Thus, Tray is using WebHooks to allow users to automatically gather information from their applications and services and automate their workflows. The workflow triggers of Tray are enabled by the WebHooks implemented by web-applications and services. However, since not all web-applications and services are implementing WebHooks, Tray offers ways so that those applications and services that are not using WebHooks will be able to transmit event signals and information to Tray. These are called utility triggers.

These triggers include manual triggers, callable triggers, and form triggers. Manual triggers are enabled to test new workflows, while callable triggers allow users to break down their workflows into modular pieces that they can reuse. In addition, callable triggers can be activated from another workflow. When customers fill out web forms, Tray can automatically capture the information entered in the web forms and activate workflows once they are submitted. The specific type of utility trigger used in this case is called form trigger.

Furthermore, Tray offers a workflow builder, which enables users to create and edit the workflows that will be activated when their web-based applications send out information. This workflow builder is easy to use with the aid of its drag-and-out functionality. Users will also be able to easily search for their workflows. Tray provides workflow labels, allowing users to tag their workflows.

Tray also enables users to manage all access to their web-based applications from a centralized location. With this capability, they will be able to quickly access the credentials of other users, and they can easily authenticate them.
