Buildertrend Review

PROS: In just one platform, we can plan our timetable for tasks, store contact details of our clients and subcontractors partners, keep track of bid requests, receipts, and review our structural blueprint. Amazingly, we could do all these and more in this one platform.

CONS: We wish it could be available even when offline. On timekeeping, for instance, we can't time-in real-time since the internet connection at the site is weak.

PROS: Buildertrend is a one-stop shop for management, communication, timekeeping, and finance.

CONS: It could be more flexible in customization.

PROS: I went through training for this platform for a few days and the trainer was very good in explaining everything about the platform. This is a user-friendly and a multi-functional software. Besides serving all your management needs from setting deadlines for project tasks to being a spacious storage for important documents, it also serves as a communication platform for clients and an attendance system for employees and contractors. Buildertrend also allows wide network sharing.

CONS: Although the platform is value for money, I still wish it could lower its monthly subscription fee. Or at least allow more users that can be on-board the $300 monthly package. I'm planning on hiring more but that would entail me paying on a per-person basis which is quite costly for an SME.

PROS: Buildertrend is our ultimate tool for business. One of its strongest points is ensuring transparency throughout every process from accepting bids up to completion. It allows everyone involved in the project to see how the project is costed and keep track of purchases and expenses. It also serves as a great manager for our employees. It stores their daily log records and reminds them of their upcoming tasks.

CONS: There is nothing negative I can think of but a more flexible cost structuring would be great.

PROS: Buildertrend is a great tool for crafting bid proposals, scheduling send invoices, collecting payments, timekeeping, conducting surveys, and expanding the customer base.

CONS: It would be better if it could integrate with QuickBooks.

PROS: Buildertrend is great but can improve further. That's why it's a big plus for me that they update their system from time to time. Its strong points for me is its easy integration with QuickBooks and very accommodating customer care team.

CONS: It takes a steep learning curve to get comfortable with Buildertrend. It cannot bill with the AIA format and generating comprehensive reports and invoices involves a tedious process.

PROS: The greatest benefits from using Buildertrend is you get to budget accurately which means zero losses from miscalculated purchases of materials. Its expense tracker also makes a great way to establish transparency. The timekeeping feature for employees and contractors also contributes to making a transparent work environment. Workers find very convenient that Buildertrend offers a portal where they can view their running hours and corresponding pay.

CONS: We used to have a problem on creating detailed POs. So what we would resort to was a long cut: create a PO using an external platform and attach it onto Buildertrend. The problem has already been resolved and we have Buildertrend's excellent customer care to thank for.

PROS: Buildertrend can serve construction businesses beginning with planning stage up to completion. Identifying leads and converting them into clients are also easy tasks with Buildertrend's analytics.

CONS: It takes quite a while to get used to it but once you're there, you will come to appreciate everything about the software.

PROS: Buildertrend streamlines coordination with clients, including sharing with them daily updates on the completion progress of buildings.

CONS: It is limited when it comes to customization.

PROS: Buildertrend has an interface that is very intuitive to use, making it easy to configure some components to make it more fitting to our operations. Indeed, Buildertrend is a great software for construction management. But on top of all these, Buildertrend's customer service care is top notch. Their representatives respond promptly and provide answers that effectively resolve our problems.

CONS: You can't edit an invoice once it's posted. So even if you want to modify a small part of it, you have no choice but to do a new invoice altogether.

PROS: With Buildertrend, we were able to take tasks forward in a more organized approach. On only one platform, we could communicate, reach out to customers, input our daily logs, and practically do 90% of our daily work on it.

CONS: There are challenges when putting people on-board the project. They usually are unable to access the project, let alone view it.

PROS: Buildertrend is the ultimate megaplatform that helps us manage and keep tabs on the progress of our projects. It's wonderful that we can communicate with our clients through this platform. It also serves as an HR manager, keeping our employees satisfied with the timekeeping feature which allows them to keep track of their hours, leaves, pays, and extra pays.

CONS: It can improve further by regularly offering system updates. Also, whenever there are updates, Buildertrend have minimal information on the new features and how to utilize them.

PROS: Buildertrend allows remote work and ensures efficiency in the work flow. It is rich with customization features which are important for any business. I also look forward to its system iterations which are increasingly becoming regular in the past few months. This goes to show that Buildertrend is gung-ho in improving the system.

CONS: We had issues with bugs and downtimes which fortunately have been fixed swiftly.

PROS: That the operations of our company heavily relies on this one key tool is superb. By heavily reliant, we mean we use Buildertrend beginning with tasks as basic as storing contacts to end-of-sale processes such as collection of payments.

CONS: We hope it could consider allowing search for tasks based on the dates they were added.
