PROS: Easy to use system, from the front of the house to back office use

CONS: Customer support is terrible. Have 5 iPads and were told to keep them plugged in with their chargers since they trickle charge. Now all of my iPads are separating from the screens and will not hold a charge and keep going off line. One person informed us that we should keep them plugged in and another said we shouldn’t. They will not take responsibility for the repair. This system has been a nightmare since we’ve had it

PROS: It is very easy to use. Copying and changing items can be done without any problem. Products are also easy to find and changing payment methods can be done within seconds. Our staff also found it easy to learn how to use.

CONS: Better back-end reports will be appreciated. Also, we experienced difficulties using its offline mode. This problem needs immediate fixing.

PROS: Front end is super easy to use and very easy to navigate. The chat support is very helpful and they can almost always help solve whatever issues you may have.

CONS: The back end billing can sometimes be a mess due to (i think) the poor integration between breadcrumb and upserve. There are multiple different payment platforms that do not coordinate with each other.

PROS: Upserve POS is a cloud-based system. This proved to be very useful because even if I'm not at the restaurant, I can still update or change the menu items. The platform also helps you pinpoint areas of opportunity so improving your sales became an easy task for us. And most importantly, their support team is very helpful.

CONS: The offline mode is quite difficult for us, especially during peak hours. Having only one iPad that has all our menu is not ideal as it can be quite confusing to keep track of everything. We have to create duplicate items in order to resolve this problem, making it difficult to track reports. Discounted items that are not scheduled to appear yet, also appear when you search it. This makes it hard for our servers.

PROS: Because it is cloud-based, I can change or add items remotely. This is a very useful feature as I can still track my business even if I'm away. It also has great updates that proved to be very useful as we use Upserve POS. PROS: The customer service employees are some of the best I have ever come across. They are extremely informative, helpful and efficient. They are personable in the sense that they can adapt their tones of voice to make you more comfortable. The system itself has a search option on the menu portion, allowing you to ring up products quickly.

CONS: The Offline Mode would thrive with a feature that could allow the customers to tip. Even though you can ask and go in on the back end and enter it, it would make employees feel less awkward.

PROS: Breadcrumb is very easy to use. It takes about a half hour to train new users which is wonderful with new hires. There is very little downtime and when there is, offline mode works well.

PROS: I love all the backend reporting features of Upserve. It\'s really robust and helps me manage our restaurant by staying in touch with labor, best selling items, etc. Also their customer service is fantastic. I asked a question through the chat feature and they answered my question and resolved my issue within 5 minutes.

CONS: The KDS has some quirky things that make tickets re-fire in certain circumstances.

PROS: For restaurants with dedicated servers, this company has amazing analytics about what your servers are selling and who your best sellers are.

CONS: If you have multiple servers accessing a single tab, the analytics are inaccurate as the ticket gets assigned to the individual closing the tab, not those that added product to it. There isn't a report for "No Sale" drawer opens. This is such an easy fix. I'm not sure why it isn't there.

PROS: My favorite part about Upserve is the app that I use on my phone. I get live sales information, including labor, voids, and discounts. I am better able to manage labor and find out about deletions. I can also compare sales to the prior week or year, so it gives me a good idea of how we're doing, and allows us to project sales and manage labor better.

CONS: I think that our overall credit card merchant processing fees are high, and customer service is not always immediately available or able to respond to requests.

Now all of my iPads are separating from the screens and will not hold a charge and keep going off line. One person informed us that we should keep them plugged in and another said we shouldn’t.
