What is QuickBooks GoPayment?

QuickBooks GoPayment is an on-the-go credit card, cash, and check payment processing solution. Users can either swipe the credit card using the proprietary QuickBooks Chip & Magstripe Reader or the details can be keyed in on the accompanying iOS or Android app.

With QuickBooks GoPayment, merchants can rest assured that their customers are aware of their dues. That is because the application can be utilized to send invoices. Plus, businesses can easily track whether the recipients have received and viewed the notices.

Also, QuickBooks GoPayment synchronizes with QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop. This makes reconciliation of invoices and payments more seamless, allowing merchants to match records faster and with fewer errors.

Overview of QuickBooks GoPayment Benefits

Multiple Payment Methods

The QuickBooks GoPayment subscription does not automatically provide merchants with a card reader. Nevertheless, they can still process cash, card, and check payments on the go with the help of the solution’s iOS or Android app. Users simply need to key in the details of the transaction and for the buyers to authorize the charging of their cards with their digital signature.

And if merchants decide to acquire the proprietary card reader, they can just swipe the card and ask their customers to sign on the smartphone or tablet to authorize the sale.

Smart Invoicing

With QuickBooks GoPayment, businesses can make sure their customers are reminded of their dues. Aside from processing payments, the solution can be employed to send personalized payment reminders and invoices. Additionally, the application can track whether the recipients have checked and seen their emailed balances.

Easy Reconciliation

Reconciling invoices and payments with QuickBooks GoPayment is a seamless process. The application keeps track of where payments are coming from and match them with invoice records. This makes certain that books are less prone to errors and ensures that accounts are healthy.

Low-Cost Processing Fees

QuickBooks GoPayment is a cost-effective solution as it has low-cost processing fees, a minimal monthly payment, and a pay-as-you-go option. These are beneficial to businesses, especially those who are only small or are just starting out, as they can keep more of their charges rather than spend a lot on bank transfers and card processing payments.

QuickBooks Integration

QuickBooks GoPayment integrates with the Online and Desktop versions of Intuit QuickBooks. This helps resolve issues with invoices and payments and ensures that all accounts are matched correctly. With this, the back office is aware of all the transactions that happen on-the-go.

Overview of QuickBooks GoPayment Features

  • Invoicing
  • Invoices Tracking
  • Personalized Payment Reminders
  • Bank Transfers
  • Cash & Check Payments Processing
  • Credit Card Processing
  • Invoice & Payment Matching
  • Signature Capture
  • QuickBooks Sync

Companies have different needs and requirements and no software solution can be perfect in such a situation. The wise thing to do would be to modify the system for your specific wants, staff member skill levels, budget, and other factors. For these reasons, do not rush and pay for well-publicized trendy applications. Though these may be widely used, they may not be the ideal fit for your particular requirements. Do your research, investigate each short-listed platform in detail, read a few QuickBooks GoPayment Mobile Payment Systems reviews, speak to the vendor for clarifications, and finally select the app that offers what you want.

PROS: Secure payment card processing. However customer service is terrible. People are nice, but clueless and have zero visibility to other systems, and zero empowerment to make decisions.

CONS: Customer service could not find my account. It was incorrectly created with a different name. The fees are high for small businesses with low volume. When I processed my cancellation, I was still charged for 2 months of fees. I had to call 3 times to get the first month of fees refunded. I was told to call back later to get the 2nd month. When I called today, I was transferred 3 times, and spent 30 minutes on the phone to ultimately be told that my account was closed 4 years ago (incorrect). The time that I spent trying to get the fee refunded is actually 3 times the amount of the fee. The internal processes and teams needs to be connected to provide seamless customer service. Until then, this is not a viable product for small business.
