A2X Review

PROS: Saves time by automatically grabbing all the sales data from numerous different online marketplaces and places them in xero

CONS: first time setting up, grabbing previous months worth of sales was a little complicated, had to seek customer support for help

PROS: I recommend this app for anyone who wants to automate their accounting workflows. I use A2X for both my Amazon and Shopify sales transactions. It's been running in the background for over a year now without any issues.

CONS: It would be nice if I could update my COG's in A2X and the app would automatically refresh the data in QB's without manually deleting entries and manually refreshing. But this is only a minor inconvenience and probably more of a limitation on QB's integration rules.

PROS: Its ease of use and how much bookkeeping time it saves.

CONS: I had a small hiccup setting up the multi-country aspects of the software, but customer support fixed my issue almost immediately.

PROS: Saves me so much processing time for our website and Amazon sales! Also the support is fantastic - I was struggling with the mapping for Amazon but was offered a 1-2-1 training course to help sort it all out.

CONS: The mapping for Amazon was very time consuming but also worth it to get it right!

PROS: A2X support has been very helpful in connecting our Shopify stores to Xero. The process is smooth and if there's ever an issue, which has been rare, the support is fast. Thank you!

CONS: This is not a dislike, but rather a feature request. It would be great if we could manually set the fees within A2X for non-standard payment gateways and feed those expected costs into Xero.

PROS: It saves e-commerce businesses time and money by enabling them to get their accounting records up to date more accurately and timely than they would be able to achieve through manual bookkkeeping.

CONS: None, it's a fantastic product

PROS: A2X integrates with Xero and is the perfect solution to streamlining and automating my accounting entries instead of downloading and processing excel reports.

CONS: A feature to track inventory outside of Amazon

PROS: The best things about A2X is their ease of use and relaibility.

CONS: The interpretation of payouts can be improved a little.

PROS: Quick and easy to link to different sales channels and accounting software. We were impressed with how easy it was to link and it required minimal technical knowledge and was an easy plug and play solution.

CONS: You sometimes have to map certain tax codes from sales channels to xero and it can be a bit user-unfriendly but apart from that it is brillaint.

PROS: t is an incredible application that assists us with bookkeeping. It additionally functions admirably with Xero.

CONS: It very well may be difficult to do the expense planning without a bookkeeper. Thus, it restricted our choices.

PROS: A2X was exactly the solution I was looking for. Simple to set up and accurate, detailed daily transactions imported into Xero ready to post with raw data. It is great for integrating for Shopify sales.

CONS: May be difficult to set up without accountant assistance

PROS: Its a very simple product that does one job very well.

CONS: I didn't find anything problematic- it worked really well.

PROS: Easy to integrate with selling platforms as well as my accounting software

CONS: Need to regenerate API integrations every now and then

PROS: It simplifies complex accounting processes and therefore saves precious time and money!

CONS: Its pretty smooth as far as I can see

PROS: Set and forget, once I set it up it was easy to use to allow me to take managed payments from ebay

CONS: The initial set up can be confusing as it’s all different accounts but it makes it easy

PROS: The seamless integration from my Amazon store into Xero

CONS: When you first set up all the accounts, a little tricky if you don't know what you are doing (I am by no means an accountant)

PROS: Setting up my account was simple and easily simplified my weekly accounting tasks. Setting a couple rules in a2x + xero means that all my orders (1-time & subscription) and refunds for Shopify stores are automatically tracked and logged for my biz's book keeping appropriately. Honestly perplexed how this isn't native to Xero's offering.

CONS: When my banking/xero changed, I needed to re-set up a2x.

PROS: We sell on Amazon in multiple currencies across North America, Europe, and Australia, and A2X allows us to bridge the gap with Quickbooks and have everything agree with journal entries that match up nicely. It's been a great tool for us.

CONS: It does require some setup to understand what you are sending to which accounts in Quickbooks, but the default setups they supply really helps.

PROS: Ease of Use and Customer Support - E-commerce Accounting, without the fuss

CONS: Nothing - Truly an awesome tool!

PROS: A2X is a must-have for eCommerce sellers. It's super easy to setup and forget about. 10 minutes a month is all you need for your eCommerce accounting with A2X.

CONS: Premium support for set up should be available on all plans, not only the most expensive ones.

