What is OneLogin?

OneLogin is one of the world’s leading Identity and Access Management (IAM) software designed to simplify business logins while improving the efficiency and security of your systems. Used by thousands of businesses and individuals, OneLogin is fast and easy to implement and helps in streamlining many of a user’s workflows and processes, resulting to improved productivity without compromising security.

With OneLogin, all apps, users, and devices are unified in a deeply integrated cloud-based system. The software makes identity and access management fast and easy, providing users with accurate implementation of your identity policy while significantly reducing the load of your IT and make it work on its identity first strategy.

Overview of OneLogin Benefits

With OneLogin running in your system, you can be sure that your company’s security policy is strictly enforced across all your devices and users as well as your applications, whether on the cloud or on-premise. The system gives your employees access to applications that are certified policy compliant.

All devices in your network are totally secured as OneLogin brings enterprise agility coupled with secure app access. This security is fully implemented across the entire organization and network, including corporate desktops, web apps and mobile devices. Administrators can choose to restrict employee access to certain apps and implement Multi-Factor Authentication for added protection. When going through the access, auditors can generate reports with just a click of a button to see who accessed what applications and when the action took place.

As identity management is improved, OneLogin also decreases the expenses related to identity management. The system moves all identity and access management to the cloud, thus generating significant savings on infrastructure and operational costs. Costs on directory integration is also lowered as well as directory costs since OneLogin gathers and consolidates all user profile information in the cloud.

OneLogin decreases the workload and stress on your IT infrastructure by taking out the need for lengthy integration and provisioning projects, password and username resets, and shadow IT policing. Legacy identity management integrations are automated and simplified and users are empowered to perform self-service administration of passwords and account information

PROS: What's good with HEAP is its value prop. Having the ability to operate analytics on questions we came up with has been handy. It's really a lifesaver! Aside from being useful, there's never a need in installing event-specific firing tags on certain aspects. This greatly saved our dev resources.

CONS: When dealing with a huge volume of events, its UI can be difficult to manage. Even if it's a really powerful tool, people will have a plethora of events to keep track of. Dealing wiht more than a hundred events via HEAP is challenging as it lacks an inherit organization and grouping. It's basically a huge list of time with the capacity to sniff things out by means of text. Unless your current team is dealing with nomenclature in event/report tagging, be cautious when scaling with HEAP.

PROS: Nice User Interface and fairly easy to get set up and started.

CONS: Really poor customer service practices. Took a week to get a response to a ticket. When asked about this no accountability was taken but rather blame passed on repeatedly.

PROS: UI is surprisingly simple. Easy implementation of company applications. One login for all apps. Password reseting is self-service.

CONS: I have zero list to dislike with OneLogin. It does a phenomenal job in carrying out ideas. Obviously these camefrom their "Ideas" portal.

PROS: I love the fact that all of my apps can now be seen in a single page. OneLogin has made the possible. Spotting icon-dominated buttons is easy. Including new apps is fairly simple.

CONS: I'd like to make things eaier when organizing apps within the home screen. Right now, they're arranged in alphabetical order. That's actually ok. But it's preferable if they can be neatly arranged according to the most used to least used apps.

Ease of Use

Published on: 12.09.2018 Company Size: More than 100 Employees Industry: Internet

PROS: The company I previously worked for was using OneLogin in accessing each internal-external facing structure. Whether it's from our e-commerce platform to e-mails to HR management, everything can be accessed from a single location. Working for a company with a quick-paced logistics, I suddenly saw myself consistently moving from these screens and programs. I have access to most program in an easy-to-use location. This significantly enhanced my efficiency.

CONS: The one negative things with OneLogin is that it automatically logs me out after leaving it on for some time. I'd see myself moving from one program to the next. After around several minutes, I'd be asked to input my credentials all over again. Granted this a lot more preferrable than inputting my logins for every program we've utilized. But then again, this may be an internal problem that's still worth the mention.

PROS: I've experimented with other password managers and was on the market to look for something new. I love how this came with a basic version (free) just so I could have an idea with what it does before making a purchase. Its service is is really affordable (a huge plus). I'm currently running a small business and cost means everything to me. It has support for numerous registration pages and an Automated SaaS app configuration (both are handy when needed).

CONS: It tends to get a little confusing. The manual SaaS app configuration instructions weren't available. I resorted to seeking assistance from support just so I can figure out everything. A noticeable disconnect can be seen between mapping and roles. This adds a bit of intricacy. However, the setup has worked really well

PROS: I've had experience dealing with two identity provider solutions in the past. There's no question. OneLogin is the best solution I've ever used. The product has a suite of tools and rich in features.

CONS: The user provisioning appears sketchy. It does function like it should. But I feel it's more troublesome than what it's actually worth. This may be related with the apps that we're currently utilizing it with.

PROS: Its remote function is definitely reliable. It functions efficiently. Using it across operating systems is easy. Having quick accessibility is a bonus.

CONS: The manual login was needed for my smarpthone. It couldn't sync automatically. But this changed in the later going. So I'm thinking this may have something to do with the software update.
