What Problems Will Avaza Solve?

A. Requirement Gathering: John is an accountant who needs to file a tax return for one of his customers named Paul. John has a list questions that need answers. He wants to ensure responses are offered in a structured manner and not lost in never-ending emails.

To make things easy, John has subscribed to Avaza where he can invite Paul to a specific project and assign him a list of tasks.

John will get an email for each task. He can respond to the task by responding to the email or open the task in Avaza. All his supporting files and responses are logged in a structured manner. John can continue to collaborate on tasks till he gets all that is required to proceed with the tax return. Once everything is good he can mark the tasks as done. Paul will receive reminders for overdue tasks.

B. Request Approval for Work: Sam, an architect, had a good meeting with one of her clients named Jodie who requested Sam to send the quote. Sam used to create estimates using an Excel template that was emailed to clients. It used to take a long time and clients had trouble opening Excel files on mobile.

Sam has recently registered for Avaza.

She opens her account and creates a professional-looking estimate in minutes. Sam then sends the estimate to Jodie for approval. Jodie looks at the estimate on her mobile and wants some changes. She rejects the estimate and gives instructions on the changes needed. Sam gets the notification immediately. She makes the needed changes and sends the estimate back. Jodie is now satisfied with the estimate and clicks on the accept button. Sam gets the acceptance notification. She can now start the project work knowing that the approval details are securely logged. Sam delivers the project in a few days. She opens the estimate and changes it to an invoice to receive payment.

C. Uninvoiced Time and Expenses: Adam, an account manager for a software consultancy, has come to work on Monday morning. He normally sends a reminder email to all engineers to scan and email their weekly timesheets. This task takes hours to enter all the details into the finance system and sometimes there are errors.

But the good thing is Adam’s company has signed up for Avaza.

The solution sends a weekly reminder email to all engineers if they have filled in time for less than their standard hours. With a few clicks, Adam can pull all uninvoiced time and expenses while generating a new invoice. The whole process takes just a couple of minutes. It saves Adam half a day’s work and the company’s customers are satisfied too. The invoices are accurate and have pertinent details such as project name, task title, etc.

PROS: Avaza gathers all the best elements of project management, time tracking, estimating, invoicing and payment portal, offering all of them in a neat, compact platform. It allows me to perform numerous tasks without having to exit the application and open up another. That means, I can set upmy tasks, monitor working houts, approve timesheets and many more with just a single application. Best of all, I can do all of these with just a freemium account. If I choose to upgrade, they have affordable options as well.

CONS: Everything I want in a business management platform, Avaza has it.

PROS: It has a good balance between traditional and agile tools. It perfectly suits certain projects wherein you want to go agile but also track time with tasks especially if the work is done by vendors or outsourced partners. Raising invoices and expenses just sweetens the deal. Started using around a week back and so far it's going good.

PROS: The product is very easy to use and user-friendly but also includes great powerful features. Project management and Time tracking are what I use most of the time. I am happy that I gave this a try. Cost effective overall.

PROS: We like the easy to use time tracking, in order to track all our employees' time to projects. Also have integrations set up with our contract software and accounting software, to have a full life cycle of proposal to project to billing/bookkeeping

CONS: Some aspects of reporting could be improved, in conjunction with project management for on-going projects for monthly client subscriptions. would like to see an integration for our payroll software Gusto for timekeeping.

PROS: Keeps all tasks and projects organized. Makes invoicing very easy. Time tracking and reports allows me to make sure that I'm staying productive.

CONS: You have the ability to set repeat tasks in Avaza, but it's often confusing to set up and never seems to match the parameters I set up. There also seems to be a back-end issue affecting it most days.

PROS: The design is great and makes the software easy to use. Some software we have tried or used in the past have too many things going on and it makes it difficult to check your tasks.

CONS: Would love an ACH integration with Stripe. Right now it is just the Credit Card. Other than that, some little things with the Xero integration but it is working great as is right now.

CONS: Although it's easy to get started with the software, I find the home page to be a bit confusing. In particular, I don't find the progress view of my tasks to be very useful for strategically deciding what work should be done next.