PROS: Straightforward installation and integrates perfectly with Shopify-Xero accounts. Exports Shopify sales data seamlessly, and once tax settings set up has been mapped, sending the data to Xero is just a click of a button away and straightforward reconciliation with Shopify payouts/bank statement lines is effortless.

CONS: Only recently noticed it had a product cost function and could calculate COGS for sales. Not sure though if this data imports into Xero when a transfer is done though. If it does, great; if not, room for improvement!

PROS: I can set up our tax settings in one go and then leave the software to automatically run and then post to xero, saving time and money on extra staff.

CONS: Takes time to setup

PROS: Happy with A2X, it makes bookkeeping way easier between your Shopify, Amazon and more by importing automatically all transactions, already categorized perfectly. Saves hundreds of hours of bookkeeping per year! Recommended!

CONS: When you add too many accounts, it can get pricey but it still worth the time saving.

PROS: A2X is an amazingly accurate software. I use it for my amazon account and it\'s a lifesaver. I\'ve used other software before that wasn\'t nearly as accurate. Amazon is becoming a margin game so having extremely accurate information is so important.

CONS: Not sure yet. It\'s all been very smooth.

PROS: Such a good app - been using it for the past few months and it saves me an unbelievable amount of time and energy. All it takes is a few clicks to take care of everything on the accounting side. Probably the best subscription service I use in terms of value for money.

CONS: Nothing that I can think of!

PROS: It makes bringing over all our transactions from other places into Xero seamlessly meaning we can easily reconcile all our transactions for tax purposes and book keeping.

CONS: It just works, there is no problematic aspect.

PROS: A2X saves you time from manually reconciling settlements.

CONS: To be able to cross reference payouts/invoices more easily from Xero

PROS: Summarizes Shopify transactions to tie to the bank exactly.....Allow for the tracking of different collections from Shopify into QBO....once mapping is correct it can be set to auto load.

CONS: Some of the advance features are not as intuitive as the basic features but great customer service will get you set up.

PROS: Easy integration with the accounting software Xero.

CONS: Nothing to report at the moment. Struggled with set-up at the beginning but managed to do it in the end. But I will be in touch with A2X if something comes up.

PROS: Automation of Sales, COGS, and Inventory transactions for clients who have thousands of transactions daily or weekly. This saves countless hours on what would otherwise be an extremely manual process to record these transactions to the same level of accuracy. The Multi-Channel option makes using A2X a breeze as you can switch back and forth between Amazon, Shopify, and other client accounts. The integration with Xero is excellent and the software is relatively easy and intuitive to set up. I was able to set up the account without assistance by reading the help manuals. The support from A2X is also wonderful. I have always received prompt and helpful responses through webchat and email.

CONS: Reporting of units sold by SKU directly in Xero. It appears in the settings that this is possible so perhaps I haven't set this up accurately. I was able to get units sold to appear in the Xero files attachment but would prefer if there was a functionality to report units sold by SKU in Xero. With that said, this information is readily available in A2X.

PROS: A2X understands accounting and all the components that are needed for a proper integration. It enters a journal entry based on each deposit so you no longer need to match up hundreds of sales receipts to each deposit.

CONS: Haven't run into any yet.

PROS: Saves a lot of time. Fantastic customer support. User friendly

CONS: Integrating takes a bit of time setting up, but the customer support team are more than happy to assist

PROS: Product was super easy to set up and start receiving invoices into xero. Customer support is by far the best i have ever experienced no need to wait 24 - 48 hours for a response someone will email you back within the hour normally! There solutions are easy to follow and have always worked for me.

CONS: My book keeper found it slightly annoying that the invoices import into xero as drafts but it isnt really a major issue and not enough to put us off the product.

PROS: The automatic classification of payouts according to the initial setup. All future payouts will be automatically analysed correctly.

CONS: The initial setup can be quite time-consuming, but once that's done the workload is significantly reduced

PROS: It does what it should, accurately and without fuss!

CONS: It's complicated and needs a fair bit of setting up initially but when done with help from support you can leave it to do its stuff!

PROS: We use A2X for both Shopify and Amazon. Though the initial setup was not intuitive on the billing side, their customer support was solid and we ended up creating the two accounts we needed to get everything synced up. Works wonders.

