Google Maps API Review

PROS: This app isn't just simply a map! It's an augmented reality search engine that helps you locate places and visualize routes that you needed to take to get to those places. It also provides reviews of places, such as restaurants and bars, made by other users.

CONS: The app is perfect when used with internet/mobile data. If you don't always have a connection, you need to download an offline map.

PROS: I love so many things about Google Maps! I listed some of my favorite features: (1) it allows you to save your favorite places; (2) it provides transportation options to reach an indicated place; (3) it has voice navigation that can help you find your way while driving so you can focus your eyes on the road; (4) it gives you a list of events near your location; (5) it's location sharing can be used as a safety measure especially if a vulnerable person is traveling alone; (6) it allows you to travel without worries and without the need for a tour guide; (7) it basically allows you virtually travel around the world; (8) it warns you about the real-time traffic situation which is helpful in planning your route!

CONS: There are times when your current location isn't detected or updated. We also had an experience where the map directed us to a different location.

PROS: The API is easily integrated with the whole Google system. It has amazing documentation capabilities that work perfectly with other apps when integrated into the system.

CONS: This is an amazing app. There's nothing to hate!

PROS: Google Maps is, hands-down, the best navigating tool out there! It makes searching and reaching various locations around the world so much easier because of its intelligent visual and auditory navigation features. It helps users accurately determine the travel time needed to reach a specific location, whether you're walking, driving, or commuting.

CONS: There are a few times where it detects the wrong location.

PROS: This smart app is an upgrade to your normal navigation tool! It's basically a Google search engine and it allows you to search for directions, rest stops, parking spaces through a voice prompt. I also love that it can use establishments as reference for direction rather than the name of the streets. It's easier to see the signages of the establishments rather than knowing the street names. The app allows me to reach my destinations safely and in no time because it warns the user about traffic jams and accidents.

CONS: I noticed that the app assumes that you're in a city where your most recent searches are located even if you're in another city.

PROS: This reliable app allows you to virtually navigate around the world. It provides images, links, and other information about a particular place you searched for!

CONS: There are some streets that are not available in street view, especially if it's not a major street.

PROS: Google Maps has all the necessary features that will help users navigate around various locations. It's straightforward and user-friendly. It helps the user determine the travel time and ETA when traveling to a certain place. It also suggests travel options that are available. It is a great guide!

CONS: This app is working perfectly and excellently!

PROS: I love the overall interface of Google Maps! It's user-friendly and really interactive! It is so rich in information such as images, restaurant reviews, traffic, travel time, and even terrain data! This information is really helpful when planning a trip. And since it uses augmented reality, getting lost as you navigate unfamiliar streets almost never happens! I also love the Location Sharing feature because it allows me to track the whereabouts of my loved ones.

CONS: It sometimes doesn't work if accessed in a super remote location using mobile data, so it is necessary to download the offline map.

PROS: What I really like about this app is that it is interactive and allows users to add and register places. For example, I added my own place on the map so that Uber drivers can easily locate me!

CONS: The map is confusing when in satellite view. I wish there's a way to remove the street outlines while in this view.

PROS: Google Maps made traveling more easy and convenient! It definitely helps you to reach various places around the globe (physically and virtually).

CONS: We had a few experiences wherein we took a shortcut suggested by the Maps, but ended up in the wrong place.

PROS: Google Maps provides various route options to users because it accurately reports the current traffic situation on different roads. The "Near Me" feature is really helpful as well because it allows me to see various spots to visit around the area. You can also login if you have a Gmail account so it can save your searches, pinned locations, etc. It's the best app for me!

CONS: Sometimes, the app suggests the longer route and it's quite confusing why it does that. I understand that it supposed to show all routes, but sometimes it just shows only one route, and it's the long one!

PROS: This app helps look for various locations around the world! My favorite thing about this app is that it provides a list of actual and related locations whenever you search for one.

CONS: I don't have anything negative to say about this perfect app!

PROS: This wonderful app can do so many things! You can literally and virtually go around the world with its help. I love the voice-over feature wherein the app helps you navigate around your area in real-time. It guides you in choosing which way to go by showing you the traffic situations in different routes. It can also detect your speed which helps in estimating your time of arrival at your destination.

CONS: The voiceover language is only available in English. The guide is also a bit confusing when there are flyovers.

PROS: This essential app is extremely useful to people from all walks of life. It's definitely helpful whether you're traveling to an unfamiliar place, or you just want a little exploration within your neighborhood. This app helps you locate any place--be it a park, a restaurant, or a bar. It computes the distances and estimates travel time for you regardless if you're walking, driving, or riding. It's really a straightforward app. It's so easy to use that even children can use it without having any trouble. It's reliable, safe, and accurate!

CONS: Google Maps is amazing! The only thing I don't like about it is you have to be connected to the internet to get an accurate travel time computation and updates.
