing user community that provides customization solutions. PrestaShop had all of this, and it even surprised me with a large set of fast-running themes. If you want a tool to work your way, you got it!
CONS: There will be no blogging experience, at least not without buying a particular and expensive module. Even if you do, don't expect the WordPress feeling, doesn't work that way. I mind that it is impossible to install it without HTML knowledge, I had to become an instructor around here to explain tech-savvy people how to use it. Not that international either, since it works with a restricted number of payment methods. Finally, they ask for short product descriptions only, and while vendors can't wait to skip the explanatory part, I am an old-school buyer who still wants to see interesting and catchy product stories.

PROS: With Prestashop, you don't need to think. Everything is served and organized for you, so it won't take to be the best designer in the world to create an amazing profit-delivering shop. Note that the app has a pro-reputation from before, supposedly requiring advanced knowledge in developing, but today's version of it is something completely different. They understood their ecosystem and dealt with it, and the result is a bunch of great market solutions.
CONS: The software is awesome, I have nothing to complain about. Obviously, they had harsh development issues before, but those stayed in the past. One thing you should have in mind is that you'll most likely need to buy add-ons. The free version is not that robust, still...depends on how you are about to use the platform.

PROS: One doesn't get to work in simple software which, by the way, happens to have all the features he/she needs. That's really rare generally on the market, not only in the ecommerce world. That's how I came to the conclusion that discovering PrestaShop is a lifetime decision for my business, balancing elegantly between intuitiveness and functionality. Even if you don't find it good enough, you can customize it and add all sorts of solutions (house-developed too!) to make it perfect. That's really easy to do.
CONS: I think their support is fairly expensive-at the end of the day, they’re only helping you with technical stuff, they're not reinventing the wheel!
Robust platform in terms of features, but I am not really satisified with documentation and the Joomla-like dull design

PROS: Don’t worry about installation at all, there is a detailed command line to guide you through. I'd bring up the issue of admin handiness, since the tool is chic and organized to my taste, and provides me with enough flexibility to modify things my way. Security is guaranteed, incredibly flexible too. APIs are so good that you get to integrate it with almost every system. I like it so much!
CONS: There are tricky parts in the interface, not dysfunctional per se, but a bit too bright to look at. The tool doesn’t document everything, that's a bit of a problem, especially because there is a huge data scheme where table's names have nothing to do with their actual content. This being said, locating information will make you sweat. I'm also worried about implementation issues-if you're a beginner, do some serious mvc research.

PROS: My biggest concern was coding, and I'm therefore happy to use this simple platform. Besides coding, I am pleased with their support and the constant improvement. I recommend it to everybody who wants to start an online business from scratch, since it doesn't require almost any financial contribution, and works on cloud without downloading or instalation issues. I don't even need to discuss hosting options, the tool is so popular that you'll find hundredths of them.
CONS: Prestashop is not really meant to satisfy the market outside the US, International shops may go through some EU law compliance issues, so check this before you start. One could consider this as a drawback, but I honestly think adaptation is a matter of time. Massive updates and importations take more time than expected, even if that depends on the module you're using.
