Show MoreBecause companies have distinct business-related needs, it is only rational they avoid seeking an all-encompassing, ”best” software product. Still, it would be difficult to discover such application even among branded software solutions. The rational step to do is to take note of the several significant factors that demand careful thought such as crucial features, plans, skill levels of staff members, business size, etc. Then, you should perform your research systematically. Have a look at some iContact reviews and check out the other solutions in your list more closely. Such well-rounded product research ensures you steer clear of mismatched apps and select the system which offers all the aspects your company requires to realize efficiency.
Position of iContact in our main categories:
iContact is one of the top 20 Marketing Software products
It is important to note that virtually no software in the Email Marketing Software category is going to be a perfect solution able to fulfill all the needs of various company types, sizes and industries. It may be a good idea to read a few iContact Email Marketing Software reviews first as some solutions may dominate exclusively in a very narrow group of applications or be created with a really specific type of industry in mind. Others might operate with a goal of being simple and intuitive and as a result lack complex functions welcomed by more experienced users. You can also come across apps that support a broad group of users and offer a complex feature base, but that in most cases comes at a more expensive cost of such a solution. Ensure you're aware of your requirements so that you get a service that has all the functionalities you look for.

PROS: I've been in the remodeling industry for a number of years. I started out as an office manager for my family's company. Now, I'm a consultant for other re-modelers. I've been using iContact the entire time. I like how simple it is including its functionality and extensive support.
CONS: There have been instances where my ability to send things froze up. This is likely a result of high usage. Working as a writer on the side, I'd like to send a number of e-mail addresses. And they should start with "@editor." But none of these things would prevent me from sustaining my strong relationship with iContact.

PROS: I've had a postive experience with Outmarket marketing software. Even if our startup doesn't have much change in using the press release functionality, we've been frequently using the e-mail templates. There are so many templates to pick. What's more, they can be customized.
CONS: Nothing to complain about Outmarket at the moment.

PROS: Their customer service is off the charts. I have so many examples to prove. Their resolutions are quick to do yet simple. One of those scenarios involved support not only resolving one but a few more glitches that were responsible for my modal plug-in to go haywire for weeks. Unlike its competitors, you can actually reach out and talk a person in a matter of minutes.
CONS: Their templates can get glitchy from time to time. It even led to some funny things. Images are so difficult to properly pad. The template I'm using is pale grey. I find that ridiculous and unreadable.
It’s been a pleasure working with iContact.

PROS: Vicki has done a tremendous job in walking us from start to finish. She helped us utilize our account in an efficient manner. What's more, she ensured that we get our account set up. She even guided us with the process.
CONS: Geolocation happens to be absent in iContact. I felt this is important since my subscribers are based in different parts of the globe. We wanted to keep track on their whereabouts for improved engagement.
I’m loving it and I’m seeing how it has the potential to be great.

PROS: Their people. We've been using a number of platforms before our business started to grow. After using them and looking into a bunch of others, the pricing and functionality were great. It was the folks and support that kept us content with iContact.
CONS: It'd be nice to have more automated functionality. More dynamic content should be displayed to prevent us from re-making varying campaigns in targetting a number of groups. We've sat down and had a good talk with our our rep regarding such needs. They've released newer products since going on board.
Perfect for those running a non-profit.

PROS: We're sending out newsletters once a week for our tango community. We're using iContact for managing subscriptions and keeping newletter and image archives. It's simple to recycle the same template. It's even more easy to keep track of those who get the e-mail. We now know the people receiving e-mail and the ones who actually opened them.
CONS: It takes several steps to include a hyper link for the newletter's web version. I'd have to send a dummy newsletter directly to my e-mail. Then have it archived. And then utilizing that link on the version that goes to just about everyone.

PROS: What I like most with iContact is its builder. It allows me to craft my very own e-mail templates. While iContact itself comes with pre-made newsletter themes, we wanted to lay everything out and organizing things on our own. The builder is flexible and highly intuitive.
CONS: We wish there's more room for storing images. And not having to make additional payments. It's more preferable if there's unlimited storage ---- free of charge.

