IT Glue Review

PROS: Linking one item with each other is easier on IT Glue. When you’ve finished organizing all documentation on the platform, it would be easier for you to locate anything on-demand as well. This is because IT Glue lets you see other items that are connected to a particular item you’re accessing. This includes items that are remotely linked.

CONS: I am looking for a feature that lets me add custom fields on all core assets simultaneously, without affecting other elements in a layout. Custom fields should be searchable too. Yes, I know why core assets have fixed layouts, thus IT Glue doesn’t carry the feature I’ve mentioned. However, that would be a terrific addition to the platform.

PROS: IT Glue really bolsters efficiency in our company because it helps us keep all important documentation and passwords, then find them instantly at any time necessary. We do not need to rely on the messy data storage in our system anymore.

CONS: I wish that the default time allowance for each login would increase. Other than this simple issue, I do not have other complaints about IT Glue.

PROS: IT Glue acts as the main database for all our admin info, and it is very suitable for technical stuff. It efficiently stores different vital resources, such as continuous integrations, domain tracker, SSL tracker, passwords, location info, contacts and documents among other items. Moreover, it is capable of tracking different apps and services, such as ADDS, WANs, remote access, security options, virtualization, voice system, wireless, sharing of files, printing, backups and licenses.

CONS: I notice that IT Glue support team has slow production of developments or updates according to user complaints and recommendations. However, now that the brand has a new company owner, I hope that its support system would improve. And I guess that boosting their tracking system for user recommendations is a great plus.

PROS: This helps us become efficient in handling all our client information on one platform. We can easily hop from one client detail to another, as well as we can instantly create, edit and share vital documents. IT Glue is really a perfect fit for our operations.

CONS: Clicking on a password document takes a few moments to load. This can easily accumulate into hours or days of work when we need to deal with a lot of them. Thing is, this problem wasn’t present before the recent update that we’ve received.

PROS: IT Glue is the perfect new option for our company's knowledge base. It has easily made other options obsolete, such as Microsoft Team, Intranet and Network Drive, which are all unsatisfactory because of big issues. IT Glue is really gearing us big time since it has easy to update guides. It is capable of carrying different data as well, such as network information, IP information and password among others. Then, anybody with permission can easily view such information anytime and anywhere. And oh, IT Glue is a system that covers all parts of our knowledge base. It even has panels for administrators and technicians among other staff.

CONS: The Android app of IT Glue fails miserably. We even experience a hard time when browsing or searching for different documents. That’s why we prefer to use it through the desktop.

PROS: We love to highlight the feature of IT Glue that lets us associate different objects with one another. Yes, many objects are understandably related to certain repositories. However, when you search for a particular object, you’d see some other objects related to it. Here you can see passwords linking to apps, then they in turn links to providers and files, etc.

CONS: There are features on the UI that suddenly shows, and we cannot find options to toggle them off. For example, we now see the “recent” section along with the “favorites” list.

PROS: IT Glue is ready for immediate use after installation, but it also offers a great customization option to help make the platform suit your demands. Right after setting up, you can instantly use the platform, and start loading your data into it. It is also very easy to use platform, but a training course is available for new users.

CONS: This is not an affordable option since I need to pay for each of my employees. A license that covers an entire company would be a great package option. Thing is, IT Glue is a great tool, that is why I’m still using it.

PROS: IT Glue features a handy panel that shows complete client information. This is where I check some information about my clients that I’ve personally encoded.

CONS: It is very hard to begin using this platform. That’s why I hope IT Glue would come with a complete training course to help users start.

PROS: IT Glue is dependable storage for tons of information. This serves as a great solution for keeping our documentation all in one hub. Thus, making such information easy to find and use as references by our technicians.

CONS: It lacks useful features especially those that support better personalization. Say, it doesn’t support the addition of an image to stored documents through local means. This pushes us to find some other solution for inserting essential images into our docs.

PROS: It does do well as a single spot where you can store just about any kind of information about a client. It offers a way to share and collaborate with clients re: passwords and policies. Security is good as they have mandatory multi-factor authentication. They offer integration with many different vendors and tools to track assets, licenses, ect.

CONS: Considering this product was raved about by quite a number of people, we were quite disappointed. Thinking of IT Glue I think of the idiom 'jack of all trades, master of none'. IT Glue does a lot, but it doesn't do anything particularly well. While it is functional, we find the software very clunky. Our staff often revert to the old way of tracking info because it is much faster. The password manager functionality, a key feature for us, is terrible. It does not support browser integration on all major browsers, often requires manual input/intervention and the permissions configuration is very confusing. It has a checklist functionality that works well, but pales in comparison to leading checklist software such as Process St.

PROS: We can easily link objects and resources with the platform, which is great for making relationships among our files. This is perfect for shared applications and solutions with the documents.

CONS: Some essential features aren’t present in IT Glue, such as a function for approving documents. We’ve suggested this to the IT Glue technicians, but it still hasn’t come to fruition.

PROS: IT Glue doesn’t simply store all our confidential info, it is loaded with tons of cool features that make the system super easy to use too. First, it has some hotkeys that we can use on its interface for retrieving specific information faster. Second, it has a convenient mobile app that we can use to sign-in anywhere, then we can check any critical client detail without hassles and without any security threats. Third, it has some useful plugins for other helpful tools. And lastly, it has handy complementary features, such as fast searching and instant password hiding.

CONS: Better tracking for objects during updates would be great. Moreover, I hope they’d add more suppliers into the platform for more functionalities.

PROS: IT Glue features a smooth UI that can carry all information I need to store. Also, it uses a seamless and fast copy-paste mechanism to secure your passwords, which means your credential information won’t remain vulnerable on the screen for a long time. And it complements password security with a convenient searching function, so you can find any password you need in a moment.

CONS: Adding better-automated association features to the passkeys would improve this platform drastically. Say, you use a regular password, I wish the item would follow a parent and child pattern, so the child item would automatically change when the parent is updated. I am having some trouble with this because the current linking of parent password to a child item isn’t automated. On another point, I hope the platform won’t require me to open a different tab to set the configuration when I’m already working on something. I notice this problem because I need to open a different tab to make a configuration, then sync it with the item I’m building. Configuration settings are important when building items on the platform, after all.

PROS: IT Glue is efficient for keeping various client info and documentation. It is perfect for other data as well, such as passwords, licenses and network configs. Everything is properly organized in its interface, and the platform is very easy to use.

CONS: The search results page looks too messy, especially when we use it to find certain companies. That is primarily because the results aren’t arranged in a particular order, such as alphabetically in a list. It is not a significant problem for us, though.

PROS: I like its interface because of the seamless navigation, excellent organization of options, highly intuitive and is frequently updated for optimal performance. IT Glue also has support for the ConnectWise plugin, making it very suitable for our manage service provider.

CONS: This may sound unbelievable, but we’ve never experienced any problem with IT Glue for many years using it. This platform is a perfect fit for our operations.