CONS: Having two accounts is a bit strange at first. However, the integration works great.

PROS: Automation, correct mapping of transactions, eassy flow, easy way to revert transactions etc

CONS: I would love them to develop a COGS feature that could trace changes in cost, that way we could use average costing. But thats a suggestsion not a problem.

PROS: This software has made my accountant work easier. You have to find tutorials to set it up correctly, and depending the client's country the settings can be different. I haven't been able to make Stripe payouts match with what Stripe sends to my bank, I need to still learn more. So there is a learning curve, but it's very worth it.

CONS: The learning curve can be long, depending your country, sales tax laws, etc... Stripe and Paypal don't reconcile with my bank for me, Shopify reconcilesperfectly.

PROS: It is a product that connects other products on the backend. My primary goal was to find something that could connect and track my financials via my e-commerce store online (Shopify to QuickBooks Online). This is what it does. I changed all of the settings that were suggested and I was good to go and have not had an issue with it.

CONS: One of the sections still has an "!" mark on it, and I asked customer support if I had everything set correctly and they assured me I have, but it is annoying to see that orange '!' even though I don't need to do anything there.

PROS: A2X works great, I have peace of mind knowing that my financials are accurate. All data recording is automated making the whole accounting process much more efficient. Thank you A2X, your service is highly recommended!

CONS: As any new software, takes some time to get used to the new interphase. But after the set up phase is completed everything becomes easier and smooth.

PROS: Bank reconciliation. Contacts – Keep track of suppliers and customers. Dashboard. Expense claims. Files – Attach documents to your financial data. Financial reporting. Free, unlimited email support. Inventory.

CONS: All the current features are good.

PROS: Integrating all online sales has saved me hours of daily work and track our ecommerce sales better.

CONS: Wish they can be entered as invoices instead of journal entries

PROS: A2X is a great tool to save time and remove manual data entry.  Highly recommend!

CONS: Takes some time to figure out how it works

PROS: Easy to use, automated, correct transfer of data each time.

CONS: I have had no problems with any of the aspects of A2X.

PROS: A2X can easily make an extremely complicated system easy. Amazon used to be a headache, but now is no longer a diffiult struggle.

CONS: Onboarding seemed too short. I didn't know the questions I needed to ask at the time.

PROS: My client took over a business trading through Amazon and Shopify. Their bookkeeper was spending 4-6 hours p.w. reconciling the transactions. I have subscribed them to A2X and its all done automatically

CONS: It takes a bit of setting up, but I have never had so much support from an online service, with an agent holding my hand along the way.

PROS: Ease of use when it comes to accounting. This app is very efficient.

CONS: I don't dislike anything about A2X. I love this app.

PROS: It saves me the trouble of deciphering the complicated Amazon Sellers Statements. All amounts are automatically assigned to accounts once they are sent from A2X to QB.

CONS: All good with the software. I am a startup and don't have a lot of transactions so the cost is a little high for the amount of sales I have.

PROS: I highly recommend using the A2X app if you plan on using Intuit Quickbooks with your Shopify account. This is very helpful in providing a seamless transition in connecting the two accounts which creates much convenience in managing the finances of a small retail business.

CONS: I don't believe there are any problematic aspect that I experienced while using the A2X app. I found it to be very helpful in what I need to accomplish.

PROS: The automations it allows me to do have been critical for me to be able to scale my business without being slowed down by bookkeeping.

CONS: There is nothing problematic about the software so far.

PROS: A2X has helped me immensely with my small business and keeping track of all my sales from my eCommerce platforms. I would be totally lost without it!

CONS: I haven't found anything yet.

PROS: Great support and really does solve accounting integration with eBay, Amazon, PayPal and Shopify.

CONS: I did struggle with setup a bit but the support was really good and we got it sorted. I am in Australia though and we have unique tax laws here though so for most users it may be a lot easier.

PROS: My Amazon sales can be uploaded into Quickbooks. It also updates all the information needed. A great plus is their great customer service.

CONS: Pulling reports without having to generate requests in Amazon would be helpful.

PROS: It has provided a significant amount of scalability to our business. It saves me hours and hours of time each month. I highly recommend this product.

CONS: I do not have any complaints. This is a great product.

