Joomla! is a free, open-source content management system (CMS) software designed to help both novice and expert web developers build websites. It is a flexible and user-friendly platform written in PHP and utilizes Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) techniques to streamline digital publishing and collaboration. Besides, the platform is developed on the innovative model-view-controller (MVC) web application framework that allows developers to build powerful online applications.
Joomla! provides thousands of free templates and extensions that empower web developers to create websites that fit their specific needs. In addition, Joomla! is mobile-friendly, search-engine optimized, and multilingual (supports over 70 languages). Small businesses, nonprofits, government, and large organizations, use Joomla! to create, manage, organize, and publish content.
Show MoreFree platform
Joomla! is free to use under the GPL license. The application is created and maintained by an ecosystem of well-versed developers, system administrators, designers, and support personnel. However, being free doesn’t mean Joomla! has limited capability. The platform provides thousands of high-quality templates (free and paid), world-class support, and tons of other useful features.
Easy to use
In addition, Joomla! is a robust yet lightweight PHP framework designed to enable developers to build websites and command line applications. Its framework offers a flat learning curve, making it easy to extend and customize this CMS to your needs. The Joomla! website templates come with a graphical user interface that allows you to change fonts, colors, features and layouts without coding. Moreover, Joomla! provides a wealth of documentation and videos training that make learning a breeze.
SEO-friendly
Joomla! provides powerful search engine optimization (SEO) features. Features such as keywords and metadata, mod_rewrite support for SEF URLs, and menu creation, make Joomla! an SEO-friendly solution. In particular, Joomla! menu creation helps you create a consistent sitemap. When a menu item or an article is added, Joomla! automatically creates an alias for its original PHP string. This ensures the links to the article are friendly to both the user and social engines.
Show MoreKnowing that companies have distinct business wants, it is rational that they steer clear of picking a one-size-fits-all, ideal software product. However, it is nearly futile to try to find such an app even among recognizable software products. The reasonable thing to do is to set down the different key factors that demand consideration such as essential features, pricing, skill capability of the employees, business size, etc. Then, you should follow through the research systematically. Browse over these Joomla! evaluations and explore the other software systems in your shortlist in detail. Such comprehensive product research ensures you steer clear of unsuitable software solutions and buy the one which has all the function your business requires to achieve growth.

It's crucial to realize that almost no service in the Content Management Systems category is going to be an ideal solution able to fulfill all the requirements of all company types, sizes and industries. It may be a good idea to read a few Joomla! Content Management Systems reviews first as certain software may dominate just in a very narrow set of applications or be designed with a very specific type of industry in mind. Others may function with a goal of being easy and intuitive and as a result lack complicated functions welcomed by more experienced users. You can also come across software that focus on a broad group of users and offer a complex feature toolbox, however this in most cases comes at a more significant cost of such a solution. Ensure you're aware of your needs so that you choose a solution that offers all the elements you look for.

PROS: I like how I can add so many elements on my webpage using Joomla. It's more of an intermediate-level webpage editor, where there are specific areas for coding, or for items that are more common including pictures, hyperlinks, color, and font. It's great for those who don't have much experience with coding and can still build a credible website.
CONS: There are bugs that could be improved on, like making sure changes are saved, coding can be clearer, avoiding broken hyperlinks. It could also be a slow server, I'm not sure.
