BoardDocs is an electronic board management solution designed for public school boards, nonprofits, and organizations. Executives, administrators, and board members use the software to effectively and efficiently formulate, discuss, and implement policies and plans for their organization. Described as a paperless and comprehensive e-governance and meeting solution, BoardDocs streamlines how organizations create packets, conduct meetings, and access information.
BoardDocs allows users to easily create agendas for meetings and to view their specific details: supporting minutes, information, or attachments. They can also add notes to the items or details of an agenda or policy. In addition, Strategic goals can be associated with agenda items; and progress reports can be created. Meeting video and audio recordings are also available in BoardDocs.

One of the unique features in BoardDocs is its MetaSearch functionality. MetaSearch enables users to access information from the comprehensive database of BoardDocs, which they can use as a reference and guide, or even include it to their governance processes and agenda. As an example, they can use this functionality to help them review or refine the content of the policy they created. As they enter a search term related to their policy, BoardDocs will pull up and show a list of information from the policies of similar organizations. They can select from this list and import it to their own policy.
Another functionality of BoardDocs is it allows users to customize their agenda workflow. Staff, for instance, can add notes and submit items to a draft of agenda. All the annotations and changes made in such draft can be tracked. Additionally, users can set up approval trees for their workflow. This means documents need to be checked first before they will show up on the draft agenda.
BoardDocs offers a library which stores files, such as images and newsletters. Users will be able to access unlimited attached files. Furthermore, users can create categories of public and private library documents. Items for events and strategic goals can also be accessed from its library.