PROS: A2X seamlessly integrates into both QBO and Amazon Seller Central, making it very simple for me to account for all of Amazon's odd costs and revenue buckets without opening multiple Amazon spreadsheets.

CONS: No complaints. Whenever I have a need, customer service is quick to help.

PROS: So easy to use, I was trying to manage my finances using spreadsheets before and clearly failing at it. A2X made it simple, I would highly recommend.

CONS: Having to log in over and over again however it means that my data is safe.

PROS: Tried various other integrations, but none really worked that well. A2X has worked brilliantly with shopify & Xero integration.

CONS: Install/setup takes time, but best to get it right.

PROS: This was so easy to setup. And even if you have questions the customer service is amazing and respond very quickly.

CONS: I have no complaints so far. Everything has been great.

PROS: It can easily be integrated with Shopify and Quickbooks.

CONS: It's hard to bill in USD. We're an Australian company so this can be quite hard.

PROS: The staff at a2x were extremely helpful in getting the APP set up and it was done in no time. Then it is a quick review, a click, and all the details related to the deposit from Shopify or Amazon are entered in QBO in sufficient detail hitting all the right accounts. It saves tons of time and headache every time I use it for each deposit.

CONS: A breeze to us and if ever help is needed the staff is so friendly and helpful.

PROS: It makes dealing with the complexities of trading with Amazon as an FBA seller very easy.

CONS: It would be helpful if A2X could recognise the cost prices in Xero without us having to input them again

PROS: Ease of use Support it simply just works it can help you with your reconciliation problems of sales to merchant accounts/books

CONS: None

PROS: It is simple and easy to use. Good customer support is hard to find nowadays in this digital world but they are above par.

CONS: I just hope that the ending inventory costing report will be free in the subscription.

PROS: It set and forget. Once setup it populates Xero daily with the invoices from Shopify.

CONS: Took me a little time to get my head around the setup.

CONS: It was a bit of a learning curve to being with, some explainer videos could be beneficial.

PROS: It is a great application that helps us with accounting. It also works well with Xero.

CONS: It can be hard to do the tax mapping without an accountant. As a result, it limited our options.

PROS: A2X has been a savior so far. It syncs up perfectly with Seller Central and Xero to save me a lot of time accounting!

CONS: nothing so far, a little bit complicated setting up the taxation element though the A2X support was a great help.

PROS: The automation of A2X significantly reduces the need for various manual interventions. Saves time, and lets us concentrate on other things without having to remember to run reports and suchlike for our bookkeeping and accountancy.

CONS: The automations work fine, so we can’t think of anything else that needs changing.

PROS: The tools are very powerful, and the customer support is terrific. I contact them frequently and each time I get the help I need.

CONS: I wish onboarding included an hour or two with a customer service associate.

PROS: Such a time saver. I had to install this for tax and it saved me so many hours work. I use it weekly now.

CONS: Nothing problematic .

PROS: I really like how easy and seamless it is to transfer data from Amazon to QBO. The interface is nice to look at. The customer service is top tier. They really take the time to answer my questions and resolve my issues proficiently.

CONS: I have not encountered any significant issues with the software so far. It does what it needs to do, and does it well! The customer service team is also very easy to reach when I have difficulty understanding an aspect of A2X.

PROS: It’s great software backed by outstanding customer service, and really simplifies what is actually rather complex ecommerce accounting, particularly when you consider multiple payment gateways and VAT. If you need to link Shopify to Xero get A2X.

CONS: I haven't come across any downsides to this software since starting to use it in October 2020.

PROS: Easily understand transaction report that we receive bi-weekly from Amazon. Instead of having to scroll through hundreds or thousands of lines of sales and break down #'s, A2X does it seamlessly for us in the background and easily pushes that data to our accounting software, Xero. Understanding refunds/returns has been a challenge prior to implementing A2X.

CONS: Not much, the only challenge we had initially was having our Amazon account push V2 reports bi-weekly with our transaction settlement. The A2X support team helped us move from V1 to V2 within 24 hours and we're very pleased.

PROS: It simplified our bookkeeping in Amazon. It's a great tool that helped us save time.

CONS: There are times when the information we need is not brought directly to A2X.

PROS: The best aspect of this product is how easy it is to use and the amount of time saved! The service and support from the A2X team is second to none as well!

