Easy and seamless connections with leading cloud storage providers ensure fast importation and secure location for your business documents.
Docparser’s parsing mechanisms can be tailored based on your particular needs. You can create parsing values without having to work with codes. Once Docparser is set up, working with PDF documents and extracting the data you need is a breeze.
Show MoreParsing documents for relevant and significant data has become an essential practice for today’s business. With Docparser, you can build a customized parsing platform that lets you get the data you need from PDF files quickly and accurately and you don’t have to have coding expertise to get it done.
Docparser presents a powerful, enterprise-grade PDF document parsing engine that is proven and reliable and can be easily integrated into any environment. This versatility enables you to automatically parse large volumes of PDF documents, including those with complicated document layouts.
Every business structure is unique and requirements vary from one company to another. With Docparser, you can create parsing rules that are 100% suited to your business needs and use-case. No more do you have to filter out parsed documents and thresh our data you don’t need. Once you have specified your parsing rules, the Docparser engine gets you the data you want to extract.
Most parsing solutions have limited capabilities when it comes to tabular data. Docparses isn’t one of those platforms. You can extract and format repeating text patterns and tables from PDF files without the usual complications that stem from this complex process.
Docparser is blazingly fast. Once documents are uploaded into the system, they are immediately processed. In less than a minute, you have all the data you need ready for download or you can send it to your business app. Other powerful functionalities include uploading PDF files in batches, import documents via email, fetch files from the cloud, and more.
Show MoreKnowing that businesses have particular business-related needs, it is only prudent that they avoid seeking an all-in-one, “perfect” system. Just the same, it is futile to discover such application even among branded software products. The reasonable step to undertake would be to make a list of the various key factors that entail scrutiny like essential features, costing, technical skill levels of staff, company size, etc. Thereafter, you must perform your product research to a full extent. Go over these Docparser evaluations and scrutinize the other solutions in your list in detail. Such comprehensive research ensures you keep away from unsuitable applications and buy the one which has all the benefits your business requires.

Enterprises have unique needs and requirements and no software solution can be perfect in such a scenario. It is useless to try to find a perfect out-of-the-box software system that meets all your business wants. The intelligent thing to do would be to modify the solution for your special needs, employee skill levels, budget, and other aspects. For these reasons, do not hurry and pay for well-publicized trendy applications. Though these may be widely used, they may not be the best fit for your particular needs. Do your homework, check out each short-listed system in detail, read a few Docparser Document Management Systems reviews, call the seller for explanations, and finally choose the application that presents what you want.

PROS: Docparser provides a flexible system to configure how to categorize documents by type, and use different parsing rules for each type. The flexibility and configurability is what I most liked about the product.
CONS: They have put a lot of work into making something that could be really complicated into something manageable by non-technical users. However, there are some areas where I find myself wanting more control. "Regular Expressions", for example, are incredibly powerful but also incredibly hard to use for someone that doesn't work with regex syntax on a regular basis. While there is a low-level matcher that supports regex, all other parsing tools don't. It would be useful if they did.

Ease of Use
PROS: The accuracy of document parsing is the best of its kind and the integration tools work brilliantly. For example, the Email integration for importing documents that work effortlessly, only sending er documents to the email provided for each parsing rule and the job done. The parsing rule creation process is also straightforward and almost no technical skill required. Getting the output is also very convenient, either directly download the processed documents or use the integration tools provided by Docparser such as API or Docparse even able to send the processed documents to an email.
CONS: The tabs in the Imported documents section are a bit confusing. I do not entirely understand why they even exist. It may be better to list the documents in a single page and differentiate them so that the users do not constantly refresh or click to see the documents in the different stages. It could be on the same page but section them so the users can see their uploaded documents instantly after it has been uploaded.

