Qlik Sense Review

PROS: Qlik Sense is a user-friendly, intuitive, extremely functional tool for data management and visualization. It's easily customizable and can cater to different people with varying levels of data literacy. I love navigating through the app and try its different features which I found very helpful -- charts, data search, data filtering, and data exporting. It also helps us in strategizing because we have clear data for basis.

CONS: I think the app can still be improved in terms of design and visualizations, sharing options, and commenting!

PROS: One thing I really appreciate about this tool is how adaptable and flexible it is. Thanks to its ability to utilize a number of data sources, we don't have to spend more on a data warehouse.

CONS: I think they can improve when it comes to evaluation tools. I'd like to be able to know which fields aren't being used by apps so I can improve performance by removing those fields. There are also a number of people who use this within the company, and I would really appreciate a more efficient way of controlling those different app versions.

PROS: Qlik Sense gives its user complete control of all the data it collected and stored. It's an effective data solution for different kinds of businesses. It has numerous functions that improve your knowledge and data management such as connecting to different data sources, highly technical and robust scripting areas, and in-memory data models. It also clearly shows relationships of data and trends which helps us in our decision-making to grow our business.

CONS: The visualizations may vary when viewing it in different screens. I hope the developers can make it more adaptive and consistent. It can also be improved in terms of its predictive analytics and connectors.

PROS: Qlik Sense is an important tool to promote data literacy and data reliance within our network. It's an intelligent app that allows us to gather data from different sources, compile these data, and present them through smart visualizations. We were able to create one large data model through this app.

CONS: This app needs to improve its alert features.

PROS: Qlik Sense is amazing in preparing, managing, and presenting data. It really helps you package your data from different sources into awesome visuals.

CONS: Customizations are a little limited. Changing colors, fonts, and layout is not possible especially when collaborating with another user.

PROS: Qlik Sense has been really helpful to us in understanding and analyzing important data needed for our work. I love that it can gather date from various sources and collate it in a clear and comprehensible manner. I can even choose which data to display or share.

CONS: It can be improved by making the interface more user-friendly, adding more SQL language, and allowing more third-party integrations. It would be perfect if they allow integrating ESRI GIS.

PROS: I really appreciate how the tool is generally so user-friendly. Dashboards can be set up pretty quickly, and the language for scripting isn't so complicated, so I can manipulate it to do what I need it to. This is really great especially when I have to look through extracted data and clean them. I also like how easy it is to create charts with this tool since the user interface is drag and drop. All I need to do is drop relevant fields and drop them in the chart. You only really need to study up when you want to produce more complicated expressions.

CONS: I generally like it when a product is updated regularly, but I do have to point out that when this product upgrades, there are a few bugs that come along with it. I do appreciate the new features that come with the upgrade, but this would be even better if I didn't have to get in touch with the support team just to get an update on what to do with the bugs.

PROS: I think it is a really powerful and user-friendly tool that is great at visualizing data. Even when dealing with a volume that amounts to millions, I've been able to zoom in and out of the data. Reports and dashboards can be produced really quickly, and if it's just a very basic report you can expect it to be ready in literally minutes. It does this even if there are different platforms it needs to go to collect the necessary files.

CONS: I do love this tool but there are things it can do better. I would really appreciate quicker loading time when it comes to script loading as well as when it comes to opening apps and hubs. I would also like to be able to apply filters, even when I stop the data processing. Currently, when I stop the processing of a huge volume of data, it also stops my ability to filter data as well. It's not possible for me to go with a sample size that is smaller and then run the data processing on it. I'd like to see these improvements in future versions of the tool.

PROS: Qlik Sense offers customizable and flexible visualizations. Both the Desktop/Enterprise and cloud versions offer good features. The intuitive drag and drop interface is easy to use and you can create useful graphics quickly and easily.

CONS: The app is not suitable for big data. It functions great with small data sets but is very slow in processing big data.

PROS: You can create fully customizable dashboards with just a bit of transformation and querying experience. Plus, if you have the knowledge you can create robust integrations with the app.

CONS: The user interface is slow and becomes even more sluggish when processing large datasets.

PROS: One thing that I really enjoy about this tool is that all their upgrades seem to stem from user feedback, so you know that any improvements made really are the ones needed. They also do it pretty regularly -- every three months I hear about another upgrade to the product. It really makes me feel good about future versions of this tool that will come out.

CONS: They are missing some data integration tools that should have been part of the software in the first place. While other similar tools already have existing connectors, I need to either implement a REST API code or use a custom connector just so the data can be connected.

PROS: Highlights of the software are the cool maps, interactive dashboards, and quick analysis. The app gives me the ability to connect to databases and on the server to refresh data. I rate Qlik Sense as the best data discovery and data visualization system in the market. Qlik Branch is excellent too and it offers useful extensions for our dashboards. My company’s top management simply adore Qlik Sense.

CONS: There is a lot of room for improvement. The connect editor could be made smarter. Sometimes there is failure of the data load on the servers. It is difficult to understand how the system joins multiple datasets. The data load editor is not easy to use. Finally, the app lacks a sharable repository on the cloud.

PROS: We use Qlike Sense for collaboration and visualization, and the best part is I can lead the self-service efforts.

CONS: The app only works on 64-bit machines. The vendor should make it work on 32-bit machines also.

PROS: The strengths of Qlik Sense are the fast way to build data analysis, reports, and data visualizations, the effective sharing method, cloud sharing with everyone, and good integration options.

CONS: There are a few minus points. First, there is limited free usage. Second, it is initially difficult to understand the architecture as help is not readily available and accessible. The mobile apps are hard to use. Finally, you cannot alter the language settings.

PROS: The best thing about Qlik Sense is it creates new business avenues for us.

CONS: The agreement with Qlik Sense banned the use of the system for commercial business. We overcame this issue by signing an OEM agreement with the vendor.

PROS: Qlik Sense is an excellent dashboard app. I use it to monitor my network traffic and the solution is fast and useful. In the dashboard I can monitor all my functioning appliances.

CONS: I don’t have too many complaints. I would like to change some of the graphics but this is not possible as the charts are not editable.

PROS: The most impressive aspect about Qlik Sense is it can handle even large volumes of data in a responsive and fast manner.

CONS: There are no visible glitches. But Qlik Sense pales in comparison with Qlik View which offers a dedicated system to create dashboards. I miss that feature in Qlik Sense.

PROS: The advantages are interactive dashboards, attractive graphic appearance, ease of use, and fast data processing speed.

CONS: There are quite a few glitches: You cannot change the fonts in the dashboards, you cannot independently set the color of the fonts, you cannot set the chart colors as you like, and finally, the positioning grid of the dashboard is too big.
