PROS: From seamless clinical workflow, dedicated account care, charting capabilities, automated registry reporting, to financial services and many more, NextGen provides a wide range of tools essential in the health care industry making it a product with great value. It even allows users to get more from it by integrating the software with other products.

CONS: Information display is not well organized. Templates are quite unwieldy.

PROS: My field of expertise is children behavioural health care and have been using NextGen EHR for many years. All agencies I’ve worked with including the current agency I’m working with are using this solution. It’s a good thing for me because I already know how to operate it and I find it really helpful and very easy to use. Also, all the important information required in my job is displayed on the platform’s main screen. And when there’s something specific I need to look for, searching is quick and easy.

CONS: The templates that my previous agency use is different from the ones my current agency utilizes. So despite my experience using the solution, I still need to spend some time and effort learning it. It is a bit inconvenient for me so I wish they offer a uniform version that all end-users can use.

PROS: The software is cloud-based which means the security is better and more reliable, the files are accessible anytime and anywhere, and it’s easy to retrieve medical files in case the need for it arise. I also like the free demonstration end-users receives before buying the product. It’s very helpful in getting started with the system. Lastly, our patients can already book their appointments through this platform so they don’t have to visit the hospital for that anymore.

CONS: The value does not justify its price. It’s pretty expensive yet the customer service is poor.

PROS: I love the wide range of tools and features available. There are ambulatory services which are helpful during emergencies and secure and reliable sharing functionalities which make it easier to share confidential information with patients as well as with other medical practitioners that also needs to access them. The online booking makes it easier to schedule appointments with clients. I also like the ability to connect the product with many other platforms, which definitely improves this solution’s value. Lastly, it’s easy to store and access files from any device because the solution is cloud-based.

CONS: The customer service takes forever to respond. I once had to seek help from other EHR software users just to fix our problem immediately. Aside from that, the pricing of the product is pretty high. It isn’t for small-scale healthcare service provider.

PROS: It is cloud-based which means it’s easier to access and view vital information on a single screen. It generally meets the modern medical practice which is becoming increasingly demanding. It’s reasonably priced and easy to use if you already have an experience using similar solutions.

CONS: We had some problems with templates creation and data display. It would be nice if they would look into those aspects from a user’s perspective and make improvements.

PROS: Billing has become more accurate. Before using this platform, we were using paper-based billing and it has cost the organization lots of money. It’s either because the papers were lost or the totals recorded were wrong. These problems were solved by NextGen EHR. We are now able to provide electronic billing, which is safer and more convenient to both the patients and the organization.

CONS: New users may find it quite difficult to use the platform, especially those with no experience using other similar products. It would be nice if the vendor will make this solution easier to understand for beginners.

PROS: No need to purchase separate systems for EHR, health data management, financial services and many more. NextGen Healthcare already brings almost everything we need in a single product. It’s very reliable and offers a lot more functionalities as well as benefits. It can be integrated with many other solutions, allowing us to do more, and provides mobile solutions which are very helpful when there’s an emergency. Its EHR solution is really great. We’re able to access and acquire patient’s information quickly, making it easier to make the right diagnosis and provide correct medication. All information or documents are stored in the cloud so we have peace of mind knowing everything is secured. The cloud storage also makes it possible to access necessary information anywhere and anytime. Lastly, the solution allowed us to give our patients an option to book appointments online.

CONS: You’ll need big budget to be able to purchase the product and deep knowledge to be able to make the most out of it. Also, the quality of their customer service is not so good.

PROS: The platform is very easy to use and offers many useful shortcuts which allowed me to perform tasks way faster. Generally, it has made my life as a pharmacy intern a lot easier.

CONS: Whenever I refill a prescription, the solution does not allow me to change particular Ndc’s for OTC products.

PROS: It’s a fast application with really great EHR tool and a lot more incredible features. The customer support is reliable.

CONS: The wide range of features available can be a bit overwhelming. There are some glitches but overall the application is still helpful and reliable.

PROS: We are able to provide quick yet accurate diagnosis and became more efficient. Also, the platform offers integration with a wide array of other tools which allowed us to accomplish more tasks efficiently. It’s the efficiency, reliability, and speed of the platform that convinced us to choose it over any other product.

CONS: I can say that it has a steep learning curve. There’s too much going on, too many functionalities to learn. It is hard but not impossible to learn. You just have to invest time and effort. At the end, it’s worth it.

PROS: First of all, we got a free demo which has helped us learn what the platform can do. Second, it got a web portal which allowed medical practitioners and hospitals to accommodate more patients. Lastly, it is integrated with lots of service providers. For example, it connects practitioners and patients to pharmacies which make it easier for everyone to get the prescribed medications.

CONS: Poor customer support, just like what everyone else has experienced. Got slow response from the customer support team. Aside from that, it’s pretty expensive compared to other similar solutions. But I find it quite reasonable considering the platforms wide service coverage. Not ideal for small-scale use.

PROS: We became more efficient. This platform can be used for multiple purposes like scheduling appointments, storing files, and accessing patient’s information with ease. I specifically like the ability to look up various files without having to get in and out of the solution.

CONS: The Citrix server occasionally stops working. But it’s just a minor issue and we usually are able to solve it immediately. Overall, this platform is still a valuable investment.

PROS: We find the customer support amazing and the platform itself incredible. Lots of features are available. Apart from the ability to easily store and access medical information, we are also able to provide clients e-prescriptions.

CONS: It can be too pricey for small organizations. Creating templates is quite challenging and time-consuming. It would be nice if they make it more straightforward. The information display also requires improvements.

PROS: We got great time working with their customer support. The platform is fast and reliable. It has helped us get more tasks done quickly. The e-prescription is particularly valuable because it has significantly improved the number of patients who seeks help from the hospital.

CONS: Information display is a bit lacking and needs to be improved. The templates are a bit cumbersome, wish they make it simpler. Also, it’s not easy to operate the solution. A background in IT will be of great help.

PROS: I think the best perk of using this solution is having all the health records stored in a secure and organized manner. Also, the integration is noteworthy. The app works with many leading systems like Citrix, Entrada, cti, LifeSigns, Microsoft to name a few.

CONS: There are plenty of functionalities so navigating the platform can be quite slow. It would also be great if the product developers would make data display more organized.

PROS: It makes it easier to perform key tasks related to clinical drugs including archiving telephone experiences, requesting referrals, giving e-prescriptions, outlining office visits, and many more. The quality of the application is remarkable and the customer support is excellent.

CONS: There are some issues with the updates but not really a deal-breaker. Apart from that, there are some difficulties when it comes to redoing layouts.

PROS: I love the wide range of tools and functionalities available. We don’t have to use multiple applications for EHR, billing, sharing medical information with patients and other medical practitioners, and many more. The ability to connect the application with a lot of different solutions is also incredible. It has further the platform’s value. The cloud storage gives more security. And since files including the patient’s medical records are stored in the cloud, we can easily access them whenever we need it. It helps doctors provide accurate diagnosis and prescription fast. Speaking of prescriptions, we can collaborate with pharmacies online to provide e-prescription services to patients, which is a lot easier. They don’t have to physically go to the hospital for it.

CONS: It’s costly. Not ideal for start-up clinics or small-scale business. Building templates is quite complicated. We need to click lots of buttons which is pretty tiring and time-consuming. The way information is displayed also requires improvements.
