CakeHR is a cloud-based human resource management solution designed to help businesses in various industries manage employees. It provides HR-related assistance in areas like recruitment, performance report, shift scheduling, expenses, and more.
Aside from its main human resource features, CakeHR offers six modules; Recruitment Management, Performance Management, Timesheets Management, Shift Scheduling Management, Leave Management, and Expenses Management. Businesses can customize which modules to get and will be billed either monthly or annually. Needless to say, Payroll Management is not yet part of CakeHR’s modules but it does have integration with Sage 50cloud Payroll Software.

PROS: We were looking for a HR soft that could represent Calendar with all types of leave clearly. Cake turned out to have the best I ever saw. You can see employees calendars by teams, so that you could easily plan vacations schedule and avoid any overlap. Besides cake gives overall impression of modern, intuitive, user-friendly and pretty product
CONS: uploading files in "documents" is only possible one by one, would be lovely to be able to upload several documents at once had kind of confusion in the beginning with vacation allowances which was affected by wrong time-zone settings hopefully was solved by support team

PROS: Among all the functions provided by CakeHR, I like the Survey function which allow employer to setup our own surveys base on our needs, for example Medical Plan feedback. It's similar with Google form.

PROS: Very user-friendly, CakeHR promotes transparency beginning onboarding up to monitoring the leaves each employee is left with or has earned. What's more amazing is it helps us make sense out of these figures in terms of how it affects the company's overall performance.
CONS: It has a score of features that may not be of use to our company. It would be more beneficial if it integrated with the company's time-in, time out system. We also hope we could personalize it, especially the calendar which begins with Monday while ours is on a Sunday

PROS: As admin, navigating around CakeHR is very easy. The same can be said even if you're using it as an employee.

PROS: Before learning about HR, I used to depend on different tools to deliver different tasks. Now, my company's HR division can now work on one platform—from attendance tracking to sending out performance feedback, which makes everything efficient. We also deeply appreciate the client-centric support CakeHR gives. Even as it is a minor issue, they take our problems seriously.
CONS: I hope it could give more room for personalization. I would like to configure the system design to make it more in sync with the company's brand colors. I also wish it could allow a group-by-group inputting of employee information or feedback, something like allowing the pooling of a group and adding comments in one, instead of the current system where we have to add comments one by one which is quite tedious.

PROS: The best thing about CakeHR is its appraisal system. You can view the reports presented very orderly. You get alerted for important employee requests even when you're not logged in. The entire interface is user-friendly.
CONS: The category names should be changed to accurately capture the items that should fall under them.
Overall impression
Cake's main benefits are ease of use, great interface and native mobile apps. I'd recommend Cake for companies with more than 20 employees, though enterprises with more than 200 people would benefit from Cake's functionality as well.
Cons? The software currently is only in english.
