TheraNest Review

PROS: What I appreciate most about this platform is it gives therapists a chance to create a stable work framework to ensure that their practice is smooth sailing at all times. The way TheraNest has structured it that it simplifies each aspect of the practice from scheduling, billing of clients, providing treatment recommendations, and making follow-ups. TheraNest serves a lot of purpose in the practice that is why we take pride and value in this platform.

CONS: There is nothing to hate or dislike about the product, it has been tried and tested for years. The only thing that they need to work on is their reporting feature. I’m sometimes having issues in downloading massive files which I still need to export. I hope that they could address this issue before the year ends.

PROS: I can schedule appointments even when I’m at home or out of the office. I don’t bring my laptop all the time, but I’m thankful that I can use the mobile app instead. I even do counseling sessions through video calls, which many clients appreciate.

CONS: It would be nice if the company behind TheraNest can work on adding some useful features to the app. Adding a specific location or therapy room on the app can be integrated so clients can directly proceed to the room. Also, they should work on the usual complaints like failure to remind us of appointments, missing logs, and so on. They should focus on improving the mobile platform because the majority of end-users find this more convenient.

PROS: The software is so advanced and practical; that is why we chose to use it for our daily work. I am happy that I’m able to use TheraNest on various devices. I can schedule remote therapy sessions. Many of my patients find it useful, especially with the ongoing pandemic where most people cannot leave their homes.

CONS: I think that the billing details of the patient should be hidden deep within their files and not shown on the first page. Whatever debt they owe, it should be settled in cash or by their insurance company; these details should not be seen right away. I feel uncomfortable treating patients when I see an outstanding balance showing on top of their records. I raised this issue to customer service, and they told me that they’re currently looking into it. So I’m hoping to hear some positive feedback in a couple of weeks or so.

PROS: The scheduling system works wonders, and I can say that there would never be an app that can surpass the performance of TheraNest. The templates are essential in making a fast and accurate diagnosis of each client. There is a feature where the therapist can leave detailed notes regarding the condition of his/her client. This platform is something that most clinics need to keep their practice well organized.

CONS: The platform is pretty much perfect for my opinion. I've been using it for almost a year already, and so far it has not failed my expectations.

PROS: If you would like to go paperless, then TheraNest is an ideal tool for your practice. You can easily book a client schedule and upload your case progress using one single platform. You can also provide training to your staff and colleagues so everyone can use the safe platform and maximize its features at the same time. The customer service team is fantastic because they’re always there to help out.

CONS: I use the app on both my computer and cellphone, and I'm quite disappointed. There's a vast difference between these two versions, especially the mobile app. Some functions are quite limited such as client scheduling and uploading notes. It works well on laptops and desktop computers, so it's more suitable for an office setting. I hope that they can work on upgrading the mobile app so therapists can still work while on the go.

PROS: The app itself is abundant in features that make it worth paying for. You can find several sets of online tests, invoicing tools, insurance forms, and patient forms. Manually doing things take so much work time while TheraNest guarantees to cut your workload into as much as fifty percent.

CONS: We were hoping that they could extend their free trial period to 30 days to give us ample time to learn more about what TheraNest can bring to the table.

PROS: TheraNest is a fusion of different applications. It helps you manage client database, invoicing, insurance issues, plus appointment setting. It allows you to keep in touch with your clients no matter where you are located.

CONS: This app is something that we need for our organization, but you need to be extra patient. The learning curve takes time because not everyone can learn things overnight. What we did is we assigned someone to train other staff members and allow them to have hands-on experience for them to become more comfortable. We sometimes encounter system glitches, but their IT team does something about it, so I don’t worry too much.

CONS: The scheduling calendar has its pros and cons. There are times that it won’t allow you to book continuous appointments. You would need to find a way to make sure that everything is encoded into the system at the end of each working day. It took me some time to feel comfortable with the platform. Still, I can say that once you’re familiar with the features, you will appreciate TheraNest and the things that it does to your practice.

PROS: I pretty much learned everything about TheraNest in less than 24 hours. Also, I was able to learn some tips from several online training sessions. It feels good to be using this app, especially now that we're starting to promote a paperless office.

CONS: Unfortunately, since TheraNest is a shared platform, there is a possibility that your colleagues can access your patient files which should not be the case. I'm hoping that they can restrict data açcess, so you don't have to worry about your client records being shared, downloaded, or printed.

PROS: Very user-friendly interface. Easy to navigate that makes it fun to use. I like how the platform is structured because it allows me to add notes, attach documents and schedule therapy sessions in a single tool. I enjoy the other features because it makes things more efficient in the office.

CONS: There are some features that I find confusing and redundant. One example is the ledger which we never use at all. I prefer clicking on the patient profile so I can add my notations which is easier to find and sort out.

PROS: The app itself is so functional because I can schedule therapy sessions on my computer or using my smartphone. It is now easier to send client invoices and process billing disputes with healthcare companies. I love the way TheraNest takes good care of patient records; that is why I am confident that I have all the things that I need in one platform.

CONS: I think that TheraNest needs to wok on some of its security features. I experienced getting a message that there is a possibility that some files can be deleted during the integration process. That is why I always make sure to double-check other apps before I start syncing them with each other. I don’t want to mess up the system, so I had to get in touch with customer service to help me fix the issue. However, I like using TheraNest because I can reach out to my clients anytime without the need to give out my mobile number.

PROS: Running a practice has never been this easy and convenient, and I have to thank TheraNest for that. It’s so easy to use the app and schedule therapy sessions with clients. I don’t need to use other apps to take charge of my invoices and insurance claims because TheraNest takes care of them.

CONS: I am currently adjusting to the platform because I used to do things manually. From scheduling, notations to taking client histories, I do everything using a pen and paper. There are instances wherein I don’t leave notes because I forgot to do so. I’m hoping that I’ll get the hang of things soon.

PROS: The app is very impressive, in my opinion, because it's easy to use, and its features are awesome. One of the primary advantages of using TheraNest is providing sessions using digital communication or video calls. Not all apps are capable of doing this, so I guess I'm lucky to have TheraNest in the workplace.

CONS: They should work on their online statements of accounts. It takes longer to download them at times, and it’s complicated to understand the breakdown of the charges.

PROS: That you pay per client rather than per clinician. We have full-time, part-time, and part-part time staff so it doesn't make sense to pay per staff member.

CONS: Everything is a bit clunky... I wish calendar/appt/notes were all linked so that I didn't have to go to different tabs for different things. sometimes hard to find the treatment plan unless you are in a note. group notes very clunky and for some reason groups don't show up on your calendar on the phone app. If you do a group note, all group member's names show up on the doc (hippa problem if required to send someone's notes for one client) If you have personal appts, you can't edit them on your phone b/c they are not attached to a client. editing recurring appts is difficult and you have to be on the main website. finally- no way to create forms using fields.... This was one of the main reasons I wanted computer software. By maintaining dates and creating tx plans, I was hoping I could create a template that automatically filled in the relevant information for a Monthly Treatment report (dates of service, if they missed/kept/no show/late cancel).... treatment goals, and demo infor. When I do run reports, the full name comes up in one field making it difficult to sort by last name; does not give "reason" when appt. not kept even though there is a field for it. If we are trying to run staff reports on productivity and income they bring to clinic, the report sends the group income to the individual treatment provider rather than the group facilitator. if you have contracts and collaterals you are required to consult with (e.g. probation officers), you just have to put them as an "other" collateral. so more difficult to track contacts.
