What is Azuga?

Azuga is a fleet management solution that can be used by companies to track maintenance history, boost customer service, and improve vehicle safety. Top features of the app include data analytics, asset management, insurance telematics, and fleet tracking. The solution is used by companies in a range of industries include the public sector, emergency response, healthcare, hospitality, transportation, manufacturing, and construction.

Azuga enables users to track, measure, and avoid dangerous driving practices and minimize accident rates. The app encourages safe driving habits using a reward-driven telematics program. It creates a scorecard for drivers based on criteria such as speeding, acceleration, idling, and braking. This helps you to compare the performance of drivers and recognize top performers. The system also offers GPS features that companies can use to track vehicle location at all times.

Azuga provides distracted driving prevention technology features to minimize drivers’ temptation to call or text while driving. The software offers maintenance reports and dashboards to enable users to reduce repair costs and complete maintenance work on time. It also provides asset tracking functionality to help fleet operators improve vehicle dispatch cycles and boost productivity.

Overview of Azuga Benefits

Azuga’s key features include fuel conservation by eliminating waste miles on trips, unauthorized vehicle usage prevention, and compliance with federal laws. The software also offers APIs for seamless integration with ERP systems and third-party apps. The system can be accessed on mobile devices using a web interface or via native apps for iOS and Android devices.

Azuga offers a ‘SpeedSafe’ feature that tracks the speed of vehicles and sends alerts to fleet managers if a driver speeds on local roads, school zones, and residential streets. The system tags and captures various data points for each trip including idle time, location, total stops, starting point, destination, distance, and speed.

Azuga prevents unauthorized usage of a vehicle by enabling fleet operators to set usage parameters and get automated alerts when it is not acceptable to use the company vehicle. The platform offers fuel saver features that enable drivers to locate the nearest gas station and report fueling events for every fuel card transaction. On top of that, the tool provides occupant recognition capabilities that enable fleet managers to quickly identify the driver status and find out which driver is using which vehicle at any point in time.

Pros: ODB connection with engine diagnostics is a great feature when the modules functioned. They failed frequently with my older trucks. Other features are standard GPS tracking including speeding violations.

Cons: Does not work well with trucks that have modified wiring for snow plowing. My trucks all have snow plows and on some of them that appears to cause the units to fail. Azuga attempted to solve this problem by rotating new units to my vehicles but they continued to fail. When I was forced to cancel the service Azuga charged me for early termination.

Pros: If it worked and you never had to talk to anyone, it would be great.

Cons: Poor customer service. Had lots of issues, email and email, would wait weeks for a response. Asked to have someone come out to help us get through the issues, waited 3+ weeks for someone to come from Vegas to Arizona. Issues never changed, still am waiting for a response to questions I have.