PROS: iContact super easy to use. It's very affordable. When it comes to our needs in marketing, we wanted an efficient tool that's both effective and not a burden to our pockets. We found that with iContact. It may not have everything, but it gets things done.
CONS: While the e-mail templates are of big help. I realized the amount of customized that can be allowed are very limited. For instance, blocks won't snap out on a column. They can't even be split in a horizontal manner. I frequently force myself to dive into the source code just to get the things I need.

PROS: I'm a clinical psychologist. I've been making use of VMS for quite some time now. It's been very helpful in giving me the right tools in promoting and growing my business through social platforms. When I first started with VMS, my account executive guided me thorughout the entire process of marketing my population target via social channels.
CONS: There's so much to love with VMS. Its marketing suite gives you just about anything you want in luring in new people. This helped me grow my business. Thing is, I've yet to spend time learning the aspects of e-mail marketing and landing pages.

PROS: I've been making use of iContact for several years. The sames goes for its competitors. Hands down, there's no comparison when it comes down to quality HTML templates. What's more those templates come at zero fee. Customer service is the best that I've ever seen.
CONS: At the moment, iContact has no approach in deleting a campaign. For a non-profit running a number of programs, staff, and board members, we have difficulty managing them. And it's hard keeping our account free from clutter. It'd be a plus to delete campagisn when they're no longer being utilized.

PROS: Functioning in a marketing agency with a direct-response approach, it's essential in keeping prospects and clients update on the latest marketing opportunities. What I love about OutMarket is more than just a platform for building up on client interactions. It gives the chance to track how my recipients are engaged with the content I'm giving them. This allows for optimized future communications.
CONS: I wouldn't see this as something I hate. However, its social "buying signals" have yet to be proven worthy. A majority of the buying signals that OutMarket is picking up on are people mentioning our industry. That's with regard to job hunting instead of businesses looking for the services we're providing.

PROS: The templates are super easy to configure. I can now make professional marketing that can lure our subscribers. With the social media functionality, I can now post on any social media platform. We also get to track their stats. And that's very important.
CONS: What I find annoying at this point is that iContact is its mobile app. It functionality there is very limited. I want to have the ability to do things on-the-go. Like sending messages, for instance.

PROS: I like how simple it is in setting up a template. The visual editor is relatively easy. It makes room for a lot of personalization. Team support is swift in terms of response time when it comes to dealing with issues.
CONS: One big problem with iContact and iContact Pro is their lack of special reporting. I love having the ability in pulling a report of more than one e-mail sends. This is way better than separately pulling them. Aside from some downtime problems that happen once in a while, there's nothing else to complain about.

PROS: For the past several years, we've stuck by OutMarket. We love the things it does for our marketing as well as our interaction efforts. We appreciate the help support has given us. The OutMarket account exec took her time to look into our site, read blogs, and looking into our product and educational videos.
CONS: I can't come up with anything I hate with OutMarket. So far, no issues.

PROS: iContact assisted in increasing my business sales significantly. I can organize into groups my current customers. I can direct advertising to anyone or to certain individuals. Just recently, I did a Black Friday advertisement. Then I followed that with a Cyber Monday sale --- leading to a double in my sales!
CONS: There's really nothing to hate with the program. Althought there's one particular area that it needs to improve on. Whenever I'm making an ad to send to my mailing list, an option is available to create an ad and display it on my FB page. I'd be happy if we could preview the ad on a test before marking it as "published." Once a publish is made, changing shouldn't be allowed.

PROS: iContact does a fantastic job in collaborating and educating users. This ensures all technical requirements are met for simplified distribution of content through e-mail to subscribers. List management and setup is super easy. The library contains pre-formed templates. These are diverse and provides a number of options to suit a certain situation.
CONS: Some advanced functionality are a bit hard to carry out. Some have values that are a result of poor communication. They take a hit after some thought. The HTML editor is rather clunky. There's no option available for testing compliance with e-mail providers within the system.
