What is Stackby?
Stackby is a project management platform used by organizations, businesses, marketing agencies, and entrepreneurs to automate their work processes, enhance collaboration, and save resources. It brings the capabilities of spreadsheets, databases, and APIs into a single flexible workspace. Stackby allows you to build spreadsheet-like online databases by customizing pre-designed templates, uploading data from Excel spreadsheets, or creating them from scratch.
Through APIs, you’ll be able to connect the columns in your database to various services and applications, automatically collect and enter data into your tables, and update the data in real-time. Stackby automates your work by allowing you to instantly collect and manage data from various sources. You can automatically pull data from websites, services, and applications and input them into the tables of the database you built within Stackby. The platform also permits you to organize your data in different types of columns, such as emails, phone numbers, collaborators, APIs, attachments, dropdowns, and more.
You’ll be able to perform computations on column data and connect and merge data and records across tables. The data in your tables are refreshed and updated in real-time as well. This speed ups your lead generation and enrichment, marketing campaign monitoring, or project management activities and improves team members’ productivity.
Communication & Collaboration
The project management platform enables you and your colleagues to communicate and collaborate efficiently and collaborate from anywhere in real-time. PROS: Its a Collaborative tool like Airtable but with a lot of bugs in basic functionality
CONS: It's supposed to be an alternative to spreadsheets in its collaborative avatar or or Airtable . With fundamental issues like undo not working, Data added thru CSV in master data not visible to collaborators, ctrl+C + ctrl+V not working. Inspite of it being a paid product somehow Rachit had the view that we should have been patient while he was fixing these basic issues. When you question him about basic functionality he seems to blame the users for not using the product correctly. What can be a correct way of cntrl+c and Cntrl+v, undoing (from the button in the sheet), pasting data using the append function given by the sheet. Also the most famously he feels that even excel has bugs so we should be OK in accepting simple and basic bugs in the product. The issue resolution system is a chat box. No list of your issue with what is happening to its resolution. Also its premium version needs to work with 50000 rows of data. The sheets started crashing at 14000 rows. Again it was expected that we should expect the crashes without hues and cries. And this constant reminder if you raise issues that it is being used by 5000 companies and 50000 users making you feel guilty for asking questions as if you are a dumb user. We 15 users ultimately gave up
