What is Syncplicity?
Syncplicity is a file synchronization solution from EMC Corporation. EMC already offers the online backup service Mozy, and Syncplicity is their product in the cloud storage field that includes Google Drive, Box, Dropbox and others. Syncplicity enables you to sync any folder on your hard drive, and offers secure collaboration and sharing tools.
The advantages of this software are no file size limits, password protected shared folders, beautiful mobile apps, easy to use desktop client, backup and restore files, and sync any folder.
Syncplicity is an enterprise-level file sharing and sync software that is easy to use for mobile workers. This system provides file accessibility enables users regardless of whatever device they use and whether offline or online.
Users get a secure desktop, web, and mobile experience for collaborating internally or externally of their organization. The app offers control, usability, and security to IT professionals.

File Sync & Access
You can sync any folder without having to rearrange your work. Include and exclude files, filetypes, and subfolders. Make use of automatic version control with restore capabilities. There are native clients for Windows, Mac, Android, iOS and more. The app offers an online file browser with versions and previews.
Sharing & Collaboration
Collaborate in Microsoft Office applications with the Syncplicity App Tab. Share externally or internally with ease. Control folder re-sharing rights. User permissions protect files from unwanted updates. Sync changes to all users and all devices, and receive change notifications. Send large files via Secure Shared Links, with optional passwords and expiration dates. Make use of shared link download monitoring and tracking. Collaborate efficiently via Syncplicity Insights.
Mobility
Make use of beautifully- designed native apps. Access all your Syncplicity content. Open and view common document types. There are secure in-app editing and annotations for Microsoft Office and PDF files. You can deliver animated PowerPoint presentations directly from your mobile device. Securely receive and share files. Mark files as “Favorite” for offline access. Enjoy sophisticated Mobile Device Management support. Track downloads, when and where they were accessed. Other features are passcode setting and access to previous file versions. Both the Android and iPhone apps are well designed with the ability to manage shared links, and view favorite files and recent activity.
Security
Syncplicity uses AES-256 encryption to secure data during transmission and at rest on their servers. The encryption keys are stored in a separate data center than the facilities that store customer data. Communication via the web interface is encrypted with AES-256 SSL. Files are stored across multiple geographic locations, and can be accessed even with the loss of two data centers. Shared folders can be assigned a password, so only your intended recipient can view it. Syncplicity also supports two-factor authentication on accounts.
Support
Syncplicity offers different levels of support, depending on your plan. Subscribers to the Enterprise and Department editions can access phone, email, and priority online support. Business users get online and email support. Free and personal plan users only get online support, and access to community forums.
