CakeHR Review

PROS: We were looking for a HR soft that could represent Calendar with all types of leave clearly. Cake turned out to have the best I ever saw. You can see employees calendars by teams, so that you could easily plan vacations schedule and avoid any overlap. Besides cake gives overall impression of modern, intuitive, user-friendly and pretty product

CONS: uploading files in "documents" is only possible one by one, would be lovely to be able to upload several documents at once had kind of confusion in the beginning with vacation allowances which was affected by wrong time-zone settings hopefully was solved by support team

PROS: We have been a loyal user of CakeHR since 2015. We have seen the company evolve and upgrade to serve all our needs and to make us the efficient firm we had ambitioned to be. After all the communication we had made to improve the system, we have become proud partners of CakeHR.

CONS: Our company has zero issues with CakeHR. If ever we do, we are confident that they can resolve it immediately or even go the extra mile to configure the system to suit our needs.

PROS: Learning how to use CakeHR is naturally intuitive, even at the setup stage and up to fully maximizing its use. The leaves and attendance viewer had been very beneficial to the decision making of our company.

CONS: We haven't encountered any issue with it.

PROS: Offers a great overview for teams that are not located in one office. Easy to use.

CONS: Timesheets: - reminder comes when sheets are not submitted, it would be very helpful if the not submitted ones are somehow highlited - when working more in a week, overtime is calculated, when working less hours it is not deducted from overtime automatically and overtime needs to be requested, this should be simplified

PROS: Setting it up took a few hours and learning its ins and outs was even the easier part.

CONS: We hope the system could provide other services such as a communication platform between employees.

PROS: Among all the functions provided by CakeHR, I like the Survey function which allow employer to setup our own surveys base on our needs, for example Medical Plan feedback. It's similar with Google form.

CONS: So far we're satisfied with the services and product features.

PROS: We can now better manage requests for leaves and act promptly. We had never encountered any issues beginning with setup.

CONS: We feel that setting it up would be met with difficulties if the company had a bigger and more complex organizational model.

PROS: It's so user-friendly, and for me, the best aspect has to be their customer support.

CONS: I honestly have not yet come across any issues for what I am using CakeHR for.

PROS: Very user-friendly, CakeHR promotes transparency beginning onboarding up to monitoring the leaves each employee is left with or has earned. What's more amazing is it helps us make sense out of these figures in terms of how it affects the company's overall performance.

CONS: It has a score of features that may not be of use to our company. It would be more beneficial if it integrated with the company's time-in, time out system. We also hope we could personalize it, especially the calendar which begins with Monday while ours is on a Sunday

PROS: The automation of keeping employee's absence banks.

CONS: The mobile app could have more features. Increase the types of options that could be set for different policies.

PROS: Aside from its orderly management system, CakeHR creates a neat presentation of the data, allowing a faster processing of the information to easily make decisions.

CONS: We hope it could allow everyone to add to and remove from the team instead of just one system administrator.

PROS: It's very intuitive, easy to use and has many features

CONS: I didn't find anything problematic yet

PROS: As admin, navigating around CakeHR is very easy. The same can be said even if you're using it as an employee.

CONS: We have reached out to CakeHR to elevate our request for more setting and reporting selections. We would also like to learn how we can leverage the time-tracking feature.

PROS: Before learning about HR, I used to depend on different tools to deliver different tasks. Now, my company's HR division can now work on one platform—from attendance tracking to sending out performance feedback, which makes everything efficient. We also deeply appreciate the client-centric support CakeHR gives. Even as it is a minor issue, they take our problems seriously.

CONS: I hope it could give more room for personalization. I would like to configure the system design to make it more in sync with the company's brand colors. I also wish it could allow a group-by-group inputting of employee information or feedback, something like allowing the pooling of a group and adding comments in one, instead of the current system where we have to add comments one by one which is quite tedious.

PROS: I give my five stars to Cake because of their very accommodating and helpful people.

CONS: If it could allow a channel for workers to discuss progress on previous targets, it would be perfect.

PROS: I like that CakeHr is centralized, putting in one platform the essentials like calendar and employee information. The interface is also laudable with its simple design.

CONS: It throws in upgrades regularly so I can't pinpoint loopholes.

PROS: The best thing about CakeHR is its appraisal system. You can view the reports presented very orderly. You get alerted for important employee requests even when you're not logged in. The entire interface is user-friendly.

CONS: The category names should be changed to accurately capture the items that should fall under them.

Cake's main benefits are ease of use, great interface and native mobile apps. I'd recommend Cake for companies with more than 20 employees, though enterprises with more than 200 people would benefit from Cake's functionality as well.

Cons? The software currently is only in english.
