VEGAS Pro Review

PROS: For me, it would be its user-friendly user interface. So whether you are a novice or an experienced video editor, you sure would get a hang of the software in no time. Apart from ease of use, this tool also offers a plethora of incredible features that you can use to create professional-looking videos. Lastly, it does not need any specialized hardware and runs on most of the standard Windows PC.

CONS: When I edit 4K videos and render the final video using the low rate frame, the output looks pixillated. I can solve it by choosing a high rate frame instead but it consumes much of my hard disc space.

PROS: I love how this product makes the process of video editing more streamlined. It may not be as robust as some of the known and best video editing platforms but it functions as it is supposed to.

CONS: It is missing huge scale operational function that is offered by other software such as the ability to link files as well as ease of connection. It is also not as seamless as I expect it to be. But it isn't bad either.

PROS: It's a great tool to use to start practicing your video editing skills. When I first enter the field of video editing, I was quite overwhelmed by most video editors I tried such as Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro as well as AVID Media Composer. VEGAS Pro was the one that provides me a platform to learn how to edit and practice my skills. It's simplicity basically made things easier to do. So if you need better access to the configuration of the video formats or your project requires more audio or video plugins and other assets, this solution is not the option because it doesn't have those and other things.

PROS: What I love the most about this program is the great library of visual effects available. It's significant in achieving quality videos.

CONS: There are times when the app is a bit slow. Also, I have issues when exporting the final output. The process just takes too much time!

PROS: What I love the most about this software are its very intuitive interface and the cool layout. It's somehow similar to Windows Movie Maker so if you have already used the said platform, you sure will find your way around the solution in no time. It's a pretty good tool to use when doing basic editing.

CONS: Although this platform is not as complex as other professional video editing tools, it's not very easy to learn. You may have to spend some time figuring out how the features work and eventually master the platform.

PROS: What I love the most about this program is its simplicity. In fact, it's the simplest video editor I have ever tried.

CONS: Only the problem with the file source option. I cannot find the video whenever I move the file from the folder, Other than that, everything is good. I am using this tool to edit videos for fun and work and I'm pretty satisfied with its performance. It has everything I need.

PROS: First, VEGAS Pro is way easier to learn for novices than some of the popular video editors like Adobe Premiere Pro. Second, its interface configuration is pretty flexible. I love the ability to customize it. I am able to remove the features I don't need like the window trimmer so the space within the platform has expanded. Third, it works with various video formats and let users work with as much as video as well as the audio track they (we) need. Fourth, I can separate, replace, delete, or combine audio files and change volume levels with ease. In relation to this, this video editor can also record audio directly which eliminates the need for a separate recording app (but you can still have one if you want). Fifth, there's a feature for capturing videos and photos. And lets you have them in high resolution. Acceleration, as well as a deceleration of the video, is also pretty easy. Sixt, there's a wide array of assets available. There are many effects as well as transitions to choose from. You can create titles for your videos or put a watermark on it. Lastly, it ensures quality output. You can save your final video in high quality and the format of your choice.

CONS: It is quite expensive and the interface isn't user-friendly. Also, the app occasionally crashes. There are unknown errors and they usually take time to be fixed, which is a bit disappointing.

PROS: Among the things I love to do whenever I take a break from work and writing articles are playing video games and hanging out with friends. Usually, interesting and happy moments happen. Not so long ago, I decided to record those moments and edit them using this tool. It's generally great. It has an intuitive layout and everything is easy to access. And the final output can be converted in various formats.

CONS: I don't like it's pricing policy, pretty expensive. The effects and other features are good for beginners' use but I don't think they would be sufficient for professional use.

PROS: VEGAS Pro is a simple but terrific video editing tool with easy to use functions. I had a great time using this tool. It does not have a steep learning curve and the transitions and effects are amazing. I also love its interface. I also appreciate the ability to change over the audio to the video and add texts.

CONS: The functions available in this app are quite basic. So if you need to do a more advanced video editing or looking for “complex” effects or unique transition, VEGAS pro may not be the tool for you. Also, I don’t like the rendering system.

PROS: It has a nice layout, is very easy to use, and has amazing effects as well as rendering presets. Overall, VEGAS Pro is an incredible video editing software. Been using this for years now and will definitely continue using it for the years to come.

CONS: Older versions do not support new codecs and modern formats. Although I can understand this considering the version is already old, I just cannot help feeling disappointed.

PROS: It is very versatile. I use it not just for editing videos but also editing audio. It also offers a broad range of effects to choose from. On top of that, you'll never run out of new things to discover and learn. And if you are a new user, there are lots of resources available that can help you get started. There are online supports and type up guides. I still use them whenever I get stuck into something and they're still helpful.

CONS: There is a vast amount of functions and features and they can be quite intimidating at first. But through time, you'll just grow more comfortable with them. Aside from that, expect the app to be clunky at times. By the way, if you're just starting it would help if you customize the app and keep only the tools you think you can use.

PROS: I'm a loyal VEGAS product user for a decade and a half now and never been disappointed with it. I always find what I need. It's also simple to use, which I really like. And unlike other video editing tools, this one does not bog down my OS. I also find its keyboard command functions better than most of the video editing software I've used before.

CONS: Integration with some of the 3rd party effects solutions such as Boris is a bit clunky. Aside from that, there's a learning curve. It took me a while to get a hang of the product. But it's not as hard to learn as what other users claim. The style of editing is similar to Final Cut and Premiere. Lastly, in order to be most effective, you will need some screen space. But I think it's common in most video editing tools.

PROS: This tool actually offers many great things including but not limited to the ff: First, it has powerful tools like video and image stabilization, white balance, motion tracking, Chroma key, stereoscopic 3D editing, masking, as well as multi-ca editing. The tools it provides are good enough to create professional-looking videos. Second, its toolset is ever-expanding, making this tool a good option for professional video editors who are looking for granular control as well as the power required to create high-quality videos that the audience demands. Third, it is a great tool for compositing, 3D tilting as well as creating special visual effects. I am even able to author Blu-ray discs as well as DVDs. Lastly, it follows a Proxy-first workflow and has built-in interactive tutorials that show you what you need to know and learn about the tool.

CONS: You need to pay a hefty price to be able to use the tool. It costs about $600 which is by far one of the priciest video editing software I know of.

And if you need to do in-depth editing, this tool also has you covered. It has tools for that process. For instance, I am able to add intricate structures as well as timelines to my production edits.

CONS: It's already good but I think there's still room for improvement. It would be nice if it has all the bells and whistles with animation, compositing, and digital visual effects. There are some additional tools and add-ons but they come with additional fees.

CONS: It is not compatible with some of the third party applications and does not integrate well with BMD DaVinci Resolve which is a color correction that is becoming the standard for online video editing.

PROS: Vegas Pro is both lightweight and fast in comparison to other film editing software available in the market today. Templates are available for both paid and free versions of the app. There are also lots of tutorials that will help you get started. Anyway, I’ve already switched to Filmora 9 but it’s not because Vegas Pro is not good. I had an amazing experience using the software and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a video editing tool. It’s just that it does not meet my needs right now. I need more templates, effects, as well as titles options. And Filmora 9 has them. But it’s heavier and slower compared to Vegas Pro.

CONS: I find Vegas Pro’s settings, as well as navigation, just too advanced for me.
