DonorPerfect Review

PROS: DonorPerfect is an easy-to-use software, and my team loves how fast they could learn the functionalities available. We appreciate the on-time response and customer support every time we have concerns or queries.

CONS: We have created reports using DonorPerfect reporting tools, and a few of them were no longer available when we try to pull them out. Also, one could find it overwhelming to build new reports, especially when it is his/her first time.

PROS: We use DonorPerfect as a centralized location to store important data about our donors and keep our organization organized.

CONS: I am having trouble with duplicated data. For instance, the tool will create a new record of the donor when he/she sends gifts online and enters data that is a bit different than what we put on the existing file.

PROS: DonorPerfect’s customer support helps us through calls or online chats. The software allows you to generate reports and add them to the screen with a screen designer. Finding and pulling out reports is easy-peasy as well. If you have questions, you can go through the knowledgebase and find answers there quickly.

CONS: There’s a chance that you can’t create the report you need. I am quite worried when I need to work on calculation fields and call for help. The same thing goes when I need to export or import to do updates. Even if the DonorPerfect team is responsive enough, there are times that I can’t actually get the answer I need as they have to escalate them to the right people for answers.

PROS: I love that the software allows us to search for donations from the past. You may find this ability insignificant from the start, but you’ll appreciate it when you have to look for critical donor data in the future.

CONS: We find this tool quite intimidating at the initial use since it’s so intuitive. Understanding the features can be difficult.

PROS: DonorPerfect is a great solution to manage donor’s data, gifts, and others. Having the ability to use and access the software from any device is a good thing. The webinars, tutorials, and training videos are very helpful.

CONS: Running simple reports is easy with DonorPerfect, but I am having a hard time with complex reports. I am in doubt if I use the right report to create data that I search for. I need to learn many things here, and maybe it’s of great help when I always reach out to its customer support staff.

PROS: As a small organization, we are looking for a tool with a variety of features to help us—and we’re glad we found DonorPerfect. It has a team that is willing to listen to our concerns and make necessary adjustments based on our needs. We like that it’s easy to use and has easy-to-understand mobile app and reporting tools. Its training and ongoing webinars are beneficial, as well. I highly recommend this software for small organizations like us.

CONS: There are few changes made on batch entry 2.0.

PROS: This software is easy to use, and its customer support is responsive and on-time in answering our concerns/questions. It helped us create sub-accounts and profiles under them. The tool for online donation and reporting are both impressive.

CONS: I wish they could provide donors a login portal. Also, they need to improve on the tool that handles split gifting, particularly for those who donate repeatedly.

PROS: DonorPerfect is easy to use. Its dashboard is easy to understand and navigate. Also, customer support is responsive, and the reporting features are working so well. We’ve been using this software for more than two years to combine our registration forms and e-commerce services on our website. This product, in general, is excellent for our organization.

CONS: One thing I dislike about this tool is the costs and associated fees, but I think this is normal for online tools and services. It’s worth the money if your organization is handling a large database.

PROS: I like its excellent customer service, online access, credit card automatic updates, and Constant Contract integration.

CONS: You have to use a credit card processor. It can’t generate and edit invoices within the software. Its forms are not quite suitable for online donations.

PROS: DonorPerfect has a team of experts who are always ready to assist. The training staff is hands-on when it comes to providing solutions to our problems. Its sales department is very professional and knowledgeable about the facets that could positively impact our organization. Lastly, its data conversion team has a high level of expertise in handling and transferring data.

CONS: With so much information to learn and things to do within the tool, one could find it overwhelming to adapt things faster during the training. Good thing, they provide ample training materials that can be learned by our team at their most convenient time.

PROS: I appreciate the customer service team. They are willing to grease the wheel to make things easier for us. They are responsive and always providing recommendations for our convenience. They’re even willing to make some modifications to the tool to make it more user-friendly. Also, when I need to pull out some data, I can do it easier and quicker this time.

CONS: We have web forms that are designed specifically for our type of organization. However, it becomes an issue when some of our staff aren’t willing to adapt to the changes.

PROS: DonorPerfect is easy to use, user-friendly, and customizable, making it an ideal fundraising solution for my non-profit organization. Its customer support is responsive and timely when we need help with the data sets we’re looking for or when we have questions. Their staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. The software is well-organized and logically set up, and it can be accessed almost anywhere with its mobile version.

CONS: I don’t have any issues with DonorPerfect. There’s just one time that I have trouble running a report because I messed up, but the customer support was there to help me make the process successful. With their continuous help, I was able to run reports on my own and become more familiar with the reporting tool.

PROS: DonorPerfect is an easy-to-use software with drag and drop functionalities to generate reports. It has tutorials and videos available on the site for users to learn. It comes with a mobile app that I can use anytime I want, making data viewing much easier and faster. This one works far better compared to the previous software we’re using. The pricing models are even fair compared to other CRMs out there. DonorPerfect is an excellent solution for small non-profit organizations.

CONS: I wish the software provides in-person training or support to its users. Sending someone into our office to teach us everything about this tool would literally help us understand it even more. Also, I would suggest they allow the users to customize the package they’re subscribing to. It can help us pick the functionalities we only need and even help lower the cost.

PROS: I personally do not have anything positive to say about this product. I've been working in arts finance for nearly 20 years. The interface is clean at first, but when it comes to reporting, it gets very bad very quickly, and there is no manual or sales engineer to provide any guide to making it work. The web/cloud implementation is advantageious, but you're basically entrusting your data to a third party who can hold you hostage at any moment, and the pricing quickly spirals.

CONS: It needs to implement GAAP. This program cannot and does not handle pledges and receivables correctly. It does not create batch reports for credit card usage. The customer service staff do not provide service. they are thinly veiled salespeople on bloat addons that should be part of the base price. It's like airlines where they nickel and dime you and want to charge more for cabin pressure. An "implementation specialist" imported data from Raiser's Edge, then threw out 30 years of our org's data, and we didn't get it back., and then the specialist had to do it all over again and it still wasn't right but nobody ever spoke to accounting. This is not sales engineering. The pricing penalizes prospecting because each "record" costs you - so you can't send appeal letter to prospects because you're afraid to put them in your database because of What Donor Perfect will charge you.
