HawkSoft is built by independent agencies, and it is generally perceived as being very flexible and secure.

The insurance agency management software encompasses a data analysis engine called Agency Intelligence. With this data reporting tool, users would be able to access their Book of Business, retention, cross-sell, and sales pipeline KPIs instantly in a centralized system. The Agency Intelligence equipped them with viable information such as active policies by application type, customer retention rates, average lifetime of all of their active customers by producer, new policies added by production date, personal lines renewing and expiring in the next 60 days, and total leads.
Another prominent feature of Hawksoft is its large list of integrations. The software supports rater integration and as a result, requoting is done quickly. Furthermore, the creation of year-end tax preparation is executed automatically as the software can work with the accounting tools that are familiar to insurance agency accountants. Hence, they need not to abandon such tools in preparing renewal and account rounding reports, commission accounting, and even payroll. Hawksoft also highlights its real time integration with carrier websites. This integration allows users to communicate instantly and directly with the insurance policyholders and they could transmit data automatically. The software furthermore supports carrier downloads in order for users to obtain updated policies.
In addition, HawkSoft offers a document management feature that makes preparation of documents such as letters, forms, and certificates much easier. It has a built in library of ACORD Form and prefilled ACORD Forms. Certificates of Insurances could also be instantly generated through the system. Preparing PDF files and documents as well as editing their content is automated through its Virtual Printer which functions as a PDF writer. With this capability, the task of insurance agency staff is streamlined; and productivity is significantly increased.

PROS: When it works, there are some solid features, including reports and usability but there has been so much downtime and and so many errors that trust in the product is extremely low.
CONS: About twice a week, at least 1 user (mostly all users) loses service for a few hours for about the last 5 months. Sometimes, we do not know service is lost as we are still allowed to access the CRM; it is only after closing out for the day that we see a hidden message indicating "Hawksoft has experienced a problem and needs to close". All work from the time that window popped up is lost. Huge E&O exposure but also a huge frustration for the staff.
