What is Adyen?

Adyen is a reputed US payment technology managed by prominent industry experts. Next to it being the synonym of hassle-free and streamlined payment, Adyen is also famous for its innovative working policies, change viability and instant access to support, as well as a number of efficient payment procedures that are priced moderately, and suit the needs of on-budget users. All Adyen fees are quote-based, and depend on the amount you’re transferring.

In a variety of ways, Adyen aims to respond to shopper outreach challenges and replace classic credit card-PayPal combinations with modern mobile/one-touch payment methodologies. Yet, the modus operandi varies in line with the location of the user, which is how Adyen focuses on debit and credit card purchase transactions for US’s eCommerce market, and debit and Interact combinations for Canada. Other popular supported methods include American Express, UnionPay, Bancontact, Apple Pay, Android Pay, Giro Pay, iDial, Diners Club, Alipay, Hipercard, Finish eBanking, and many more.

Its beneficial impact on business environments consists mostly in it being able to bring more customers on board, and inspire interest in a particular product/service by making it easily accessible. To ensure a standardized and transparent experience for all users, Adyen enables online payment via local and mobile devices, and guarantees that your money will arrive in time regardless of the location of your buyers. This is only one of the attributes that make Adyen an exceptional trade partner, and which exhibits a dramatic difference to traditional, time-consuming payment methods. As a result, Adyen is now enabled on all bustling markets, and used by thousands of prominent performers around the globe. Alongside English, the platform can be used in Spanish, Portuguese, and French.

Another reason why we often refer to Adyen as a business-first payment technology is it being able to connect to various productivity tools and business applications. At the moment, Adyen’s functionality is synchronized with platforms such as Salesforce, Ebizmarts, Navitaire, Cegid, Hybris, Magento, Amadeus, and more. Plugins and open API data is available to all developers interested to build their custom connections.

Overview of Adyen Benefits

Driven by the sole incentive to streamline payment and help money move without hassle, Adyen is now fully enabled to meet all common financial requirements. In corporate environments, it is being used to facilitate eCommerce, omnichannel, and mobile transactions, but acts nonetheless as a smart and independent tool that targets and attracts customers. To keep in line with trends, Adyen also operates on mobile devices, and makes it possible to pay and receive money wherever you may be located.

Adyen and your preferred method of payment

It is safe to assume that Adyen is a one-size-fits all transaction management system, given that it supports all credit and debit card payments, including Visa, Master, American Express, Diners Club, Union Pay, DISCOVER, Star, Pulse, Bancontact,  JCB, and NYCE. The platform also accepts Apple Pay, Android Pay, Giro Pay, iDial, Diners Club, Alipay, Hipercard, and Finish eBanking payments. Adyen fees and commissions will depend only on the amount you are transferring.

Adyen for eCommerce

Adyen drives conversions and enables mobile payments wherever you may be located, and thus makes it possible to reach out to global audiences all from a single platform. The tool uses rich data to drive revenue, and offers a full range of mobile payment functionalities to make your service more attractive. These include, among other, all major card schemes and mobile wallets such as Apple Pay and Android Pay. The process is really simple and initiated within the app, so that users can pay without friction, and without entering sensitive data on other applications.

Revenue Accelerate is another feature that deserves a look, a silent engine that works in the background of each payment, and combines factors to increase card approval rates. Thanks to it, you will also have access to a historical overview of all transactions, and pull off data relevant for your analytic operations.

Adyen for Point-of-Sale payments

Adyen is also a reliable partner for managing point-of-sale payments in US and Europe. Using it, you can forget about checkout queues and lost sales, as all Adyen terminals are NFC enabled, and support contactless payments. Adyen will provide you with a centralized view of all relevant stores and markets, and integrate with all leading POS solutions to ensure a seamless customer journey. The platform is EMV certified, and also offers remote management services for in-store hardware.

In this aspect, Adyen also made the effort to become more useful to international businesses, which is why it also accepts JCB and UnionPay cards all from the same terminal. Your customers will also find it very comfortable to pay in their own currency, given that the tool supports DCC (Dynamic Currency Conversion).

Cart & Inventory management

Another interesting possibility offered by Adyen is to install in-store kiosks, and let shoppers access all items you have available for sale. This means that they can look for a preferred size, color, or price independently, make an order, pay, and have it delivered at their door. All along, shoppers will be able to return items cross-channel, and make alterations in their cart. This is not only a cost-effective methodology, but also one that will help you sell more to customers discovering entries related to their order.

Conversion optimization

Adyen is also well-known for its immediate reaction to common flaws in legacy payment systems, thanks to which it saves 5% of declined transactions, and turns them into approvals. To do so, Adyen uses RevenueAccelerate’s automated machine learning, and builds intelligence adapt both the format and route of each payment request in real-time. In such way, the chances of approval are maximized.

Risk management

Payment transparency is one of Adyen’s leading concerns, which is why risk management is an integrated module in their payment facilitation strategy. The platform streamlines payment processes with a special Revenue Protect feature, which will grant interested shoppers undisturbed access, and yet keep fraudsters away. With Adyen in your toolkit, you will never have to worry whether your information is fully secured. All devices are PCI-DCC enabled, and fully certified for EMV Chip & PIN, EMV Chip & Sign, magnetic swipe credit, and debit transactions.

PROS: Adyen is very convenient to use and easy to setup. The payment technology that can receive payment from any part of the globe in addition to the existing POS, smartphone, and web payment. It provides a good avenue for the collection and movement of the payment using the net without much trouble or less complicated process.

CONS: The process is not as smooth and convenient as that of Stripe or PayPal. There's the need to improve and develop their API and the rate is quite high for small players in the market.

Ease of Use

PROS: Adyen shows all the necessary details to handle your clients' transactions assuredly without any failures. The greatest feature about Adyen is how efficient it is to transfer returns automatically to the user's credit accounts, PayPal accounts, etc. via the application. You can also erase account information by pressing a link if necessary. Adyen provided an excellent summary of the payment and all important data. Users could also download purchase and reimbursement transactions if needed as Pdf documents easily.

CONS: You may not get a summary of several payments by the same account or credit card immediately which would be useful in solving support cases in certain circumstances. The application automatically logs out your account within fifteen minutes for safety purposes and if your task is completed on a variety of sites, this can be frustrating, causing users to be down quickly with Adyen for more than the given deadline. After all, this could be easy to customize.

PROS: Adyen's brand might become unfamiliar to the majority of people, however, it is the service provider which manages the collections of a few of the country's most successful businesses. Including, Spotify, Netflix, Uber or Mango or Superdry transactions are handled by your payments, possibly via this 'startup'. Essentially based on an end-to-end framework that manages every aspect of the system of digital payments and enables its users to take an international step without implementing new applications or systems that may not be so easy to establish.

CONS: In order to determine the disadvantage of using this tool, in overall, the cost is effective, because it is important to understand that the cost system is complicated, it is distinguished in a report of many sites, we fully understand that the fees via Ayden assumed a business 3.5 percent by each transaction or, whether it is via online banking, 0.25 euros for every payment.
