What is Brink POS?

Brink is a cloud-based POS software that is attune with the ever-changing advances in technology. With this program, a restaurant can easily adapt to the evolving needs of customers.

All features offered by Brink is on the cloud, so restaurants do not need a back-office server to house their data. Owners and managers can access the system anytime and anywhere as well. This gives them more flexibility and mobility in overseeing the day-to-day operations of their business.

Food businesses do not have to scramble for regular updates, too. Brink automatically takes care of upgrading the system through its spontaneous cloud update rollout.

With Brink, restaurants can also rest assured that they can conduct business without a hitch even when internet problems disrupt their system. The application synchronizes with the cloud when connection is restored, so all their offline data will still be available online.

Overview of Brink POS Benefits

Cloud Data Hosting

Brink hosts restaurants’ data on the cloud. This eliminates the need for an onsite back-office server to save space. Managers and staff can remain on the floor at all times as well since the software does not require constant monitoring.

Multi-Unit Control

Since Brink POS operates on the cloud, all system configurations carried out on one unit will be instantaneously rolled out on other units. This improves a restaurant’s efficiency since they do not need to perform updates on each unit and in every location.

Always Up-To-Date

Brink lives up to its promise in ensuring that restaurants can keep up with the industry’s and customers’ demands. The monthly subscription software automatically rolls out regular updates for Brink systems from the cloud. Through this, they will be able to keep abreast with the latest advances in cloud and restaurant POS technology.

Secure Data

With Brink, restaurants can rest assured that all their transactions and relevant data are secure. The POS software encrypts data on the cloud and has safeguards in place to protect a restaurant’s information.

Staff Supervision

The POS software also manages the log times and attendance of all employees. It assimilates with a restaurant’s payroll application for seamless payroll management. Further, Brink also handles staff scheduling and affords a bird’s eye view of how labor is distributed. In addition, it generates report on how much an establishment spends on its employees versus their earnings.

Online Menu Organization

Because it is cloud-based, Brink offers managers and owners the ability to manage their menu efficiently. All changes they make are put in effect across all POS terminals so they can spend more time catering to customers instead of manually inputting updates in every system.

Online and Mobile Order Taking

Now that more people are on their computers or are on-the-go with their mobile devices, Brink has also built-in a feature that makes it possible for them to place orders online. With online and mobile order processing, restaurants can process transactions made by customers on their PCs, smartphones, or tablets. And because the software accesses a central menu, customers always see up-to-date offerings as well as discounts and promotions.

Smooth Kitchen Operations

Once online and mobile customers have sent their orders to the restaurant, these are immediately processed by the kitchen. So kitchen staff can work on it at once and have it prepared by the pick-up time.

In addition, on-site orders are directly sent to the kitchen as well. With Brink, restaurants can forgo kitchen printers and related paraphernalia. Plus, the display can be customized to better suit a kitchen’s needs.

Boundless Payment Options

Brink supports different kinds of payment options, from credit cards to EMV cards and gift cards. This way, restaurants can cater to people who prefer to pay for their orders in different manners.

Configurable Loyalty Program

The POS software has a built-in loyalty and rewards program that provides restaurants with means to keep customers coming back to them. Once configured, the loyalty solution is made available across the enterprise and on different channels instantaneously.

This feature also gives food businesses utmost flexibility in customizing the rewards system they would like to offer and which would match their target guests more.

In addition, Brink’s loyalty program keeps a restaurant in touch with customers. Emails and surveys keep them engaged and also gauges their preferences so businesses can continually improve their services.

Reports and Analytics

With Brink, restaurants can measure their performance in different aspects by pulling up reports from the system. These could be data from one branch or for different locations. They can choose which kind of information they want included, too. Further, they are assured that what they get are up-to-date.

PROS: Brink POS is easy and simple. Sales transactions can be done quickly compared to older POS. You can also log in and out without any hassle.

CONS: How to get started I think it's a really smart operating system, there are little things I don't like for example the screen timeout if I want to take an order and it takes a long time to tell me what they want. There are several buttons like the $50 bill button.
