PROS: Webtrends has great integration that is highly customizable. Also, there are nice story boards for tracking changes in trends. It can be integrated with Facebook and other social media apps, these integrations provide important insights on how all these apps are being used. We are able to import data directly into excel, the dashboard is always ready and up-to-date because we use automatic update of the source file. The optimize platform is powerful tool and has an ability to generate high ROI running AB/MVT. This optimize service comes with dedicated consultant that will run the whole CRO program for you. You can even use the WYSIWIG tool so you can develop the advantage for business dealing with some sensitive and specific data. Allows you to follow traffic activities and campaign performances with detailed visualization and an ability to take actions when needed. With WebTrends platform you will get 24/7 customer service, unlimited custom reports, options to recall data and AB testing on emails without using javascript integrations.

CONS: Webtrends has great amount of tools and options so it’s not easy to use.

PROS: Webtrends has great content groups and circular selections, you can find all these features under “Navigation & Content”. They help in collecting the data by using specific categories from website and analyzing data from specific pieces of content. This is my personal experience with Webtrends.

CONS: I found that he export reports are difficult to use, they require some plug-ins installation. It would be great if they could make a quick excel pull. The segmentation feature cannot be found in basic product, it would be great if we can see the data with some specific conditions.

PROS: There are many things that I love in WebTrends, such as the access on premises and hosted cloud versions. It offers segmentation and customization of tools. I am able to create reports for specific activity. Also it provides great amount of documentation online and an ability to rerun some historical logs so I can find new insights. I use API to export data. They have responsive and knowledgeable customer support team.

CONS: They need to work on their premise version because it can be buggy sometimes. They also need to implement some steep learning courses for newbies. I want to see updates on keywords configuration files. Also, they could repair the Funnel and Scenario reports. In last several years there are no new on-premise version releases.

PROS: With webtrends we are able to track segmentation, scenarios, and drop-off and bounce rate, and to purchase funnel. I love that it integrates with 3rd party analytics data and includes app-stores, Twitter, YouTube, and Facebook.

CONS: To be honest, it doesn’t provide statistical data for analysis and doesn’t not identify multi-visit users. We have to use Streams so we can create proactive Care response team, and to resolve some issues. Also, the product support is only available in Care Plan.

PROS: There are great things within Webtrends, such as support team, implementation consultants, they are more responsive and knowledgeable. They are really helpful when it comes to web analytics and creating solutions. It is easy to work with them.

CONS: The implementation that I have used wasn’t optimal, but I believe this wasn’t Webtrends’ fault but the fault of our team organization, each group had different and separate reporting profile. It wasn’t possible to follow user. But at the end, the Webtrends came up with solutions so we can overcome the issue but with additional cost. They could implement an optimal solution instead allowing the silo-ed approach.

PROS: We can integrate WebTrends analytics with Marin Software to manage the paid search campaigns. Great tool and provides all functionalities like Marin Software but through the Webtrends interface. It has great UI and it is easy to use. I am able to customize big rules by using objectives and to set multiple folders for PPC campaigns. I can pull the keywords from an ad group into bidding folder. It’s better to select the architecture by performance in order to get granular bidding strategy.

CONS: I don’t like that the Marin/Webtrends integration is put in a tiny menu at the bottom of the page. It only shows campaigns, keywords and ad groups within data range, but to get everything into Google account you need to search for the hidden button. It cannot be find easily.

PROS: WebTrends and its team made everything to meet our needs. The analytics platform works great, especially when it is implemented properly. We use the Visitor Data Mart and Optimize capabilities, but this latest version provides many features that are the best in the web optimization market. I will give a good rate to WebTrends.

CONS: When running the Optimize we know we don’t do too much self-service and the hourly cost is associated with this one. Also, the premises of capabilities are not realized before new version is implemented. I don’t know if this is an issue with other vendors.

PROS: Webtrends offers powerful user friendly interface that is really intuitive and easy to set up. I have watched the Webtrends evolve over the years, but in my opinion the platform is standard. The interface makes sense to me especially when I cannot find something with the platform.

CONS: I think that Webtrends was the leader but it has lost its followers. When this platform was number one in the market it was much easier to connect with others and to get new specific ideas and ways how to do things. I am sure that some people don’t even know about this analytics tool.

PROS: Webtrends provide easy analytics and allows us to go deeper into each piece of data. We are even able to see all correlations and causation for different kinds of metrics and KPIs. It is a platform that meets our expectations. It is great to have some options on Google Analytics, SEO Clarity, and Omniture. Also, I really enjoy the usability without losing more advanced functionalities. It is easy to use and it can be used by almost everyone.

CONS: When I started with this platform the interface was confusing, but it provides great tools after all. Also, it took me some time to learn the graphical data presentation, but on the other hand, the graphical interface is complete, time-saving and easy to set up. I am happy that I finally learned how to use this interesting product.

PROS: The Webtrends’ team were always responsive, knowledgeable, and always ready to help. They were very perceptive to every feedback and they will do everything to find right solutions to my analytics needs. We had an access to some things that we couldn’t find and see with Google Analytics. We had various contacts who were helpful.

CONS: We constantly had to invest in more and more WebTrends resources so we can be sure that we have the right custom reports for our company. The price was the biggest obstacle, and they required to implement some tracking changes.
