You can create and publish dashboards, then sharing them with partners, colleagues, or customers—but without the need for programming skills. If you’re already using a Tableau Service (Tableau Online or Tableau Server), there will be no obstacles to let data flow seamlessly from one platform to the other.

Tableau Desktop is a self-service analytics solution that allows you to look at data and answer questions rapidly. Tableau Server enables you to publish dashboards from your Tableau Desktop on any web browser or mobile-based device.

Overview of Tableau Benefits

Tableau offers many unique benefits to its users, and according to satisfied companies, help analyze data in a way which drivers decisions in a profitable direction. But how does this exactly happen? Here are the most prominent Tableau benefits you should know about:

Connection to various data sources

To start with, Tableau’s productivity suite allows you to connect it to a number of data sources you’re already using, import and visualize data in a matter of minutes. Thanks to the modernized technology and speed of operation, the company claims to have developed a 1o to 100 times faster data analysis mechanism than the one its competitors can offer.

Intuitive and easy interface

For such a powerful system, Tableau is incredibly easy to use, and makes it possible to bring data for analysis with few simple drag-and-drop moves. This means that the product is intuitive even for non-savvy users, and doesn’t take time, programming knowledge, or expensive training for teams to get grasp on it.

Advanced collaboration

Collaboration features are also included to facilitate group analytics, and ensure that all team members are on the same page. Most of Tableau’s functionality is collated on a public dashboard, where users can access and process data with only few clicks. The best part about it is the devoted mobile app for different devices which ensures activities can be completed regardless of the agent’s location. Then, agents can use the same application to share their achievements and invite colleagues to collaborate.

Several methods for data investigation

Tableau investigates data in many different ways, starting with large, traditional dashboards, and ending up with complex cloud-based source explorations. Instead of conducting analyses with a single method, the user can combine approaches and data views to make insights richer. At the end, all conclusions are showcased in comprehensive data visualizations, made so simple that you can easily share them with clients and partners from different industries.

Flexible pricing & deployment

Tableau gives users the possibility to choose whether they want to deploy it in cloud or on their local servers, and offers annual subscriptions and single-payment licenses to meet the capacity of different companies. It is thanks to this flexible policy that Tableau is made accessible to businesses from all scales and industries.

Reliable support

Since each organization has specific business needs, it is advisable for them to refrain from searching for a one-size-fits-all perfect software system. Needless to say, it would be useless to try to find such an app even among market-leading software applications. The smart thing to do would be to jot down the various essential aspects that need consideration such as main features, finances, skill levels of workers, company size etc. Then, you should do your homework thoroughly. Read some Tableau reviews and check out each of the other apps in your shortlist in detail. Such comprehensive research can make sure you discard ill-fitting systems and zero in on the system that provides all the features you require for business success.

Pros:
Tableau Is easy to set-uo and building charts and graphs is simple process and help you to track trends on transaction data. I like that they constantly update and improve the product. It provides active user community where you can ask questions, search and find solutions quickly. You can share the results with other colleagues. This is wonderful solution for analysis and charting without using Excel or work on some clunky UI.

Cons:
When it comes to reading large data sets the software can be very slow and there are some issues with formats and it requires using some complicated cod in formulas for data formats, this can be ver time-consuming. Also, the color palette is not best and sometimes it doesn’t allow you to import company’s branding. Furthermore, editing of fonts is hard to automatically apply to different charts once they are built.
