Wix Review

PROS: It's really that simple! I've accomplished making my own customized layout and created a site from scratch. But it can take up a lot of time. Do yourself a favor and get Wix instead.

I instantly became a fan of its graphic properties, the multitude of stunningly modern templates, and the friendly interface. Adding links and buttons is drag-and-drop based, and there are separate tables for colors, patterns, or styles. It really doesn't take to be an expert to use it, but there is a detailed tutorial just in case.

I guess it is because its editor needs a lot of resources to respond, and because there are multiple features that perform more than one option. I even think there are plenty of functionalities that serve no purpose, but they are still there occupying space, and slowing the entire program down.

Well, ladies and gentlemen, that’s not the case of Wix: Wix is one of your most amazing options to create a professional website or an app, and to enrich it with modern features, maps, polls, and so on. It is very easy to use, doesn't cost anything, and provides enough features to make the website work. Besides, it is very well integrated with social media, that's really important for our business.

CONS: The program has user control issues, in the sense that you don't get the chance to grant more than one person with an admin position, and you can't work in a team. I already addressed the question to their Management and Support team, and I am waiting to see whether something can actually be done about it.

They do offer the option to include your Google Analytics tracking code in the form of a standalone field. But Wix isn't something you'd go for if you have any intention in adding a third party script directly to the header. While you could include Google Analytics, it's impossible to include code from an agent operating our Google Adwords campaign.

PROS: Wix doesn’t only provide for the creation of websites-it teaches you how to master the skill and to make your online presence memorable! You add someextra professionalism to your mission by providing the most pleasant experience to your customers, and that's a big deal for a person who doesn;t do web desing at all, and has never been involved in it. I feel proud of myself, and proud of this program!

CONS: I understand that they’re trying to make the most of their popularity, but pricing is very inconsistent. I feel upset by the fact that I pay $99 for my package, receiving a promotional offer of $50 just few days after. They were much more helpful before they received money, and that doesn't speak too loud about their professionalism. Another thing I'd like you to take into acoount is losing bandwidth, expect you computer to slow down after installing it.

PROS: Lovable and easy interface, above everything else. If you're not in the branch, or simply not in the mood, you don't like being overwhelmed by technical details, and I see that Wix people really know that. Discovering Wix was like being asked what type of website I need, especially when I found out that I get to modify and manipulate items with nothing but few clicks. They even provide a SEO plug in which you can use to add relevant keywords to your pages. I couldn't even ask for more!

CONS: I'd appreciate a larger collection of stock images and templates, yes, that would be really, really good!

The freedom and degree of customization Wix has to offer can hardly be found on another platform, not even the ones you pay for. There is also a large number of apps and addons you can add on the website, which confirms that you can really release imagination and let it take over your website. Custom HTMLs can also be inserted on every page, that's so cool!

CONS: Not that many problems, but I stumble quite often on them: firstly, the implication of having a free URL-you get to use it, but instead of the name of the site, what you get is your username, and that's not half as memorable as the first one would be. Fair enough if people are using links and social media buttons to locate you, but what if they looked for you on Google, let's say? Secondly, loading times are not enviable. I like the graphics, and the amount of templates available, but they are really slowing it down.

I hate adware in general (mostly competitors' ads), but I think even those are better than having your own platform advertising on your site. It is so annoying!

Personally, I am a frustrated user that dealt with tones of unsatisfactory products, and blew them away one by one because they were either too expensive or too complicated. Wix, on the other hand, packs everything under a single roof, and I never have to worry whether my professional ideas are going to turn into reality. Whatever comes to your mind, Wix can do it! End of discussion!

PROS: I have a 20 years of web design experience behind me, and I'm quite familiar with all struggles this profession can create: to start with, you’re never done learning, and there is always a popular trend to chase believing that you're missing something. At a certain point, I didn't even feel a part of the design world, I was completely lost in the things I didn't know. And then...Wix appeared! I couldn't believe how easy it was to use it, and I'm still not revealing that to my clients. They receive awesome quality via a platform that is well-integrated with social media feeds, reservation systems, email services, etc. I feel much readier to do my job, and I am offering a lot of services I couldn't even think of offering before.

CONS: The program responded to all of my expectation,I have nothing to complain about. Actually, I would probably like an improved integration with icontacts and mailchimp, because I have many clients who are using them. This way I have to insert all contacts manually, and I always make a mess.

The builder is generally free, and I think the templates are solid, but you can also pay for a higher package, in case you need something more advanced. Both cases are good.

CONS: The free package doesn’t contain the best features, so don’t expect miracles.Templates and integration are limited, and you don’t have access to SEO management and wix advertising. I think this is a pity, because these are the most popular options Wix can offer, and I hope they will become free in future.
