Extensis Portfolio Review

PROS: It’s smart enough that it can figure out where to find all pertinent assets that are beneficial to you and your clients.

CONS: It can be slow at certain times. The good thing is that it seldom happens at all.

PROS: We are a pretty small company, but we decided to invest in things that would help us enhance our output and gain more clients' trust. We are all quite happy to be working with Extensis. The app is responsible for managing all of our resources. It's good for business and easy on the pocket.

CONS: It’s not the easiest software that you can work with, and challenges happen along the way. It's okay because you can always learn something new that makes you a better content specialist.

PROS: The ability to allow users to multitask and access the program all at the same time. We can work on multiple contents, which increases our productivity.

CONS: It can be quite challenging to organize items one by one. You need to make time to update your gallery to avoid getting lost.

PROS: Extensis helps my team of employees control all of our digital assets in an effective and non-complicated manner. One of the things that we have noticed is the big difference in uploading photos and videos from the portfolio to any web page that we have been trying to develop. We have thousands of pictures in store, but we could not find the images we need to use to enhance the brand we are currently working on. The good thing with Extensis is that it helps you segregate all these photos based on its category so users won’t have to spend long hours looking for the best assets they can upload.

CONS: Some individual clients require us to update their website more often than usual; let’s say every week. I have to say that it takes a lot of work to accomplish this kind of task even if we have Extensis installed on our workstations. I wish that they could develop a specific product feature that would help take charge of updating a particular content without the need for us to spend long hours in front of the computer and replace some of the photos and videos from scratch.

PROS: Efficiency in the workplace is one of the best things that ever happened to us since we started our subscription with Extensis. Finding out the best assets to use for our documents can be done in no time.

CONS: I keep on praying that nobody removes any files without my consent. It happened once, and I wasn’t able to retrieve it.

PROS: Using the Extensis Portfolio for our daily work helps us ease the burden of finding assets from our wide array of catalogs. Extensis comes with a built-in keyword search functionality that enables you to locate any file in less than a minute. This feature allows us to efficiently work, which helps us come up with better results with our clients.

CONS: The product comes with too many features making it competitive but also confusing to first-time users.

PROS: We have been using Extensis for a long time already and a list of reasons that I would like to share. First, it makes our work more accessible. Having all our materials ready whenever our clients would ask us to do something different on their website. Lastly, it allows us to create several templates that we can use for our future projects. The more template, the more choices we have plus, the more clients that w can take in.

CONS: Everything seems to be doing okay with Extensis. I’ll tell you in case something goes wrong.

PROS: It’s highly beneficial for my entire team. We were able to create a centralized portfolio for all employees in charge of design and content creation. The features are so flexible that it can match the individual needs of each employee.

CONS: I really cannot think of the things that I specifically do not like about the product. A little bit of enhancement on their features would be nice so that it won't affect some computers' speed in the office.

PROS: Before using Extensis, I don't have a fixed portfolio for my work. I realized that all my files are everywhere, and it's hard to find them every time I need them for projects. Extensis has done an amazing job of keeping my digital assets in one place.

CONS: There are scenarios wherein we are in the middle of seeking propriety approvals. The system would suddenly freeze. This disrupts the momentum that I’ve set for the day. Some of my old files are also quite hard to access, so I have to look for other alternatives.

PROS: It is one of the smartest application that I have ever encountered in the industry nowadays. My design team can quickly determine whether it's okay to use specific photos or not for their ongoing projects. Also, you have the liberty to fill up the gallery with digital assets of your choice.

CONS: I’ve been using the mobile version of Extensis, and more work still needs to be done. Uploading images and videos is not as seamless as I thought it would be.

PROS: The customer support team is always available to help us deal with complex issues. Plus it helps our staff look for significant photos that they can use to upload digital content via the internet.

CONS: The app itself can be a little bit fuzzy. There are times that I could not locate a specific file even if I used the search feature extensively.

PROS: It’s convenient to use for my projects because I can sync all my documents from my PC without any hassle. It comes with specific features where I can easily edit or upgrade my client’s website because the gallery of my photos and videos are very much accessible. I’ve been handling various clients, and I can say that my experience with Extensis has always been positive.

CONS: I suggest that you install it on computers with higher specs. Using it in an outdated OS version will slow down your work.

PROS: Extensis comes with many features that can enhance our branding goals and take it a notch higher than what we usually expect. Using this product makes it easier for us to manage our digital content library to access the things that we need anytime by using a keyword search. Before purchasing Extensis, I suggest that you take advantage of the free trial offer and use it for several weeks. You'll have enough time to think if it's worth spending on or not. I realized that it's beneficial for the business by ensuring that all our projects won't encounter any legal issues or problems in the future. Also, their support team is truly supportive and helpful to all of my staff. Anyone can place a call to ask for help, and they answer right away.

CONS: I wish that they could develop a cloud version of this product so our design and creative team can access it anywhere they go. Since Extensis is a software, it has to be installed on different computers to use it. I’ve also been experiencing issues while using MAC, so I’m not recommending this to those who own Apple laptops. You might end up feeling somewhat frustrated with all the bugs and latency that you might encounter.

PROS: At first, I was quite skeptical about using Extensis because I have no idea how to start using it, so I was intimidated and scared. However, after trying it out and seeing how the system works, I became more confident that I can use it to improve our work quality. Aside from that, the app is accessible to all of my team members. Meaning they can open it all simultaneously then get some work done. At the same time, IT personnel can fix any ongoing problems that the users are experiencing. I’m still looking into the API. I’m trying to figure out how to develop a system that can help improve our current work process that would benefit every team member.

CONS: We have tried installing Extensis to several computers with different operating systems and see how it responds to us. We made a vote then eventually settled for Linux because of its faster, more efficient, and low maintenance. Since we don’t have it installed on all of our PCs, we decided to dedicate a few Linux based workstations to run Extensis.