CONS: I can't say I've run into any problems with A2X - it's only been a massive help to our business! The mapping of accounts can be a little confusing but the fantastic customer service and help you get in order to complete it is second to none! So, no complaints at all here!

PROS: The detail is passes through to Xero is great! Get notified when a new payment can be pushed through, and one click push through to Xero

CONS: It's a little on the expensive side, but the automated billing is good as it dropped me to the lower subscription when my orders reduced for a month or two.

PROS: It takes a lot of work off of my plate and bookkeeping is now done in a matter of minutes

CONS: There are none that are problematic.

PROS: This is such a time saver, you won't realise how much you need it until you have it. It will pick up your payouts in shopify, allocate all the sales/shipping/shopify fees/refunds etc onto the right lines and send an invoice to your xero. You then just approve the invoices and click ok on the rec. SO EASY! I got this app right as I launched my store on the recommendation of a friend and i'm so glad I did. Rec'ing all those lines myself for every single payout would have been very boring and time consuming. The set up is mega easy, I did it in about 5 minutes flat. And the support team is super responsive. 100% worth the money if you want to spend as little time on Xero as possible while still having perfect accounts!

CONS: I had to do a bit of research on how to do the paypal and afterpay stuff but the help guide told me exactly what to do. they could point you to that on joining perhaps.

PROS: A2X provides more transaction detail resulting in fewer manual interventions in QBO.

CONS: We are still working to get PayPal transaction detail fully optimized.

PROS: With a click of a button all accounting books are up to date.

CONS: There should be an option of a default tax mapping depending on the country you are using it for.

PROS: Automates the transfer of shopify and amazon invoices into Xero, even from multiple marketplaces. Takes the aggro out of working out the correct tax for differing product types. Support always happy to help and quick to respond to questions.

CONS: Can be tricky to figure out what settings suit your business when setting up but support were excellent at helping me figure it out.

PROS: The software is always up to date. This helps us with our Shopify and Amazon accounting. Their support team is also very helpful whenever we don't understand anything.

CONS: Since things are done through journal entries, it can be hard to understand the platform readily.

PROS: I recommend this to other businesses. It is very easy to use after setting up everything.

CONS: It takes longer to set it up but it is very easy to use.

PROS: Accurate accounting, seamless integration with Xero, time saver and overall stress-reliever!

CONS: Expensive but worth it. Difficult to set up the tax mapping at the beginning without the help of an accountant. This limits early stage businesses that cannot invest to get setup right at the beginning.

PROS: Easily pull settlement financial data from Amazon and import it into QuickBooks Online. Granular by product and expense type as a clean organized Journal Entry

CONS: None really. It would be nice if A2X could request the reports from Amazon instead of requiring me to do so

PROS: A2X is the missing link when it comes to easily reconciling payouts from Amazon or Shopify.

CONS: Some functions feel a little cumbersome, it could use a more "user-friendly" vibe rather than a "backend" feel.

PROS: This software is a must for any Amazon seller. Highly recommended.

CONS: Setting up can take some time.

PROS: A2X simplifies the task for importing sales, returns, COGS and fees data from Amazon for each biweekly payment. It is easy to use, and provides a single dashboard for all imported data loads. It is a lot cheaper than hiring an accountant to perform the same task

CONS: A2X could do better handling of multi-currency payments: it was confusing to setup my Mexican Pesos payments from Amazon.mx alongside my USD payments from Amazon.com

PROS: The customer support is phenomenal. They will walk you through getting everything set up properly with your accounting software and answer any questions you have over video calls where you can screen share. Best service I’ve had. Shopify is very complicated to match orders to payouts and A2X makes it so much simpler.

CONS: There could be better support around using Shopify. But I’m not counting this against them because that really isn’t their software. It would just be above and beyond.

PROS: Makes recon a breeze - takes all of the hassles out of manually accounting Amazon sales

CONS: Not that I can tell. So far its been awesome. I would like COG's included in the cheaper packages, but I understand why it isn't

PROS: I love the ease this software provides breaking down my Amazon payout, especially how it splits when a payout overlaps two months. It will also take care of your COGS for each payout with the same ease of a simple click. Excellent software.

CONS: I have no issues with this product.
