Harvest Review

PROS: The timer feature integrates well with the mobile app making it a powerful tool. The ability to add notes to tasks created makes the tool very effective. Clients are able to see and understand what one is doing.

CONS: The app limits creative users who would prefer to have different tasks under certain categories. You have to put everything under the same category even if they are not related.

PROS: Harvest makes it easy to track time. I also use the Chrome extension so that I can tell when the timer is going and identify the project that I am working on. I can hightlight the project that I am working on, the team I am working on it with and the kind of work that I am doing at the time. Harvest allows me to work remotely and makes it easy to track the hours that I've worked.

CONS: The mobile app only shows me the numbers of hours that I have worked every day but it doesn't show me the total hours for the week. Another disadvantage is that it only shows the projects that I have worked on but it doesn't show the projects that I tracked in that week.

PROS: I've had my time with several time trackers. So far, Harvest is the most advanced in the market. It gives you the chance to track work in real-time. Or it lets you go back and track things in the later going.

CONS: At times, timers would go through a glitch. It won't stop unless you stop it by hand. Or it won't switch whenever I hit "start" on another timer. There have been instances where I wouldn't be at all aware of this leading me to come up with an estimate on the time spent with a certain task.

PROS: The free version has all the features that you need although they are slightly limited. That allows you to become a paying member progressively as you grow. The invoicing is flexible and simple to use. Morever, it has a mobile app and the support is excellent and fast.

CONS: Sometimes the time tracking app lags. I wish it was possible to do batch record payment.

PROS: Harvest possesses that sleek and clean appearance. It aids in getting you to see the projects you're currently on. You get to see how much time is left in finishing things off. The navigation bar ensures that you can swiftly toggle from one project to the next, teams, timesheets, and a host of others.

CONS: The plugin for Chrome can be stupid at times. I was hoping you can easily make a switch between projects and go through that swiftly. It's so simple when dealing projects one a time. But when you're able to do more than one, it makes things really messy.

PROS: What I love best with Harvest is it's simplicity. Everything is simple to operate. The UI is highly intuitive. Navigating directly from the timesheet to reports of your company to invoice creation is super simple.

CONS: There's nothing much with Harvest that I dislike. So far, it's been a great fit.

PROS: It's lightning quick. Being able to access past invoices is seamless. Starting/pausing time is easy. The search features found in the invoice area is very immediate.

CONS: It's lacking comprehensive integrations. Has relatively few help desks available.

PROS: One thing that I favor with Harvest is its ease of use. Time tracking is very precise. Harvest lets me toggle from one project to the next. It keeps me updated by the minute on what I'm currently working on and the amount of time spent on it.

CONS: The only downside with Harvest is that it's very difficult seeking the precise project that I wanted in billing my time to. I'd frequently have more than 50 projects available for me. At times, these projects entail me to scroll a bit in landing the right projectt that I'm currently on. A search functionality is present but it feels as if it takes a long while to search for that certain project via the entries available.

PROS: Harvest happens to be the best in its class as a time tracking tool for business. The heart of the matter is, no one wants to waste time tracking. Harvest makes it all so simple in tracking time for both projects and clients. There's no need to spend all day inputting data.

CONS: Harvest happens to be a costly software. Having the whole organization on it is never a cheap option. Every several months, I'd see mysefl finding other worthy alternatives. At this point, I've yet to find something that has seamless integration and easy usability.

PROS: It makes it easy to track and break down billable hours of the work that I've done so that I can be paid. It makes you focus better on your job because you know you're being tracked.

CONS: There is a problem with the widget function because it didn't work. That forced me to use the webpage instead, although I know other people will have a problem with that.

PROS: Convenient for tracking and invoicing team tasks. The personal time tracking feature available on Mac makes it easy to know everyone's input on a task. Invoicing is made easy even with payment using PayPal. Personal feature that allows one to track time even on the go.

CONS: The iPhone app needs to be improved because it always lags.

PROS: This is simple in keeping track of time for more than one client. It's also applicable for dealing with numerous projects. Very simple to utilize. It even auto saves.

CONS: It can appear a bit unwieldy in entering time with projects growing. It'd be a plus if there's a workaround in clustering projects under a client. Or at least bucket the projects on the main screen.

PROS: Harvest is very advanced compared to other tools. You can track your work in real time or come back to track it later. It is very useful for organizations with many projects because you can also link different projects together. Availabillity of a mobile app makes it convenient to work on the go.

CONS: It glitches a bit, and sometimes it is hard to know when that happens. I have to keep checking it and estimate.

PROS: A lot of apps are capable of tracking time. And there are plenty others that generate invoices. Only a selective few can do both while having seamless integration with your current project management software. It even contains an iOS application for on-the-go tracking. Harvest was a great fit for my agency.

CONS: It's a bit costly. At times, my employees would overlook things by accident. By this would mean making use of the Harvest button in Asana for keeping track of tasks.

PROS: It is useful and simple to use for nontechnical individuals. You can log in the time worked and also describe the work done on the go without the need to write down.

CONS: There are a couple of disadvantages. First, it was a bit tricky to get used to it at first. In the beginning when I pressed start the timer it would start timing me. I didn't like that because I multi task with different projects. Second, it was confusing to bill the extra time if the time is more or less, although you can key in the hours you've worked.

PROS: Harvest is a great tool for time tracking. It is easy to track time for different projects without the need to spend a lot of time logging in time data. You can easily generate reports and invoices which can then be added to Quickbooks or directly sent to the customer.

CONS: The negative aspect of Harvest is that it's expensive and I wish to get another alternative. It is also more convenient to use for an organization and not an individual.

PROS: It is very simple to use. Just a few minutes into reading the user guide and watching a webinar, I was able to configure it. The mobile app also makes time tracking on the go very easy. It is able to track time worked, therefore one knows to whatever is billable and what is not. It can work across multiple devices making it easier to use on the go. You can add tasks and notes against the tasks added.

CONS: The disadvantage is that you cannot create tasks on the mobile device on the desktop app. You can only create new tasks on the website then reopen the desktop app to access the new tasks in your account.

PROS: The application is easy to set up and use and works exactly as it promises to do. It is easy to manage and track time and generate reports and also connect them to your projects codes. You can easily toggle between projects and tasks.The reporting feature helps you to monitor the amount of work done and compare it to the cost of labor and the hours that were budgeted for. Thus, allowing for ease of being paid what is worth.

CONS: I wish it was possible to carry forward jobs from the previous day like you can do in the .com version. I also wish that I could add a new job within the app so that it can begin to track my time.
