What is HoneyBook?

Honeybook is an all-in-one business management solution that helps small businesses and freelancers organize their work activities, connect with their clients, and get paid on time.

Through HoneyBook, users such as freelance photographers and consultants can keep track of all their business appointments. They can communicate and schedule a meeting with their clients, send proposals, receive signed contracts, and many more.

Aside from its easy-to-use dashboard, HoneyBook also has other important features like electronic signature, expense tracker, organized calendars, and branded templates, which can showcase all the user’s accomplishments for future clients to see. Also, collecting pay online won’t be a problem because HoneyBook accepts payments from credit cards, debit cards, and bank transfers.

PROS: I bought and installed the product in just one day. The learning curve was fast and easy. I don't need to hire someone to help me manage my schedule. It's now more manageable for me to talk to clients and meet their demands.

CONS: Lack of features that I desire for my business. I’m big on customizations and templates but the thing is Honeybook falls short in this category.

PROS: With the help of Honeybook, I no longer have to struggle with my day to day tasks and schedules. All I have to do is input reminders into the system. It will automatically send me reminders, which is a big help for me. I have to admit that I lack organizational skills. Using Honeybook has made a lot of difference in the way I run my business and manage my clients.

CONS: There are small issues that pop up from time to time that affect how I do things in the office. One of the most common problems that I have is its inability to change or modify the proposal letter or contract's content once it's already saved in the database. It leaves you with no choice but to create another one from scratch, which I find very time-consuming. These types of restrictions are just some scenarios that make me think whether I should look for a better or product or continue using Honeybook.

PROS: It’s easier for me to communicate and build a collaborative working relationship with all my clients. I can easily access the application, view my pending tasks for the day, and start working on things that need urgent attention.

CONS: The service fee for card payments is quite high. Some of my clients complain about this charge, so I sometimes give them rebates so they won’t mind sending their payment directly to my Honeybook account.

PROS: It’s like having an online organizer and storage space all rolled into one. There is no need for me to do manual filing and deal with tedious paper works, invoices, and contracts. I can certainly do these things via Honeybook, and there is less hassle on my end.

CONS: They could probably consider adding a lot more features into the system. Currently, I am looking into revising some of my quotations and redesigning my online portfolio. I want to add a few creative touches, so having more template choices will be appreciated.

PROS: I’ve had past issues when it comes to managing tasks and workflows. This usually happens during peak season. However, there is no excuse to make mistakes or incur lapses. I’m glad that Honeybook provided me with a sound solution for my business. With its fantastic UI and functionality, I am confident that everything is well organized moving forward.

CONS: I find it a little expensive since my business isn’t that big enough yet. Plus, CC payment fees are too steep for most clients, so I have to resort to other local bank transfer options.

PROS: I love that this product is packed with excellent features that are essential to our business. You can quickly learn the product and organize your to-do list. Also, I can easily view my pending and ongoing tasks making it easier for me to prioritize things and respond to my clients promptly.

CONS: A product that has too many features also has its downsides. Most of these features are not being utilized properly. Some users find it too overwhelming, especially those who want to keep it simple for their business.

PROS: The layout of the product is so attractive and welcoming. The interface is very much organized, and the support group behind it awesome all the time. There wasn’t a time that they failed to help me resolve some issues.

CONS: There should be more scheduled system upgrades to keep the app updated with the latest version. Sometimes the old version causes the app to lag and become somehow glitchy, which causes users to feel frustrated, especially when they are in the middle of doing something important.

PROS: I now feel calmer and organized, even if I have a lot of things to accomplish. I rely so much on Honeybook to remind me of what I need to achieve on a day to day basis.

CONS: Minor issues that can be dealt with. Sometimes the app is loaded with too many notifications, so I need to make changes to the settings to hide them because it can be distracting at times.

PROS: It helped me create a centralized filing system for my business. Everything I need is in one place, so I don’t need to keep documents and receipts, which adds to my clutter. Everything is being done systematically, which most of my clients appreciate.

PROS: It’s an all in one package that every business deserves to have. There is no need to use other platforms and 3rd party apps to provide excellent customer service.

CONS: Better formatting features so I can create presentable proposals and letters for clients straight from the platform. Since this feature is not yet available, I would have to settle with word documents and transfer the content once it has been edited and formatted.

PROS: No need to file records, documents, and keep track of meetings/appointments manually. Honeybook allows you to input all of these things into the software, so everything is automated. You can easily send invoices as well as track and collect payments on time.

CONS: There is a particular feature that is meant for bookkeeping and cash management. I tried using it to help calculate each event's budget, but the tool is not giving me the results that I’m expecting.

PROS: There are so many things that I appreciate about Honeybook. One of them is a significant increase in my number of clients and inquiries for the last six months. Using the tool made it easier for me to promote my services to the people within my local community.

CONS: I am currently collecting card payments from clients using Honeybooks’ integrated system. My client and I find it steep to pay the transaction fee. Some clients have hesitations doing business with me again because of this, but I told them that their transaction is secure using this method. I hope that they can consider lowering the fees in the future.

PROS: I can do so many things in just one single platform. I can send emails, proposals, schedule payments, and book meetings using Honeybook. Using this keeps me on top of things by making sure that I prioritize my schedule and to-do list every day.

CONS: I love the idea that the vendor introduces more add ons; however, they have to make sure that it's working correctly. Some of the features are not yet fully functional or becomes glitchy, which causes more inconvenience to the customer's end.
