Panorama Necto Review

PROS: What we wanted was to provide our business users with a capable front-end tool, having in mind that we work with a mature data warehouse and several OLAP cubes related to it. Instead of loading our business and IT team with requests, we wanted to give users a self-service BI, but it was not just enough to discover an effective one-we wanted the tool to be modern and innovative, and that's exactly how we came across Necto. We loved it from the very first moment, as it provided multiple social features for collaboration, the same as a subscription option and content-based discussions. As the 'brain' behind the operation, we were surprised by its power to identify suspicious exceptions in our data and to notify us upon them, including inventory lacks, revenue drops, and the causes behind them. You're probably wondering how this is possible, but the truth is that he issue is very simple: we log in, make a threshold for exceptional behavior (when should data be considered exceptional and which warning symbols should appear in the cells to notify us about it). As expected, the tool is powerful enough to extract data from various sources (Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, Teradata, OLAP cubes, Salesforce, etc), but what is really impressive in the case is the simplicity of the process. It also has unique infographics due the fact that those are created directly from the users, meanin that KPIs is fairly advanced. Finally, mobile support is admirable (I didn't find a single difference between the mobile and the desktop version!), and I think that's a real blessing for employees that travel a lot.

CONS: Have in mind that the tool is not supporoted by Blackberry and it is not compatible with Macs. When deciding, take language into consideration, since the tool doesn't offer multiple languages. Besides, it is not the most predictive analytic tool, assuming that's what you're looking for. Overall, I am very satisifed, but I believe the product needs improvements, especially with customization features which are complex and limited in number.

PROS: My work consists in analyzing data and creating management reports, and I've used multiole products to do it. Necto 15 is an exceptional moment in my career, due to few amazing features I'm going to mention: Necto is easy, to say so. I use it to generate professional and good-looking reports, but what is really impressive about it is that the tool itself provides suggestions for imporvement, that one I didn't really expect. I like the visualization options and the info graphics, the specific comment feature that I never saw before, the small, yet active user community, and the reliable support. The tool is integrated with more sources than I expected (SQL Server, for example), and content can be easily shared with all users for effective collaboration. As if all of this was not enough, the price is really affordable, one that would surprise small companies that believe they could never afford such a functional tool on their desks.

CONS: It supports no other operational system than Windows, I think that's a considerable disadvantage for a modern BI tool. The other drawbacks are not that meaningful, but for the sake of mentioning few, there is no downloadable trial edition one could use to get an insight before the final purchase; and there are no documented instructions that would explain features in a more throughout way than the videos do.

PROS: A piece of visual delight I'd say, really. It is almost impossible to impress me, having in mind that I am an expert in data visualization, but the comprehensive, visually-appealing Necto-15 package blew me off! Being web-hosted, Necto 15 met all of my expectations and requirements, unlike other products that promised rapid data visualization, but didn't accomplish that at all. Another characteristic that makes the Necto experience so special is its intuitiveness, enriched with features such as drag-and-drop, and an incredibly easy understanding of its multiple innovative features. It is really unbelievable how a centralized hosting platform can be so simple, and yet perform everything that is expected from it. I am a fan of every single feature, but I think that data analytics is where the platform effectively exposes most of its power: it accepts and understands multiple formats, being able to categorize them, and to apply different fitting strategies for each with only few dashboard clicks. Even this time I'd emphasize the astonishing looks of the product, its minimalist color scheme and advanced map features. The reason why I'd recommend it the most is that I believe BI collaboration is the future of visualization domains and data science, and Necto has solid ground to become the leader in all aspects.

CONS: Nothing so special or worth of mentioning. I had a clear-cut list of expectations and requirements, and Necto dealt with all of them. I couldn't possibly ask for more than what I am getting now.

PROS: I'm sure everybody likes Panorama Necto, which is normal when working with such a rich and powerful tool. The variety of features is just awesome, nothing like simple support bars and pie charts from my previous programs. The chat radar is much more meaningful now, including pareto, scatter, doughnut, range, boxplot, and many others. Collaboration is powerful and accessible as well, it takes a single click to contact relevant users and to discuss content with them. The dashboard is suggestive as you'd never expect a program to be, and I rely on its auto insight completely. Handles errors in an exceptional manner, I really like that. I mean...I like everything!

CONS: It is really good to have all those gadgets, but they make the dashboard look a bit complicated and scarry at the beginning. While this is something one wouldn't mind that much, Panorama Necto has limited support for Windows installation and big data analysis, large organizations should really have that in mind.