Ease of Use
PROS: Easy of implementation. Able to parse most documents
CONS: Does not implement OAuth 1.0 two factor authentication. We've implemented a fully automated system where customer orders are automatically forwarded to Docparser from our email server. Docparser then parses the pdf and forwards the data in JSON to an outward facing Suitelet in Netsuite. This Suitelet then does a Restful integration using OAuth 1.0 to a Netsuite Restlet. The Suitelet handles the required two factor authentication. The Restlet loads the order to Netsuite.

PROS: I receive every month a very nice, but complex, bank statement. The bank does not provide an excel format of this statement. And docparser accomplishes the job with excellence. Now, I can understand exactly where my money is going to. I can easily break the documento into columns and treat each one of them. When I don't know how to do it, I can access the support team and they help me solving the problem.
CONS: I couldn't integrate it with Zapier. It's not that easy as I thought. And my protected pdfs are not being parsed, so this should be fixed and upgraded. Also, the pricing model could be based on credits. I need to parse only 2-5 documents per month. And there is not a plan for this use case. The way you set to export to excel is not that easy to handle and to understand. It took time and I needed help to make it work.

PROS: It is easy to understand and visually see what is getting taken off of pdfs. You set up rules for a particular type of pdf and then you can see what the result swill be before you click save. This makes it easy to adjust the rules to make sure you are getting the information you want and nothing else.
CONS: Every once in awhile when I am getting transactions from a bank or credit card statement, it will mess up a number. Mostly this occurs when the pdf is a scan of an actual document that is old. What I mean is my client took an old bank statement that has been sitting in a desk for a year getting wrinkly and then they scan it so the pdf isn't the best image to begin with.

PROS: The flexibility of the rule creation. The software allows you to drill down on exactly what you want. the support team is fantastic. They respond quickly and are very communicative.
CONS: The parsing rule process is built to anticipate users next move but I don't find it to align with the way I think through a problem. The good thing is the support team has worked with me on everything I've encountered and has successfully worked to overcome my objection each time - whether enlightening me on rationale or actually changing something about the software to better align with my expectations.

PROS: I like the flexibility of being to apply rules to standard documents But also then to bend those rules for the exceptions Applying parsing rules also helps a lot in organising the data with extraction - and this has saved me countless hours already in the short while using this service
CONS: Initially it feels a bit confusing, mostly due to unfamiliar terms used. But I quickly got the hang of it.
Inventory and invoice conversion is easy

Ease of Use
PROS: I like being able to have multiple document templates as each vendor tends to have their own "take" on what is useful to include in an invoice or order and formatting can vary a great deal. Therefore, my templates are not based on vendor name - they are based on the data found in the invoices. Example file names: "line-qty-units-isbn13-desc-discount-level-ext-dollar" or "line-qty-desc-unit-ext-float" Vendors aren't always consistent from invoice to invoice. They may be using software that resizes table columns to fit the text, which means you have to adjust your table format slightly each time to ensure the parsing is correct. That's easy to do. The forums and Q&A resources are usually helpful and I've found them responsive to email.
CONS: 1. The UI for making changes to the template. I hate the popup box routine at the end of making a change. It takes a lot of mouse clicks. 2. I've never gotten the subtemplates to work. (see note above about vendor formats being inconsistent.) Subtemplates "supposedly" help with minor variations. Maybe this works for other applications as it is a great idea. 3. There are a lot of little tweaks to be made that aren't obvious to improve character recognition. Why not start with the highest level of quality (ie. turn on OCR) at the start? If that makes file size a problem for storage or performance when processing a lot of files at once, walk people through how to "downgrade" to an acceptable level or establish a recommended number of files not to exceed some size limit. For example, during a trial scan there were no extra spaces or funky characters in the document but then I figured out about half of the "6s" had been transformed to "8s" - not terribly helpful. I want to be able to trust the result rather than having to proof hundreds of line items. 4. Given the inconsistencies I have with the input data sources, I don't think I'll be able to automate the parsing tasks - such as grabbing attachments from email automatically. Again, I have a small business, so I'm OK with the workaround.
