Periscope Data Review

PROS: This tool delivers outstanding results. It provides us the best solutions for managing our data and creating the dashboard. Also, its sharing options allow us to share the dashboard easily from one team to another.

CONS: Data modeling lacks some functions to optimize its use further.

PROS: It is a user-friendly tool that helps improve our internal business functions. It has become easy to produce insightful metrics for our sales force. Also, the dashboards we create through Sisense help deliver data to track employee productivity.

CONS: It’s not that I dislike it. It’s just that I have been using an old reporting tool for many years, which I find hard to get out of my knowledge. Because of that, I am having problems trying to adapt and learn Sisense.

PROS: It is a very user-friendly tool. Compared with other BI tools, Sisense’s data integration layer is very easy to use. Its ETL is also very organized that I can manage models with various tables easily

CONS: During builds, code needs to be written as it cannot be saved, so I have to leave the browser open, which I find bothersome. I also often receive an error notification that closes the table when I cancel it, then the browser needs to be refreshed.

PROS: Sisense is flexible and is very easy to use. It provides reliable performance that results in profit due to its low maintenance cost. The company provides above-average service, which surpasses our expectations. It extends its help and support for us to succeed. As a user for several years, I can say that no other service can be compared to Sisense.

CONS: The user interface is easy and useful for us, but visualizations need more improvement for external users.

PROS: Sisense is very easy to use and implement. Our customized dashboards were already fully functional within a few weeks. Also, it provides excellent customer service as they are very responsive and helpful.

CONS: Improvements in plug-ins and pdf formatting should be made for the efficiency of functions. It would be better to have enhanced features when it comes to exporting elastic cube data.

PROS: This tool guarantees less overhead expenses in setting up your system for business solutions

CONS: Visualization needs a little enhancement. Adding more features may help users optimize their use.

PROS: It offers great flexibility. It comes with well thought out functionality. It lets users analyze data efficiently and swiftly. That's what I like most with Periscope.

CONS: So far. No problems with the platform. Although the flexibility aspects of its query format could use some improvement.

PROS: Sisense enables us to create dashboards that provide our employees and clients with insightful information. We are all pleased to use the tool as it is very easy to follow.

CONS: Need improvement on some features, such as elastic cube and widgets, to enhance the experience of all its users.

PROS: A great experience that my company has ever gone through. This was set up along with hosting sessions of employees that slowly eases us in the use of Periscope. Free classes are avaialble on Codeacademy in learning more about writing SQL. As opposed to downloading reports/data and organizing things through Excel, you can set the Periscope charts to auto-refresh.

CONS: I can't wait for Periscope to have further integrations with other programs such as CRM, ESPs, and Google Maps. From time to time, it would crash.

PROS: It has the best customer support I have experienced with similar products in the market. When it comes to SaaS applications, I can rate Periscope to have the best support team. They take you through every step of the way and offer multiple alternatives depending on what you are looking for. They help you to get started right away and thus smooth transition. Previously, I was using Tableau, which has more features as compared to Periscope. However, their customer support was not as effective and helpful as that of Periscope, which made everything difficult to figure out. Luckily, we were able to find what we were looking for in Periscope due to the highly responsive support team.

CONS: It is limited in terms of data analytics. When you compare with similar tools such as Tableau, Periscope does not offer data exploration functionality. However, it offers a reliable platform on which you can easily create monitoring dashboards. It would be better if the developers of the product included a feature that allows you to explore data. Due to this deficiency, you have to bring in a third party application to help you out with data exploration. This would be a clot easier if you could get all these features under one roof, which is the Periscope.

PROS: We're able to take our dashboards for a spin. We do this in each aspect of our business. This puts as the a company with the most driven metrics in the market. It's really powerful to use. We get to see all data regarding each transaction we've made through the platform.

CONS: At this point. Nothing. Our company would be dead in the water without Periscope Data.

PROS: Periscope helps to generate or create visual chart and graphs for presentation to the sales team. You do not have to be an expert programmer to make the best use of this tool. You can learn how to code using the learning sessions and free tutorials at your disposal. The idea is to be able to customize those graphs and charts such that you get the results you need and it becomes easy when you are presenting the results. Also, you can export files from excel spreadsheets so that you can analyze them and present them into a report in the form of graphs or charts for easy understanding.

CONS: Although you do not require being a professional programmer to use this tool, it can help if you are. For those who have little or no knowledge in programming, the learning curve is real. It will take you a long time to figure out some of the features and how they are utilized to give you the results or experience you want. The user interface can be complex when you are getting started but you figure it out with time. There is a security protocol which you have to follow once you generate your chart, which entails locking them. If you do not undertake this procedure, anyone can tamper with your charts. You thus have to figure out how to lock them and, at first, I could not hack this.

PROS: It does what it exactly says on the tin. It acquires charts. Typing in SQL. I like how it's priced according to the row --- not per user.

CONS: Dealing with hundreds of dashboard is a tough act. Specifically, if involves doing bulk changes. It would've been a plus if our charts get to be in source control.

PROS: It has become a smooth experience since implementing this tool into our company system. It has managed to make things easy as it comes with sessions where employees can learn how to us this product. For users who do not know how to write SQL, there are free classes to help you get acquainted with the code language on Codeacademy. It produces or generates charts so that you can understand the complex reports for ease of use. To automate this feature, you have to set it up in the charts form and refresh it automatically to generate those charts.

CONS: There are glitches as you would expect in any software application. No product or tool is perfect and thus this is normal thing. When it comes to integration with other third party applications, Periscope can do better. It would be nice if it could integrate well with Google Maps and CRM among other data related tools. This could help with analysis of data in the simplest form and thus helpful. Also, it experiences downtimes now and them which can be disappointing and causes delays in the use of the product.