PROS: Panorama Necto is the perfect combination of intuitiveness and effectiveness, and turns even most complex analytics into a piece of cake. I love the variety of features I can work with, especially the graphic templates, easy connection and collaboration with colleagues, improved analytics, and mostly-amazing sales reports that reveal what each agent has been doing. Infographics are highly customizable, meaning that I can modify them for every task my boss assigns me, while the cloud service makes it possible to access data in all situations. Finally, I must mention their responsible customer team which supported us with instructions and detailed explanations.

CONS: I am not able to participate in any user community, and I think that sharing experience is a valuable strategy in our sector. The support team has been great and everything, but one can't expect them to adjust their product to specific business requirements, that's where an experienced user would be most valuable. Linux support is also missing, and some colleagues are struggling to draw graphics on Kubuntu 14.10.

PROS: I couldn't write everything I like here even if I wanted, so let's stick to the most important advantages: Panorama Necto is simple and easy to use, meaning that complex BI reports can be configured by people with minimal technical skills. By complex reports, I mean reports including all sorts of charts, since Necto is packed with advantageous solutions that put afront the quality of this product. Very detailed, very accurate, able to product captivating info graphics. Provides for exception notifying, social discussion and collaboration, and integration with Microsoft share point. Set up is easy (there are great tutorials!), and price is fair. What more could a person wish for?

CONS: I don't need Linux/Mac integration myself, so I'm not sure whether they have it, check this before you decide for this product. What I personally mind is that there is no integration with Hadoop.

PROS: I like many things, but mostly the ability to foresee data trends, and to find and extract the exact infographics I need. The product is socially empowered, and makes it quite easy to share and discuss content with collaborators, regardless of where they are. It is enough for the user to subsribe, and he will be able to access any piece of content stored in the library. One thing that was really important for my work was creating reports, and I feel pleased to use Necto's detailed and customizable dashboard to do it. The Automated Insight and Exception Tracking are just perfect for the needs of our management team, since they get a notificaton concerning any exceptional process.

CONS: It is not multi-lingual, that's really a problem for our international partners. Besides, it supports only IE 8.0 and 9.0, and it doesn't comply with Mac and BlackBerry. It is well-integrated, but certain connectors are still missing.

PROS: For me, Panorama Necto is a forerunner among BI software competitors, and I believe that my job profile (exhaustive BI comparison) allows me to claim this. There are many features that make Necto stand out, and the most striking among them is simplicity. Necto is one of those tools that will make training costs disappear, assuming you're already working with an experienced BI team. Further advantages are powerful and interactive geo analytics, a reliable support team, valuable small BI applications, stabile integration with multiple sources, and absolute focus on end-user facilitation.

CONS: I don't exactly dislike things, but I believe that as every young tool, Panorama Necto has a lot of room to improve. For instance, I expect user communities to grow and develop the same way the product does, and I believe it should (and will!) be integrated with Hadoop. Together with this, I think that each user should be able to use evaluation copies from his local machine.

PROS: I am a current user of Panorama Necto 14 software, and I am writing this review to point out that it is the best BI tool avaulable on the market. Features are outstanding, set up is cofigurable and user-friendly (very valuable for inexperienced data analyists), and price is respectable. I use Necto for generating reports, dashboards, info graphics, scatters, and charts, and I'm quite aware I'm using a product that made a revolution in the BI world, the same as my other colleagues. Besides, Necto is not just functional-it provides for amazing visualization, I think not many BI tools can boast with the same. Its reporting is a story of its own-you see what is wrong, and why, and you know the bugs that impact business the most, which allows you to focus on them at the first place. Precision and presentation were a priority for the PN dev team, one can see that from simply entering the program. Effective integration and collaboration are other reputable advantages, because powerful data processing would be worth nothing had you failed to extract that data properly. The advantage of having everything packed in a single product is just amazing. I almost forgot to mention the tool is genuinely user frinedly, but I guess you already expected that.

CONS: Unlike most users, I'm not that jar dropped from product support, it might be that I had unfeasible demands, but I don't think they're able to deal with every issue. Scalability with Mac and Blackberry is an issue too, one that has to be sorted out soon. Linux, on the other hand, is possible, but very complicated to install. Everything else is fine.

PROS: I love the 'rocket speed' of this tool, I've never been able to collect valuable metadata from multiple sources in seconds before. I also love the charming infographics this program can create, they look so rich and professional that I think every person would felt even more motivated to do his work by only looking at the program. Between other things, I love how I can create, publish, and share content, and the fact that I can involve as many people as necessary in complex analysis. It is indeed a collaboration asset, especially valuable when you need access to different databases.

CONS: I don't think that our file management systems hadoop and bigdata are properly connected with the program, that could definitely be improved. That's the only remark I have, everything apart of it is perfect. The product is perfectly ready to use, and has a great potential to develop and to become even more advanced in future.
