PROS: OnBase gives the opportunity for the organizations to meet the needs of each department including Back office processes within Accounting and Finance, Human Resources, Legan etc. It is an easily configured and supported and lets you to begin with one department or solution and to expand as the time passes by, or your goals or budget allowance. It is extremely cheap, because of the paying of only what you use, giving you the change to grow according with your business. Model, design, develop and execute collaborative business process and case management solutions, for example: deal with documents, data etc. It is usable for lots of industries like including project management, customer service, incident reporting and resolution, compliance tracking, and IT/Customer Help-Desk.

CONS: OnBase has lots of features that are hard to configure, someone may say. But the truth is that OnBase is point-click configurable, which means that you can only buy it and make use of the modules and features according to your needs. Without the support of C-Level and Managers, the communicating can be so hard. This product have been classified as an expensive. But, having an experienced consultant or OnBase admin on contact, can help you to lower the cost managing the features that you need. If you have the right people for supporting ECM initiative at the beginning of the evaluation period is critical for insuring proper communication and confidence connected with the discovering, implementation and training phases. But, as document management rolls out, C-Level support helps you to hold the confidence.

PROS: We use OnBase Hyland for sorting out data and managing different content in our company, which is perfect for seamless content and process management tasks. It keeps all our contents in one safe storage as well, and we don’t need to worry about such files being corrupted. Also, it is easier to grab any info we need anytime from the platform.

CONS: OnBase is difficult to learn and use at first, and we experience some troubles with managing huge bulks of files. Digging through all of such files for a single document we need is inconvenient. And processing requests is a hassle. This causes bigger complications, especially in critical moments.

PROS: OnBase fits many of our company tasks which are great for scaling our business in many ways. The platform can also cater to a lot of software integration that makes it more robust. As a result, file storage, visualization, operation flow, and many other aspects of our business have become more efficient. This is truly one of a kind file management platform that is perfect for corporate use.

CONS: Form templates are problematic to use. I hope OnBase would improve this point for better convenience. Today, we resort to using other tools to get nice looking form templates.

PROS: It's a terrific tool for storing any electronic files, and it allows easy access to tons of stored documents. Browsing through its UI is very seamless, thus you’d find the document you need in an instant. Plus, it has high-quality display features that make viewing old files a great experience. In fact, it lets me comfortably view files from a few decades ago.

CONS: It is difficult to search for specific files when you use the provided item numbers. For example, you should type the exact combination of numbers for a file to show on the search, and the system doesn’t have a correction or suggestion of results. This is not a technical problem but is an actual feature of the app that causes a lot of hassle for us.

PROS: It can accommodate hundreds of various files and documents in a common hub. Searching and accessing such files is super-easy too, especially that we can open it anywhere and anytime.

CONS: Its UI looks unappealing and old, especially when compared to other cloud platforms. I hope it would receive upgrades in terms of aesthetics.

PROS: OnBase lets me manage different documents easily. I can upload them for secured storage. Then, I can easily retrieve them when needed, as well as share them with the right people conveniently.

CONS: Searching documents using group numbers is quite inconvenient. I also experience the documents loading sluggishly every now and then.

PROS: OnBase by Hyland is a program where you can store all data you want and forget about it. I deployed the platform many years are and I don’t even look at it anymore. I know my information is there and everything is secure. Its workflow engine is flexible and very easy to configure. I am able to use VB scripts when I want to extend and improve the functionality of the product. All the operations for document scanning, importing and retrieval are easy to set up. We are even able to create other custom forms that are based on the data we import from 3rd part systems .The one click deployment for rollout is easy to use.

CONS: SharePoint integration, this integration doesn’t work for our business, and we wasted thousands of dollars to make this integration usable. The price can be expensive but it is worth.

PROS: OnBase provides with great training tutorials, support and assistance. We use various modules and they are used by different departments. This platform is very helpful because we must keep documents available for public record requests. We use the Advanced Capture to get records into Onbase without indexing. We know that our records are secure, backed up and always available.

CONS: They need to create space for more administrators to set up all the requests and procedure for new documents.

PROS: Hyland is powerful and useful content management platform. When it comes to storage, manipulation and retrieval of data offers great solutions. You can easily integrate it with other processes and you can make it as important part of all those processes. Its support team is very responsive and helpful. They are easy to work with and respond in every situation. I highly recommend them to anyone who is interested in ECM solution.

CONS: We don’t have dislikes by now.

PROS: OnBase helps in making document management super convenient, such as for creating and storing sensitive files. It also has an electronic signature feature, in which each document receives receive unique e-signatures from beginning to end. Moreover, it makes structured and unstructured work operation seamless to follow. And it helps me save a lot of time from searching for specific documents since it lets me find needed items in no time.

CONS: I notice OnBase running very slow in some instances. Although, I suspect it is because of our unreliable internet connection, instead of an actual problem with the platform.

PROS: Hyland Onbase is a powerful product with more than 120 modules that will help you in managing any kind of document and information. You can easily and quickly make accessible the information to any social network whether it is web, hybrid, web service, API and many other. And what’s more, its workflow system offers more than 150 different options to tie a document lifecycle and this is very helpful because it provides you with any possible scenario in a business that needs to be realized. You can easily maintain the installation, but what is most important its price- it is very affordable system and yet expensive enough to demonstrate the strength the platform provides.

CONS: When it comes to features, my biggest complaint is a lack of refinement. Lack of focus on fixing bugs, and implementation of new features. Fixing bugs is great, but they need to be more focused on new features.

PROS: OnBase has the option for the documents to be stored in two locations for redundancy purposes, primary and secondary storage disk or platter. If a problem is found with file access, there is other file online on the second disk that OnBase synchronizes the two at the same time. The Users and Groups administration is easy to use. The database saves the configuration information there.

CONS: One issue is the way how OnBase manages the licenses. It is hard to discover how and who is licensed in a Citrix environment for a specific license type. Although OnBase is compatible with Citrix, there are parts where you cannot discover if a specific user locks the database. Troubleshooting can be a hard area to deal with, but when we were running OnBase in the traditional client server model, there were clearly shown references for licensing, but when we moved to the Citrix environment, we noticed this item. Hopefully the update will display and manage the licensing information better, we are on OnBase 12 at the moment.

PROS: OnBase helps us to manage our workflows, to import and use the data. Its search engine is fast and accurate. It provides great integration with Outlook. We use the Unity Client which is very intuitive and customizable for everyone. Its support service is always responsive and you will be provided with answer to all your requests regarding the system.

CONS: Licensing can be expensive, not all of them but some. There is a lack of information with Document Import Processor.

PROS: OnBase offers great strategy and place for organizing, configure, store and creation of documents. User-friendly app with great functionalities. Provides trainings for every kind of agencies, and this is really helpful for our staff and other agencies we are working with.

CONS: As someone who is web developer and programmer I found some things that are really frustrated. As a programmer I am taught to think ‘outside of the box’ and to find efficient ways to solve issues. About OnBase I have to say that the configuration is limited, they could simply check in Java or in any program language so they can solve the issue. I am forced to take extremely large route to achieve simple output.
