CONS: Expensive but worth it. Difficult to set up the tax mapping at the beginning without the help of an accountant. This limits early stage businesses that cannot invest to get setup right at the beginning.

PROS: I recommend this app for anyone who wants to automate their accounting workflows. I use A2X for both my Amazon and Shopify sales transactions. It's been running in the background for over a year now without any issues.
CONS: It would be nice if I could update my COG's in A2X and the app would automatically refresh the data in QB's without manually deleting entries and manually refreshing. But this is only a minor inconvenience and probably more of a limitation on QB's integration rules.

PROS: Setting up my account was simple and easily simplified my weekly accounting tasks. Setting a couple rules in a2x + xero means that all my orders (1-time & subscription) and refunds for Shopify stores are automatically tracked and logged for my biz's book keeping appropriately. Honestly perplexed how this isn't native to Xero's offering.

PROS: We sell on Amazon in multiple currencies across North America, Europe, and Australia, and A2X allows us to bridge the gap with Quickbooks and have everything agree with journal entries that match up nicely. It's been a great tool for us.

PROS: Straightforward installation and integrates perfectly with Shopify-Xero accounts. Exports Shopify sales data seamlessly, and once tax settings set up has been mapped, sending the data to Xero is just a click of a button away and straightforward reconciliation with Shopify payouts/bank statement lines is effortless.
CONS: Only recently noticed it had a product cost function and could calculate COGS for sales. Not sure though if this data imports into Xero when a transfer is done though. If it does, great; if not, room for improvement!

PROS: Automation of Sales, COGS, and Inventory transactions for clients who have thousands of transactions daily or weekly. This saves countless hours on what would otherwise be an extremely manual process to record these transactions to the same level of accuracy. The Multi-Channel option makes using A2X a breeze as you can switch back and forth between Amazon, Shopify, and other client accounts. The integration with Xero is excellent and the software is relatively easy and intuitive to set up. I was able to set up the account without assistance by reading the help manuals. The support from A2X is also wonderful. I have always received prompt and helpful responses through webchat and email.
CONS: Reporting of units sold by SKU directly in Xero. It appears in the settings that this is possible so perhaps I haven't set this up accurately. I was able to get units sold to appear in the Xero files attachment but would prefer if there was a functionality to report units sold by SKU in Xero. With that said, this information is readily available in A2X.

Customer support is by far the best i have ever experienced no need to wait 24 - 48 hours for a response someone will email you back within the hour normally! There solutions are easy to follow and have always worked for me.
CONS: My book keeper found it slightly annoying that the invoices import into xero as drafts but it isnt really a major issue and not enough to put us off the product.

PROS: This software has made my accountant work easier. You have to find tutorials to set it up correctly, and depending the client's country the settings can be different. I haven't been able to make Stripe payouts match with what Stripe sends to my bank, I need to still learn more. So there is a learning curve, but it's very worth it.
CONS: The learning curve can be long, depending your country, sales tax laws, etc... Stripe and Paypal don't reconcile with my bank for me, Shopify reconcilesperfectly.

PROS: It is a product that connects other products on the backend. My primary goal was to find something that could connect and track my financials via my e-commerce store online (Shopify to QuickBooks Online). This is what it does. I changed all of the settings that were suggested and I was good to go and have not had an issue with it.
CONS: One of the sections still has an "!" mark on it, and I asked customer support if I had everything set correctly and they assured me I have, but it is annoying to see that orange '!' even though I don't need to do anything there.

PROS: I highly recommend using the A2X app if you plan on using Intuit Quickbooks with your Shopify account. This is very helpful in providing a seamless transition in connecting the two accounts which creates much convenience in managing the finances of a small retail business.
CONS: I don't believe there are any problematic aspect that I experienced while using the A2X app. I found it to be very helpful in what I need to accomplish.

PROS: Great support and really does solve accounting integration with eBay, Amazon, PayPal and Shopify.
CONS: I did struggle with setup a bit but the support was really good and we got it sorted. I am in Australia though and we have unique tax laws here though so for most users it may be a lot easier.

PROS: My Amazon sales can be uploaded into Quickbooks. It also updates all the information needed. A great plus is their great customer service.

PROS: The staff at a2x were extremely helpful in getting the APP set up and it was done in no time. Then it is a quick review, a click, and all the details related to the deposit from Shopify or Amazon are entered in QBO in sufficient detail hitting all the right accounts. It saves tons of time and headache every time I use it for each deposit.
CONS: A breeze to us and if ever help is needed the staff is so friendly and helpful.

PROS: I really like how easy and seamless it is to transfer data from Amazon to QBO. The interface is nice to look at. The customer service is top tier. They really take the time to answer my questions and resolve my issues proficiently.
CONS: I have not encountered any significant issues with the software so far. It does what it needs to do, and does it well! The customer service team is also very easy to reach when I have difficulty understanding an aspect of A2X.

PROS: It’s great software backed by outstanding customer service, and really simplifies what is actually rather complex ecommerce accounting, particularly when you consider multiple payment gateways and VAT. If you need to link Shopify to Xero get A2X.
CONS: I haven't come across any downsides to this software since starting to use it in October 2020.

PROS: Easily understand transaction report that we receive bi-weekly from Amazon. Instead of having to scroll through hundreds or thousands of lines of sales and break down #'s, A2X does it seamlessly for us in the background and easily pushes that data to our accounting software, Xero. Understanding refunds/returns has been a challenge prior to implementing A2X.
CONS: Not much, the only challenge we had initially was having our Amazon account push V2 reports bi-weekly with our transaction settlement. The A2X support team helped us move from V1 to V2 within 24 hours and we're very pleased.

PROS: This is such a time saver, you won't realise how much you need it until you have it. It will pick up your payouts in shopify, allocate all the sales/shipping/shopify fees/refunds etc onto the right lines and send an invoice to your xero. You then just approve the invoices and click ok on the rec. SO EASY! I got this app right as I launched my store on the recommendation of a friend and i'm so glad I did. Rec'ing all those lines myself for every single payout would have been very boring and time consuming. The set up is mega easy, I did it in about 5 minutes flat. And the support team is super responsive. 100% worth the money if you want to spend as little time on Xero as possible while still having perfect accounts!
CONS: I had to do a bit of research on how to do the paypal and afterpay stuff but the help guide told me exactly what to do. they could point you to that on joining perhaps.

PROS: Automates the transfer of shopify and amazon invoices into Xero, even from multiple marketplaces. Takes the aggro out of working out the correct tax for differing product types. Support always happy to help and quick to respond to questions.

PROS: A2X simplifies the task for importing sales, returns, COGS and fees data from Amazon for each biweekly payment. It is easy to use, and provides a single dashboard for all imported data loads. It is a lot cheaper than hiring an accountant to perform the same task
CONS: A2X could do better handling of multi-currency payments: it was confusing to setup my Mexican Pesos payments from Amazon.mx alongside my USD payments from Amazon.com

PROS: The customer support is phenomenal. They will walk you through getting everything set up properly with your accounting software and answer any questions you have over video calls where you can screen share. Best service I’ve had. Shopify is very complicated to match orders to payouts and A2X makes it so much simpler.
CONS: There could be better support around using Shopify. But I’m not counting this against them because that really isn’t their software. It would just be above and beyond.

PROS: I love the ease this software provides breaking down my Amazon payout, especially how it splits when a payout overlaps two months. It will also take care of your COGS for each payout with the same ease of a simple click. Excellent software.
