Drupal is described by its developers as a community publishing system. However, Drupal is still a content management system, optimized many times throughout the years to be used on the web as social medium. Explained in a non-technical language, Drupal is a platform that takes the preeminent bits of the content management system, forums, wikis, e-commerce and blogging platforms to create an integrated modular system that can be used for communication, publication, and e-commerce.
Still, Drupal is much more than a CMS: it is an application development framework that compels the developers to use a common, structured approach that leads to a modular, interoperable code with a common interface. Finally, Drupal is an open source CMS platform that empowers many applications and websites for free. The reason for this is that there are many diverse communities of users who are active not just in applying, but also building and supporting Drupal.
Show MoreDrupal has to offer many functionalities ranging from advanced menu management to user management. With these functionalities, it becomes easier for the users to create a simple, yet advanced website, blog, social networking page etc. With Drupal, a user can create and manage a variety of content types that include videos, polls, texts, blogs statistics, and so on.
Since Drupal is customizable; a user can easily find a vast variety of ideas and functionalities for both developers and designers. With Drupal, companies can benefit from rapid development through deploying the core features and functionalities. When it comes to scalability, reliability, manageability, security, and availability of resources, Drupal comes to par with an enterprise-class CMS.
More than a million websites are using Drupal because of its versatility. The platform has a powerful taxonomy, which assists you when organizing and tagging content. With the help of Drupal taxonomy, you can easily target the keywords you have researched at any moment of time. Additionally, since Drupal is designed for community-based websites, it has a strong user role and access control that allows you to create as many custom user roles as you need. Moreover, the Drupal forum is highly active and is therefore a great place to get all your question answered.
Show MoreBearing in mind companies have their own business wants, it is sensible that they avoid paying for a one-size-fits-all, ideal business application. Needless to say, it is futile to try to come across such an app even among widely used software solutions. The reasonable step to undertake can be to set down the varied main aspects which entail research such as key features, plans, technical skill levels of the employees, business size, etc. Next, you should double down on your research fully. Go over these Drupal analyses and explore each of the software programs in your list more closely. Such well-rounded research ensure you take out unsuitable apps and pay for the one which includes all the benefits your business requires.

PROS: Drupal is flexible solution and provides system of modules and you can add them to your site for creating new functions. With commerce module you can add shoping functions and membership module allows you to do member based services and the video module allows you to host video clips. I like that these modules are made of small submodules and this means that you can turn on little bits of the functions. Also, you are allowed to mix the modules and create paid membership site.
CONS: It is complex solution. With Drupal you have lot of flexibilities and ways to do one thing but you can never be sure which method works the best. Also, the codes don’t last forever and this is because Drupal releases major updates which change the functionality of the site.

I also love the option of adding other users in a project because that way I can collaborate with other teammates.
CONS: Drupal is not that easy to use. It's a bit complex compared to its competitors.

We can keep our content organized and consistent and to help those users who can create page for a single paragraph or change fonts and colors.
CONS: It has a learning curve and the UI doesn’t have drag-and-drop function. Also, we cannot make changes and updates to the sites easily. I wish I could do the whole work by myself.
