What Problems Will Accountri Solve?

Case 1:

In MSMEs either 1 to 2 resources would handle all of HR, operations, finance, and the same resource may also act as secretary or assistant to the owner or CEO. Usually, enough emphasis would not be given to non-revenue generation activities like operations and management and focus usually would be on the functional area on which the company is generating income. This can lead to a lack of accountability of resources and in turn results in low productivity and quality issues. A typical project management software would track the timelines and milestones on an independent basis with no integration to HR, Billing, and payments. That makes hard to make the resource accountable when he or she doesn’t meet the ETC. A typical use case would be: assume a Charted Accountant (CA)’s office has taken up the job order for preparing financial statements for one of their clients. The billable amount is agreed as Rs.10,000/- by both parties. When CA has quoted Rs.10,000 for the agreed services, his assumption was that his cost would be Rs. 7,000/- when he uses resource A to complete this job for a period of 7 days with an understanding that resource A’s monthly salary is Rs.30,000/-. At the time of execution, the CA firm might have used Resource B whose remuneration is Rs. 60,000/- which is higher than Resource A’s remuneration. Another possibility is the firm might have still used Resource A for this job but, resource A took 15 days to complete the job. In both cases, the firm has made a loss despite completing the job order. The owner will only realize this loss if he has a proper management process in place. After the job successfully executed, the owner has to raise the invoice which usually is a manual process and error-prone. It is very much possible that the client might have delayed the payment and operations/finance personnel because of their busy schedule may for forget to remind the client and more importantly a GST must be filed by the firm after Invoice is raised. The same example would also extend to TDS payments, Payroll, PF, ESI and other facets of the organization like policy management, document collaboration between client and company in a secure way.

Case 2:

Startups focus usually would be on investing more focus on research & development and revenue generation. It would be more than a challenge to maintain taxation according to the governance standards.

For example “X” is a service provider company that has raised an invoice to its client for 5,00,000.Rs on a client “Z”. Z agrees to pay the invoice amount by deducting the TDS (tax deducted on the source). It is the responsibility of Z to file the TDS to Government on time. Here X collects GST from Z excluding the invoice amount and X is now responsible to file the GST to Government on time. Both the parties could turn negligent to the due date and may miss on filing the tax on time due to the primary focus lying on business generation and R&D. Here organization, in turn, faces losses due to the penalty on non-filing of tax on time. There needs to be a system in place that should record each and every transaction that takes place within the business premises and automated calculation should be done on the GST & TDS taxation formats, giving timely alerts on payment.
