FastSpring Review

PROS: FastSpring is a comprehensive international multilingual payment software with invoicing. We can market our product internationally without stressing about the taxation and billing regulation. We can even collect one or more batch payments rather than directly invoicing each customer. Basically, FastSpring takes care of the collection of tax, billing, recurring bill, payment reminders and invoice for our clients around the globe. There are also no monthly fees that I think is very beneficial for those with small businesses. Also, payments were quick and it has great API.

CONS: We've seen many sporadic "glitches" with them in recent years. But what we really don't like about it are: First, it has become more commercial and less intimate. Even declined to update their translation of Latvian language which is very essential to us since there's a typo error on the order page. Second, is poor management. The app had a glitch that ended us failing to charge several of our clients potentially costing us money and there wasn't even a follow-up report about the incident. Generally, these have very little effect but FastSpring must do better next time. Also, there are additional fees you need to pay to stay free from the stress of global coverage and compliance which are not the cheapest by the way.

PROS: The set up for FastSpring is very fast and simple. There's no complicated process unlike other providers and the managing system for coupons is very handy too. The support for most of the payment methods is also a huge benefit along with their customer support. We're using FastSpring to receive a subscription charge.

CONS: It's more of a recommendation because I think that it'd be nicer if FastSpring can integrate EDD Software licensing. Also, I think that the payout schedule should have more flexibility.

PROS: Setting up of account and of the product page was really simple. The ordering system also uses my random key generator which is very nice. Payments are made on time monthly and full handling fees are also applicable.

CONS: Creating a personalized product page is more difficult than using a regular one.

PROS: This tool enables us to manage all transaction information and eliminates the need to communicate directly with clients. It gives you the ability to customize order pages as well as ads, vouchers, etc.

CONS: FastSpring is a little difficult to manage, it'd be nice if they could have support staff to help set up order pages instead of just making user pick choices that aren't really easy to use.

PROS: Product management and set up is so easy. It also has an efficient, streamlined and intuitive order page. You can also customize the notifications.

CONS: There's no actual profit transaction detail and reports for failed orders. Affiliate management and sign-up are not automatic. You can't also do transfers between v2v.

PROS: The post-sale service is excellent. The team always provides quick and precise solutions to every issue we have raised.

CONS: It's nice if they would also consider using digital currencies such as bitcoin. Apart from that, it's perfect.

PROS: FastSpring makes the e-commerce site setup fast. Manage all the credit card purchases, taxation, and regulation. Simply sell your product. You don't need any experience if you're a small business.

CONS: I haven't encountered any problem as of now with FastSpring. It's all good for me.

PROS: It's very easy to set up; you can have an e-commerce site up and running in less than a day. Its a one-stop-shop for e-commerce particularly suited for software vendors and startups. I also like the high level of service you get and the team are always wiling to help you out fast.

CONS: Not a lot, admittedly. There is nothing but good things to say about the software. I can't ask for anything more.

PROS: Efficient support staff and cost-effective for my business too.

CONS: It would have been nice if you still have free design for the order page that compliments website style.

PROS: Using FastSpring is like having my own sales team. It keeps on top of all the sales and invoices.

CONS: FastSpring is perfect and I can't find anything bad about it.

PROS: FastSpring is my number one choice for being user-friendly control panel, customization features and how responsive support is. It also proved more than capable supporting complex software licensing schemes. It is also very easy to customize while my pages are uncluttered and simple.

CONS: Fees are not suitable for micro-payments. It would be nice as well if it was allowed by TOS to use FastSpring for custom custom freelance work, not just products. Also, a few customers couldn't figure out where to enter promotional coupons, but that's not really a deal-breaker for me.

API integration is easy and it made it possible for us to offer many payment methods to our customer base. It offers many other options for your e-commerce, such as payment and subscription.

CONS: We haven't come across any major problems. When we do have a problem, the support team helped us through it. Though I would say that setting up a store page for your products is not that easy if you are looking for a custom design, especially if you want it to look like your own web page.
