NexTraq’s map is highly interactive and allows you to view even the weather around your vehicles so that you can keep your drivers secure if there’s a storm. Another benefit is you can set up geofences by zip code in the map and you will get an alert if a driver enters the geofenced area.
A highlight of this fleet tracking solution is it keeps your vehicles’ history forever unlike most other services that only keep the history for a month to 90 days. You can use this lifetime history to monitor trends in drivers’ behaviors and train them to improve their performance.
Tracking Feature
NexTraq’s GPS vehicle tracking service can track the routes your drivers take and the stops they make, and you can view routes and stops in detail. You can also track safety data such as harsh acceleration, harsh braking, and speeding.
Users can set up the service to get maintenance information such as when a tire rotation or oil change is due. This can help you save money on vehicle repairs as you can proactively take care of your vehicles.
Contract and Installation
The hardware offered NexTraq does not need professional installation, which can save you time and money. The hardware is hidden from drivers, so you don’t need to worry about drivers tampering with your devices. There is a startup fee per unit that you need to pay. CONS: Unfortunately, NextTraq's customer service is not helpful. We had to contact them several times regarding our inquiry and their response was very prompt and lacked substance. They weren't able to present us with many options.
The least favorable review
PROS: I love how it allows you to program what element you would like to track--be it the driver or the actual vehicle. Now, we can easily locate our fleet and make sure that they get to their destination (and back) on time.
CONS: There are times when I've noticed that the system jumbles up the user vs the vehicle. I might look up the driver and get the results related to the vehicle he is currently driving. The same can happen vice versa.

PROS: Tracking where our vehicles are and who is in charge of them used to be a difficult task. But with NexTraq, no truck gets driven out of the garage without being checked out through this system. We can see just how fast our drivers traverse from point A to point B, and how long they stay in pitstops. It gives us a pretty good estimate of our profits and gains based on the number of hours our trucks spend on the road.
CONS: There is no way for me to verify whether a driver really did spend an x amount of time for a pee break or a pitstop. I hope that we would have the capacity to confirm this information or not. Other than this, I don't really have any other complaint.
