What is Corecon?

Corecon Technologies offers a cloud-based construction platform for estimating, project management, job cost control, scheduling and collaboration. The solution includes executive dashboards which offer visibility into every facet of the project whether it is time sensitive tasks, documents or financials. Corecon was developed for general contractors, custom homebuilders, engineering and design/build firms. This cloud-based product requires no installs; it’s available anytime, anywhere with Internet access.

The main product in the company’s offering is Corecon v8. This browser-based suite of software includes modules for lead and project tracking, estimating, vendor bid management, contract administration, procurement, time tracking, correspondence, documentation and scheduling. Built-in wizards automate complex tasks such as transferring estimating information to create cost codes, contracts, budgets, POs and Subcontracts saving project management and accounting staff valuable time. As a result, Corecon’s technology makes all departments work more efficiently and maximize project profitability. Each module’s alerts and calendars can also ensure that nothing falls through the cracks.

Field staff that are on the go can utilize mobile apps for Android and iOS devices that are free to all subscribers. Information entered in the mobile apps such as daily logs, expenses, task updates, and timecards will immediately appear in Corecon V8. Thus, access to real time data is just a click away.

To integrate with one’s existing accounting system, CoreconLink utilities can transfer all project financials using a simple sync wizard which eliminates duplicate data entry and maintains consistency across the organization. CoreconLinks are available for Intuit QuickBooks, Sage 50 Canada, SAP Business One and Xero.

Since construction projects are usually a group effort, collaboration with internal and external project team members is key to success. Corecon’s TeamLink portal provides value to the overall platform. Subscribers can share lead and project information with their clients, architects, and vendors via this secure portal and it is free. So, unlimited logins can be sent to outside team members to access information on an as needed basis.

Lead and Project Dashboards

Improve your profitability and give your project team a solution they can trust. Job costing is a key component of optimal project management, as well as one of the main reasons construction businesses look for new systems. If you feel your systems fall short, then it’s time to access the premium resources Corecon brings to the table. Executive dashboards are available to quickly summarize and compare estimated and actual numbers by project, contract, and job cost code.

Professional Reporting

Numerous detail and log style report templates are available for each feature with output formats in Adobe Acrobat (PDF),Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, CSV, and HTML.This maintains consistency across the organization and improves communication so project teams can make informed decisions.

Estimates, RFP Packages and Proposals

Corecon’s comprehensive estimating module allows contractors to send Invitations To Bid (ITB), prepare 4-tier estimates, request and collect vendor pricing using RFP Packages, and generate professional proposals with a click of a button. Upon award, wizards are available to setup job cost codes, client contracts, budgets, POs, subcontracts, and a schedule, saving time for project management and accounting staff.

Contracts, Changes and Progress Invoices

Corecon’s contract administration features are flexible and powerful enough to meet the demands of any firm, no matter the size or type. Whether a contract is fixed lump sum, cost plus or unit price, Corecon’s billing wizards can automate the entire invoice process included retention tracking. When changes occur, the platform offers a Change Proposal Request (CPR) process that can be rolled up into a Change Order (CO) or Subcontract Change Order (SCO) for final approval.

Project Calendars and Scheduling

Corecon’s scheduling features make the process simple, encouraging staff to stay engaged and allowing you to keep close tabs on your timelines. Distributed project teams can effectively develop, manage, and collaborate on their project tasks from any location using a browser or mobile device. Tasks can be assigned to vendors, employees, and equipment, and task notifications can be emailed directly from within the schedule. Tools are available to import a schedule from Microsoft Excel and Project.
