What is TimeWriter?

TimeWriters is XSO’s smart solution for efficient tracking and registration of working hours. The system is simple and offers user-friendly navigation, as it displays all hour entries at a single glance. In fact, TimeWriter’s handy calendar collates and stores all inserted information for further usage.

At the same time, it allows you to customize tracking according to your own rules, and to detect trends and pull out reports withing the same platform. The company will also offer you a free demo where you can test each of these functionalities, or extend them to meet the specific needs of your business. XSO’s TimeWriter was designed mostly for small companies, but has a Pro version with additional viewpoint and access flexibility that suits even enterprise-grade users. The software is also available for free in a single-user version.

Both modules of the system are complete time tracking and budget monitoring solutions, and include week grids, user fields, and team work possibilities. Advanced features such as authorizations, functional roles, stopwatch, or week lists are only available in the standard and professional plan.

As for system requirements, TimeWriter will need Windows XP or Mac OSX 10.8 or higher. It is available in English and Dutch, and allows database access for both web and mobile clients. Users are the ones who decide whether they want to deploy the system locally, or use it in cloud. The price remains the same in both cases.

The variety of time-saving entry possibilities are both flexible and professional, and won’t require you to undergo steep learning curves in order to track your working hours, manage leaves, or do some basic budgeting. As a professional user, you can define your reports, add extra information to them lock and approve expenses, and even add pivot tables.

Another distinctive benefit you shouldn’t neglect is offline time tracking, where the three standard viewpoints are replaced by five advanced timekeeping viewpoints. Both in the case of online and offline tracking, access rights and roles can be assigned to individuals and groups, and managers are supposed to approve them.

Finally, TimeWriter offers attractive pricing suitable for all businesses, and offers a variety of yearly subscriptions depending on the number of users you wish to include. As we already mentioned, individuals can use this system for free.
