PROS: Its Define is transparent. Building new custom events is simple for those who lack the experience. The Retention graph is what we've been seeking for quite some time now. We haven't really made reliable ones until we discovered this. Including a primary action and one (or more) return action is changing the game when browsing for useful infor on your current users and their pattern of activities.
CONS: Landing precise results from reports requires further fine tuning. Once you're able to do this, you'll wind up with great insights.

PROS: Wha's great with Heap is its value prop. With the ability to operate analytics on questions that we're able to come up with is both a life saver. It also proves itself to be of great use. Aside from that, I don't need to install firing tags on area. That saved us from expending our developer resources.
CONS: When dealing with reports and events, its UI ends up becoming hard to manage. It's a really robust tool, but you've got to admit that people will be dealing with numerous events for tracking. Facing and organzing hundreds of events is very difficult since no grouping or management is involved. Unless your team has some kind of nomenclature for tagging reports/events, be vary careful if you have any plans to scale with Heap.

PROS: Positive points: it's easy to use, great scope, versatile, and worthy overall ownership cost. When I found Heap, it was a relief and quickly won me without question. What I struggled with my previous tool, I wasd able to make significant gains with Heap in as little as few minutes. Its automated event tracking, retroactive event notifications, and a easy user-based reporting were the things that made me fall in love with Heap. The best thing with Heap is their fair pricing tier which vary by frequency of visits and traffic size without giving up any features.
CONS: As a Heap user, there's nothing to hate about it. But it'd be nice if there was a way to make things easily manageable and getting defined events organized when using varying domains. Instead of showcasing a combination of events, it'd make things a lot simpler if it involved certain extended and descriptions on which property/domain such events belong to. That way you can easily spot them and making the necessary applications.
Capable of delivering value on prop, althought its UX needs some work.

PROS: I feel a bit of peace knowing Heap has the ability to capture events on my current client's lead capture as well as e-commerce sites. Heap gets rid of the problem of getting things instrumented really well when you encounter an online issue. At times, interpolating data to comprehend a result can take up a lot time. Heap takes care of things by defining a certain event funnel and being able to comprehend its real-time performance. I've used this product for a limited time and I was blown aaway with what I discovered.
CONS: It'd be a big help if Heap gave out more suggestions key site events for monitoring. It would've been a lot easier to comprehend previous and post events that may potentially be related to an event funnel. Reporting also entails the use of folders or a structured organization.

PROS: Being able to have everything labelled manually is probably the biggest upside. Taking the usual route in asking developers to include an item track in code is a long and restrictive process. Being able to find just about everything need in Heap by button labelling, page views, and clicks is flat out amazing. It's a why-didn't-I-think-about-this-in-the-first-place idea. It's UI is really simple and lets you mix up original data -- the smart way.
CONS: There's no such thing as a perfect analytics platform, so don't expect it do everything for you easily. Certain actions entail the need to include them in custom. An example would be things that can't be fixed (ex. completion of a profile). I also found out that some things are better off when reported somewhere else. This is just nitpicking for my part.
Analysis that’s very effective yet so easy!

PROS: Being co-founder of a startup, our team wanted a simple (and free) solution for learning further on user activitity in our app. We're already making use of Segment for capturing server-side activity for a number of reasons. Getting the integrated connection set up to Heap was easy to do. We couldn't be any happie when we included page events. Many thanks to Heap!
CONS: At present, there aren't any math functions to average or sum usage statistics. Exporting to a spreadsheet format is a breeze. It would be nice if it had pre-installed capabilities.
A product that offers clear engagement and exceptional insight in marketing conversion.

PROS: Being able to extract funnel reports within a minute. Before using Heap, we had to use Google Analytics and had to make custom reports. I find Heap to be intuitive. I no longer depend on anyone tech-savvy whe going in and setting up a custom report. Now, I can just come in and make reports without any issue.
CONS: Easy sharing of events with your team members. I was hoping there would be e-mail sharing or sending to slack integration. It would be a plus to have free events or a knowledge base where Heap experts can help our marketing team walk through tips and tricks in building reports for guaranteed ROI proof.

PROS: I felt we have the ability to monitor the flow of users via our site as well as landing pages from varying domains without problems. Thanks largely to Heap, we can now look into user flows between our site, scale landing pages, and hand out forms that enables the identification of frictions. That way, we can make the necessary optimizations.
CONS: As someone who isn't really technical, a small learning curve is needed to be able to understand the functionality of the tool. The learning curve isn't overly difficult compared to solutions similar to it.
Perfect for any startup project manager.

PROS: I like who simple it can be in setting up events. The software's UI is easy and highly intuitive. Being a project manager, it's a perfect tool that lets me look into how our users interact with our online app. It also lets us make decisions on a product according to that. It's ideal for startups looking to expand since it's priced affordably.
CONS: Its learning curve that helps make the most of the benefit of data being collected is stew at best. Right now, I'm still figuring out how to define segments and running reports from them.

PROS: Being able to take in data points in a simpler manner from other systems (via Heap) API is of great value to our company. We're able to see and interact with data down the Sales funnel. No analytics tool in the market can do what this tool can. Its retroactive reporting lets us concentrate on giving the most optimal experience to users. This is better than running a number of possible reporting scenarios and doing numerous code changes to achieving them.
CONS: Some things that Heap can improve on is the management of saved reports. More reports should provide aggregate value numbers that are being provided.

PROS: It's way simpler to deal with compared to Google Analytics. As an all-around marketer, it's a big relief. Why? Because I barely have time to dig deep in studying Google Analytics comprehensively. Whenever I deal with Google's Analytics data, I'd have to put myself into hours of painful ordeal. I've yet to fully maximize Heap, but soon I will. From the looks of it, it's an impressive product!
CONS: Nothing at the moment. Although I wish they have some kind of tutorial videos available. I'd prefer if it were inside the dashboard. Specifically in every section. Don't count me off, but they do have tutorial videos. Unless you get to them via a newsletter, you'll have to look for them somewhere on the site or within the dashboard. Right now, I still have no idea where to find them.

PROS: Heap's own automated event tracking allows for easier analytics platform engagement. When the scripts are made available on the site, each data point is recorded and then hosed in Amazon Redshift. So whenever an event is included in the later going, it automatically extracts data from when the script was initially left on the page. It's a worthy functionality in case you lose track in adding events during the process of onboarding.
CONS: Its reporting dashboard needs a bit of improvement since it's not really intuitive compared to other platforms in the market. This is likely where Kissmetrics shines as it's a lot simpler to go deeper in their UI.
