Wrike Review

Our score: 9.7 User satisfaction: 97%

What is Wrike?

Wrike Digital Asset Management Software is a robust cloud-based solution for storing and managing your files. It helps you save time in searching and retrieving the right files, sorting confusing edits, and logging manual updates. This easy-to-use digital asset management tool centralizes everything you need for the right task or project by attaching files from cloud storage apps and setting up reviews for images and videos.

Wrike provides a centralized online hub for creating, managing, sharing, tracking and retrieving your digital assets. Companies can efficiently use their resources as time is not wasted on tracking down colleagues or searching for correct information. This also helps avoid encountering missing information at work due to a messy document management system. The tool organizes your digital assets in four steps: creation, planning and customization, collaboration, and reporting.

Additionally, you can maximize this tool’s functionality with its collaboration features. You’ll have complete visibility over documents with a full revision history, directly write in Wrike, and add new versions on top of older file versions, among others. Available on mobile devices both in iOS and Android, users can access the tool any time and anywhere to increase your team’s productivity and efficiency.

Overview of Wrike Benefits

Wrike Digital Asset Management Software provides an easy and efficient solution for organizing your digital assets in the cloud. Here are the host of benefits you’ll gain from this tool:

Eliminating costs from lost or misplaced files

As your digital assets increase in number, they become more prone to getting lost or misplaced. Wrike eliminates the costs associated with these by providing a platform to store and manage them safely in the cloud. Role-based access control ensures accessing data is on a need-to-know basis. The cloud technology also ensures data is safe from disasters and is always accessible using any device as long as there’s internet connection.

Accelerating production cycles

In a single location, you can keep track of everything relevant to a project or task. Setting up reviews for images and videos is streamlined by attaching files easily from cloud storage apps such as Google, Box, and Dropbox. Proofing and Approvals let you directly comment on images, videos, and PDFs. Wrike also has an online document editing feature to cut down time by eliminating having to download documents to your computer to edit.

Automating workflows

Projects, folders, tasks, and subtasks provide the core building blocks of your workflows. This lets you break down large tasks into smaller, actionable tasks where you can set due dates and attach digital assets. Dynamic Requests Forms automatically assigns requests to the right team to accelerate delivery and scale your project volume. Furthermore, the file management tool lets you upload and edit documents, work collaboratively and view changes in real-time without saving the attachments to your computer.

Improving team collaboration

With a centralized digital asset control, teams using Wrike can efficiently facilitate collaboration. Speed up the feedback process and approval cycle with full context. Communicating with teammates is streamlined through messages right in the workspace. Through email and calendar synchronization, you can seamlessly forward emails to Wrike where they automatically transform into tasks.

Wrike Position In Our Categories

Knowing that companies have particular business-related demands, it is sensible they steer clear of picking a one-size-fits-all, “perfect” business program. Be that as it may, it is hard to try to stumble on such a software product even among recognizable software solutions. The correct step to do should be to write the various significant aspects that require consideration such as essential features, costing, skill capability of staff, organizational size, etc. The second step is, you should follow through the product research systematically. Browse through some Wrike analyses and check out the other software products in your shortlist more closely. Such well-rounded product research guarantee you circumvent unfit apps and pay for the system that includes all the aspects you require company requires.

Position of Wrike in our main categories:

TOP 3

Wrike is one of the top 3 Digital Asset Management Software products

If you are considering Wrike it could also be beneficial to analyze other subcategories of Digital Asset Management Software collected in our base of B2B software reviews.

It is crucial to keep in mind that hardly any app in the Digital Asset Management Software category will be an ideal solution that can match all the requirements of various company types, sizes and industries. It may be a good idea to read a few Wrike Digital Asset Management Software reviews first as some solutions can dominate exclusively in a really narrow set of applications or be prepared with a very specific type of industry in mind. Others may work with an intention of being simple and intuitive and as a result lack complicated elements needed by more experienced users. There are also software that cater to a wide group of users and offer a rich feature set, however that frequently comes at a higher price of such a software. Be certain that you're aware of your needs so that you buy a service that offers exactly the elements you search for.

PROS: A very powerful project management tool with some good features

CONS: Be careful with Wrike - after being a customer for 2 years they massively increased our renewal price. It's now totally unaffordable and we're having to move to an alternative, which is especially annoying after the amount of time it took to train our staff in Wrike.

PROS: What I like most about Wrike is its flexibility. It allows you to customize the experience the way you want so it can suit all your needs. We were searching for a solution so we can replace home-grown software that is written by someone who no longer works at our place. We are non-profit organization and the price that Wrike offers is great.

CONS: We use this software for more than 3 years, whenever we run into some issues or misunderstandings we call its customer team and they resolve the solution for us.

