The smart playlist features offered by UCView enable users to play digital signage contents in a way that their customers will not feel bored viewing or watching them. This is because standard playlists usually play contents monotonously, playing the same content very often.

To address and resolve this issue, UCView allows users to rearrange the order of contents in their playlist using sequential campaign lists. Sequential campaign lists are composed of groups of content and advertisements. These lists are comprised of different media types such as live TV, video clips, Flash, and HTML5.

To understand how this feature works users should know the difference between a main playlist and a sequential campaign list. A main playlist shows a chronological order of contents that the audience can view from digital signage displays or monitors. Each content is referred to as spot or index. In a standard playlist, each spot is played once per loop. Therefore, when a playlist finishes playing such spot or content, it will move on to the next spot in the loop. A loop is composed of a set of contents where each content is played for a certain duration of time.

On the other hand, a sequential campaign list is a set of contents that are grouped or arranged based on category. For instance, a sequential campaign list can contain media files and video clips that are related to news. Thus, this list will be comprised of contents for business news, sports news, business news and financial news.

So, the software allows users to change the contents that will be played on their main playlist by playing contents from sequential campaign lists. Thus, spots or contents within their main playlist will dynamically rotate between a list of contents.

When the playlist reaches a particular spot or content within the main playlist, it will trigger one of the contents from the sequential campaign list. When it’s done playing such content, it will then move on to the next content on the main playlist. When the playlist plays the same loop and reaches the same spot again, it will play the next content from the sequential campaign list.  With this feature, the audience will not watch or view the same content or ads all over again.

Another smart playlist feature offered by UCView is its capability to synchronize ads so contents and advertisements will compliment each other. Thus, users will be able to play two or more contents and advertisements at the same time. As an example, users can play a video on the main section of their digital signage layout; and at the same time, display an advertisement in the side banner.

UCView also allows users to quickly create digital signage layouts. With this feature, they will be able to make their ads more recognizable. In addition, this feature helps them add personality to the messages they want to deliver to their audience. Users can add backgrounds, overlays, images, and logos to their layout. Also, they will be able to add sections to it such as side banners.

UCView also offers an audio balance functionality, which allows users to select the area on their layout where the sound will be delivered. If they want an audio to be heard only on the left side of their layout, they will be able to set that up. In case they want the audio to be heard equally on both sides, the software also enables them to do that.
