ChurchSuite Review

ChurchSuite recently added new event check-in features to its existing event management functionalities that are available in the calendar module. The new addition improves the event management capability of the system by recording the attendance for any events in the  calendar module but is no longer limited to those who signed up but covers even those who actually attended to such events. Thus, it is introducing impromptu attendance checking especially for events that are not requiring attendees to sign up such as a gathering or meeting of leaders.

Furthermore, the church management system is now offering QR Code Scanning. QR Codes are available within the sign-up confirmation emails that members and attendees would receive after signing up. When they appear on the event, church staff or event organizers would just have to scan the QR Code from the confirmation email or the QR Code from the My ChurchApp Event Page. Devices that would be used for QR Code Scanning are also registered and added to the system with names. This is very useful especially when an event is expecting massive number of attendees or when there is a need of quick checking of attendance.

Post-event features are also included in the addition of new event management functionalities. Users would now be able to assign event attendees to a flow, key data, or tag as well as the option to filter whom to communicate with in  the attendance list. With these new features, the event  check-in procedure becomes more simplified as well as the checking of attendance.

Prior to the addition of the new event management features,  ChurchSuite has already been maintaining and offering interesting  functionalities and one of them is its tracking of youth and children ministry. In this feature, users would be able to import the database of the children in their church or ministry from CSV format into the church database system and send emails, letters, or SMS to them or to their parents directly from the ChurchSuite cloud-based system. A tagging functionality is also provided in this feature wherein children can be categorized into different groups for Sunday children’s ministry or mid-week trips and ad hoc activities .

ChurchSuite is also offering an electronic system of checking-in children to Sunday school and printable labels are provided for picking up children and parents. Moreover, the youth and children’s ministry module of Church Suite allows users to easily manage medical records of children such as in case they have allergies to types of food or medical conditions that need special attention. These records including child consents are organized by the system enabling users to share them with the concerned staff or team. These features aim to promote a child-friendly church environment allowing pastors and leaders guide the children of their ministry in their pathways toward the strengthening of their faith.

Another feature of ChurchSuite is its giving module. With this feature, users would be able to manage their online giving, donations, and gift aid in a simplified manner and process. The system has the capability to link the address book of the church to the giving module so that users would be able to view the giving profiles of their members. Bank statements can be uploaded into the system enabling users to import donations directly from their bank statement . Giving data can also be imported as bank statements are uploaded and users would be able to reconcile the data with the appropriate givers and funds, When it comes to claiming of giving aid, users can link their Charities Online account with ChurchSuite allowing them to send the details of donations to HM Revenue and Customs.
