PROS: CompensationXL is a highly flexible software. It was easy to implement the system and we merely had to send an email and a video to our frontline mangers to get them started. Our implementation contact at CompensationXL was very helpful and answered all our questions knowledgeably. She was very competent and helped us make the required changes quickly and easily. She has a fantastic attitude and never complained about anything. I highly recommend this vendor.
CONS: The only challenge I had was to import changes to our data. Canned templates would have made the job easier because I needed to group some fields. But since it was my choice to do the work, I have no complaints. It was easy after I worked out a few things. Plus, I could have easily asked our implementation team to manage the data changes.

PROS: With CXL, we don’t have to worry about the manual errors involved in using multiple spreadsheets. Plus, the app improves data integrity.
CONS: I wish I could make changes in the software without needing to download a new Excel file. Plus, we are not able to feed our ADP payroll system directly into CXL and have to depend on manual loads.

PROS: CompensationXL exactly meets my needs. We have used it to automate our Excel-based process. Now, we can provide reports to all managers while previously they had been offered only to executives because it used to take a lot of time to manually prepare them.
CONS: I have no complaints, CXL is a top rate product.

PROS: The software is intuitive and flexible and it is easy to make changes and adjustments. It was easy to implement the system. The reporting analytics are excellent. The customer support is prompt and resolves our issues quickly.
CONS: The only drawback is it is a bit difficult to update employee demographics.

PROS: The knowledgeable client support team helped us configure what we required. Together, we produced a user friendly system that was perfect for our compensation planning requirements for bonuses and merit. They continued to help us by efficiently developing automations and enhancements for our compensation and technical needs.
CONS: It was a standalone product that we could not integrate with our other systems.

PROS: CompensationXL is intuitive and easy to use. HR can use the excellent reporting and analytics features to assess the process and monitor the work of managers. Companies can use the app’s flexibility for their salary planning work. The vendor’s support team was fantastic and helped us get started easily and quickly.
CONS: The only minus point is the software allows a feed of employee data only at the opening of the cycle and not more frequently.

PROS: CompensationXL is flexible and you can customize the software for your specific needs. You can add proxy users who can help with the customization by working with managers. The single sign on (SSO) feature ensures we can control access to authorized users such as internal IT security. Administrative users can easily make changes to the formulas and tool in-house and do not have to request it through HCR although they are responsive. After publication, the new downloads from the site show the latest changes. Managers can work offline and upload the information later when they go online.
CONS: The vendor’s initial training documents were not that useful and we had to create new customized documents for our needs and for our managers. Also, managers who have multiple lower level managers under them need to have a timeline to ensure files are not overwritten inadvertently which can delete their recommendations. The audit feature could be improved as it is a bit basic right now.

PROS: CompensationXL offers unlimited opportunities. We customized the software for our company needs and could use it successfully in our sites in both the US and EU. The system is intuitive and I could start using it without training. Managers can download their spreadsheets, complete their work, and upload the files any time. This offers great flexibility. I can track the stage managers are in the review process which helps me in the administration of compensation planning.
CONS: The only drawback is it is a bit difficult to make changes to the files after managers submit their feedback.
