Scenario #1

Managing the everyday processes of a company; consider the Leave Request process: Jerry has to ask for a leave of absence for his vacation, although it can be a sick leave, a work from home program or any other type of leave. To do so, Jerry needs to fill in a request, get it signed by his superior, who first has to check the working schedule in order to allocate resources. Then Jerry has to take the request to the HR department, where it is filed, and then the HR notifies payroll.

With ELMA, every step of this process is automatic. Instead of running around the office with a paper request, Jerry has to make only one click in ELMA to start the Leave Request process. He selects the type of leave and specifies the date. He can do it even from his home; all he needs is internet access! ELMA automatically assigns the employee’s superior with the task to approve the request, notifies the HR and payroll.

Scenario #2

Task management: every day David is assigned with many tasks. Some of them are in written form, while others are just a few words said by David´s boss in a hurry. David finds it hard to fit it all in his schedule and he spends a lot of time just trying to figure out what to do first. After his company has implemented ELMA, things have changed. Now all the tasks are assigned in the system, and David sees them all listed on one page in ELMA web application. The tasks have a different priority and due dates, so David does not have to worry about planning.

When a task is completed, the task author is notified immediately, so no one bothers David with questions about when will the tasks be done. He can even reassign tasks, add co-executors, comment, ask questions about the task if something is not clear, and attach files so that everything is stored in ELMA. Having a panoramic view of David’s workload, his boss can make timely decisions to prevent delays and make sure everything is completed in accordance with the schedule.

Scenario #3

Document approval: Layla works in a credit office of a large bank. Before installing ELMA CE, document approval took weeks. Documents went from one department to another, and nobody was able to tell where exactly the document was a certain moment.

Luckily, in ELMA CE any document can be added to the system and then sent for approval to the right person according to the business process. Now approvals take a couple of days at the most, and work goes a lot faster.