PROS: I like that Wrike helps me to stay on track of all the tasks and to organize them, it reminds me to accomplish the things I need to get done by due dates and priority. It is a flexible tool that can be used by any kind of business because it helps you to keep the team together and connected during the projects, it allows you to assign tasks to other members.

CONS: They could make the layout of Wrike more intuitive because it can be little hard to learn it at the beginning.

PROS: This tool is flexible and easy to use. Its support team is great and it provides great videos that help you to better understand this tool. Our team found new way of collaborating and they have really improved the delivery time and reduce the meeting hours for checking project updates.

CONS: First of all, there is no way to automatically export report into PDF format, I have to log in check the reporting system every single day. I’d really like to receive print report in my email. Also, they could make the request from builder more flexible.

PROS: Love the product at first. Sadly In 2 of my companies, and in one i know the same thing has happened. We evaluated the software, and the team for one reason or another decided not to use it. Wrike became UNREACHABLE and INFLEXBILE. The do not allow for size or contract downsizing, if you slow or stop using it. For a small firm $1000/month is insanely high for a project management software that you do not use. No matter what we said, they will not compromise even slightly. So we are paying $12K!!!!!! extra for sofware we no longer use. Steer clear of this company if you are using for corporate use. 1 or 2 people maybe ..

PROS: There are lot of helpful features within Wrike starting from Gantt chart- that helps you with complex projects that require different tasks or phases in order to be completed, to Folders & Projects- Organization that helps you to manage projects from different angles like: customer-driven, sales-driven, marketing-driven and it allows you to manipulate and move projects into various folders. The Tasks feature allows you to assign the tasks to different people within the team. There is even an option for duplicating folders with their tasks

CONS: I’d like to create dependencies between projects. In addition, when I want to change a tasks’ deadline it automatically changes the subtasks’ deadline and whenever I want to push some things forward/backward with Gantt chart I need to go into each subtask to adjust them as well. Also, the duration can be complicated especially when we have several tasks and we are not sure about the actual time on a given day whether it is enough or not.

You can view them as a list, in a timeline, in a workload and on boards. It is powerful tool and it offers great customer service and documentation.

CONS: They could update the interface and improve the mobile-app. Unfortunately, you cannot use this product on anything except on computer or tablet. Also, there are lot of features and you will need some time in order to learn them all.

PROS: Wrike is made for managing various projects with various team members. We use it to keep track of all the activities during the last week and while performing weekly team meeting. It allows you to create project and subtasks within the same project. I like the upload attachment feature so we can easily track the tasks that are related to specific documents instead of searching them through emails. Also, the dates on the tasks is also helpful and I like that I get To Do list emailed with all the dates prioritized.

CONS: Sometimes I forget to use Time Tracking feature. Also, when I get an email that someone is editing a task it can be difficult to match up the email and what I see on Wrike. Additionally, it can be difficult to locate specific tasks when they are moved or marked inactive.

It allows lot of ways to view the tasks in a timeline and in a project, and this means that different users will get the information that is most relevant to them.

CONS: When dealing with numerous projects the deeper views and settings can be very complex. It is great tool but it has some complexity when it comes to multiple projects.

PROS: Wrike simply creates "time". Having tired several free trials of various PM options, Wrike immediately offers the user a user friendly, intuitive, and contemporary framework/design. Thorough analytics with a variety of views generated with less than 1-3 clicks; ahhhhh measurement, tracking with little to no effort or time...you can apply the time and efforts on actual projects and tasks. The collaboration and all in one hub design gives back HOURS in day bc you aren't chasing, searching, categorizing emails to find the trail of info, drafts, approvals, etc. The Outlook integration is tops - communications with wrike application users and external to wrike. With Wrike, you can have scheduled reports, daily view tasks, etc. sent to yourself, others, or a distribution list, and all have links to the specified items. And not enough room here for app praise. (The app rocks)

CONS: The export to excel functionality could be improved upon.

PROS: Other solutions we used so far do not match the simplicity and flexibility of Wrike. Its creative arrangement of folders enables us to sort tasks by agency client and department. We also use Wrike’s API to place the tasks into our custom marketing reports each month. Plus, Wrike’s draggable waterfalls view and overall interface are a dream to work with. At the same time all these features do not hamper Wrike’s flexibility at all.

CONS: Wrike’s default dashboard as well as reporting feature could be improved. However, I understand that Wrike is not a custom app designed specifically for our company’s needs. For example, we have a range of alarms for many types of metrics and these issues cannot be solved by Wrike or any other software for that matter as they are not written specifically for them. Apart from these issues, we find Wrike is a perfect software.
