Subsplash Review

PROS: None, it's an outdated app provider, with poor customer service.

CONS: They need to not have outrageous cancellation policies that you are unaware of upfront. Subsplash is just about the worst church-related company out there. Our church signed up for their app a month before I came on board. After I started we decided that the $119 a month they were charging was outrageous so I decided to cancel our subscription with them. After 6+ emails they finally responded and set up a mandatory "cancellation meeting". No, you can't just cancel your account you have to have a full-on meeting with them about ti first so they can try to force their way to make you continue your subscription. Turns out you're stuck in a long term subscription and the only way out is to pay a 3 freaking month cancelation fee. Here's the thing WE NEVER EVEN USED THEIR overly expensive and outdated product. We signed up for an account and never set anything up. Not only that but after we finally have the cancelation meeting, their billing department did not contact us back for 7 more days. During those 7 days we got charged for another month, even though we had already canceled our account. So now it's not just an outrageous $357.24 cancellation, it's also an additional overcharge of $119.08 on top of that. In no world would I ever recommend Subsplash.

PROS: We’ve enjoyed so much flexibility from this tool. It has allowed us to personalize our app based on our community’s requirements. It’s really intuitive and anticipative of our needs--two things that we need when it comes to an app such as this.

CONS: I do wish that the developers would consider to house an in-house web page for our content. Right now, we have to reach out to external partners to run our own website. Alternatively, they can also give us more freedom to customize media pages in lieu of a website.

PROS: This is an app that truly anticipates the needs of the church community. Either the developers are knee-deep in their faith, or they have done a very thorough research of their audience.

CONS: As with any tool like this, a lot of improvements still need to be made for Subsplash. For one, there are certain tools that can be more polished. One such feature is the setting up of recurring events. This is virtually impossible with the current set-up and I still need to hook it up through Google calendars just to get the support I need. Needless to say, this is such a hassle for me. The developers seem to be aware of the issue but they have yet to push for a work-around this. I have my fingers crossed that things will get better soon.

PROS: Just imagine this: there are senior citizens in our community who can barely operate the full extent of their phones, but have no problem navigating this app. It is that easy to use.

CONS: There is an app that I really need Subsplash to communicate data with. Somehow, this has been an almost impossible feat.
